Personally and ideally? I think shouldn't be limits. All that is in porn games is fiction, not real, and if you can't difference between reality and fiction, you aren't and adult. I mean, if you wanna appeal to the most people I would just avoid stuff that is literally disgusting if you don't have the fetish for it, for example vore, guro, vomit, scat... seriously, this stuff has to be on it's own.

Anything else is kinda fair game and well there are light versions of any fetish and more extreme ones, they kinda decide your public, overall I would say that you have a main "theme" that is the focus then build up from there, just put what you like and make a game that you would love to play, even more because there is no project that has guaranteed success, so at the very least be sure to enjoy making it.

Honestly I wouldn't even dare include the stuff you mentioned in the first paragraph in my works.. I mean it's a sex game, not a.. Well you know. I understand that some people might have some fetish for these but yeah, no.

Yeah I'm getting a grasp of that now. I'll stay true to my artistic and personal preference. I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in what kind of things I'm into anyway. And yeah I won't write things that would just throw the story off completely even if some of my players want it to. As long as it isn't too weird then it's doable.

Hello, this is probably one of the last posts I'll be doing in a while so I wanted to take this opportunity and ask you guys.

Where do you draw the line when it comes to content in porn games? To be more specific, some of the darkest fetishes out there exist. I kind of like pushing the limits but where do I draw the line when I develop my game. Is there any fetish I should avoid incorporating in my games to be able to monetize them?

I don't have any platform specifics yet but I'm at least planning to upload them here and somewhere else where I could get donations for supporting the development of my games.

I think it depends on what kind of style the game has and how its advertised as. The line for me would be scat and gore, but its strange because if artists like asanagi and many others that have such a high quality style drew them I don't mind it as much or at all.

NTR is a niche one, albeit it can have some applications if it's a game with gameplay, in visual novels I truly wonder why people try to add an harem route and a NTR route for the same game, I would just say to stick with one side.

Overall unless you are doing a RPG or strategy game I wouldn't add NTR at all cause it won't have value for most players, the main use that a normal game can have by adding some NTR into it is for risk management and giving some sort of importance to your actions, having some obstacle makes winning more meaningful and it is why I play normal games on max difficulty. Some people like me just feel much more satisfied winning in a situation in which there are risks but that's about it.

You make a good point, I'm coming up with some scenarios that would end up proving useful to the decision importance of a player. I'm not really a fan of cucking/NTR but if I were to use it in a game, I'd use it in a mellow way.

If you chose not to pursue someone, you might lose them to someone else. But yeah in my case, I'm not gonna turn them into a slut of some asshole, maybe just end the route definitively and have them date someone else.

Fortune favors the bold. Vanilla is okay, but those aren't the games I remember most. The ones that are different or at least try to be different are the ones I usually enjoy the most. If the story is well written and the plot is thought out and interesting, the kinks are just the sprinkles on top. Make the game you want to play. If you're catering to everyone else's wants, it'll quickly become a job and not fun. I suspect that's one reason for so many abandoned projects.
