When you are asked to name the MC or other characters, what do you use?

For female names I use my real name, for male names I use my BFF's name.

In a game like WoW I made names that fit the character and what I was looking forward to making. I made a mage that was going to be an alchy so I named it Distillery as an example.

Default name is the best, unless dev just put in some bullshit like "Anon." For one, you can be sure that the name won't conflict with another character. 2nd, it will likely fit the setting and character.

If I have to pick a name blind, it depends on the setting. For contemporary setting, I will go with John for a mundane white dude. Jake for a "cool" white dude. For things like medieval/fantasy/sci-fi/non-humans, I gotta search online.

For MC's name I use first name: Pumpmaster or earlier I used Pumper (if requested what is seldom the case: surname: Gauleiter)
For others I usually leave it at default.

But I searched for this topic because I feel there might be very funny names but I guess most people are discrete about that or why is this thread so short and much OT?

What names do you use in incest games?

I really dislike using my own name. Especially when the MC is some kind of asshole. So I just use a name I have no real connection to.

I was gonna make a discussion on this and glad one was already made. I usually use my real name. But if the game is a bit freaky i tend to use a different name. If the MC is a terrible person or he gets cucked or feminized then I don't wanna see my name. I don't tend to change the names of female characters. Sometimes when you do when you are reading the walkthroughs or trying to put in a cheat you get confused. The guide will use their default names and you don't even know which one they are trying about since you changed their names like a year ago when you dl'ed the game. If the MC has a wife and you can change it then i'll probably change it to my wife's name. just for the added kink.

Dude names I like are Jake, and for female Lilith. I don't know anyone irl that has either of those names. Sometimes it is a little weird if you work with someone all day and you come home and the FL has the same name as that coworker. Just gotta change that or not think of it.

That would be depending on what kinda game it is. If the game is silly, or not serious in nature, I use a funny name like "Jizzo" or "Dicko". For a more serious VN, I use the default name, and if there's none I would use a name appropriate with the setting (if medieval, Stark or something, if scifi something like Ultron or whatever). Sometimes I also use the name that is in the game's preview images, if I happen to catch any.

"Ligma Harry Balls" or "Biggus Dickus"

Can really bring some humor into those dramatic moments. Kind of like naming the MC from Badik Fuckface.

I always use default name made by author of the game, if possible. I want to play the game the way it was intented.

And if not possible, I use generic names like John Smith or Jane Smith.

Naming characters after my own name sounds stupid. If some really weird or bad shit happened to them, it would be weird. It doesnt have to be only porn games, but even normal games. Eg. custom character in Baldur's Gate 3.

For male MCs, I use my real name, Jonathan. Thankfully, it fits the RPGM eight character limit as I hate the shorthand "Jon" (odd, considering my username, I know). For other male characters that can be named, I go with the default given, unless it's mine. Then I just come up with a random guy's name. If he has female family members (such as Summertime Saga), I tend to give them a "J' name like Jade, Jennifer, Joanna or Judith to keep with theme.

For females, I lean towards music inspired names. My goto for a female MC is Harmony. If the she has female family members (such as Blossoming Love), they will get a music name as well. Usually, I go with Aida, Aria, Cadence, Carol, Celeste, Lyra or Viola. And while Melody is also a lovely name I fell out of using it after playing the VN of the same name as I associate it with that character too much.
I rarely play as "myself" and the way I go about it is more like playing as an oc. i almost exclusively play fmc n I normally cycle through using Ivory, Yuu, Eowyn, and Ume. when I play as a man I'll literally just pick a character I like and steal his name
