I mostly use the name the game gives unless I don't like it. Then I change it to Thomas which isn't even my real name. And when game asks for last name then I use Rockhard for giggles.

Max Power, the name Homer Simpson changed to for one episode. My favorite LI gets named Sam so we can be Sam and Max. Everyone else gets something random.

Never my real name. Either the default name or whatever I think of in the moment.
It is just a mangling of "John" that only exists in English. It's just that that site is so crap that they couldn't clearly communicate that "Jhon" is a mangled variant of "John" and that "John" comes from Hebrew through Greek and Latin. Name sites aren't really the most reliable sites on the web after all.

Quite frankly I find this option to be superfluous and breaks the suspension of disbelief if the game is not in first person or if you never see the MC's face.
As for the ladies name, I pick from my favorite pornstars based on body type.

Funny story, my first h game was long live the princess and this was on mobile so unsurprisingly the keyboard was in the way and i couldnt actually see what i was typing so i pressed delete a couple times and just hit enter, the name was in the end "Dickonlske" which makes 0 sense but it was the origin of my h game name (dickon being what the game autocreated and lske likely being lake but i typed random stuff out so it created that
We have the same first name. I use Jon. I don't have issue with it except other people spell it John and I'm like no, don't do that. That's an English toilet per Robin Hood Men in Tights.

I mostly go with names of characters from cartoons/games/movies from my childhood. Cartman, Butters, Piccolo, Vegeta, Homer, Pete, Mcclane, there are so many choices. However, 90% of the times, I use "Darkwing Cuck."
