Great work as always Joker, do you have a approx time when the Mod will be updated with the proper wincest dialogue? I refuse to play it vanilla after Ocean cucked out on the wincest, aka the cannon story.

The key question is whether he’ll keep patching the game or not. If he does, it will likely force him to rewrite entire parts of this game’s story to logically reintegrate incest. After what Ocean did, it’s clear that minor tweaks just won’t be enough anymore. Unfortunately, we can’t rule out the possibility that the dev’ will make many more significant changes moving forward. I suspect a simple patch won’t cut it and that it would require the modder a lot of time and effort, potentially for nothing.

No, it’s just that Ocean has completely retconned and rewritten both the character dynamics and much of the story’s core. The narrative is no longer focused on the tensions between Will and Leia based on taboo. Moreover, the argument with Katie has lost all significance.
Helen is no longer the mother of the ex-twins, and they aren’t even really Zanes anymore. Their connections are barely justified, relying on some absurd mafia rules. The plot now revolves around a clichéd and nonsensical Italian mafia storyline that, in my opinion, feels far less engaging.
Considering all the changes Ocean has made in WIAB, undoing them would essentially require a complete rewrite. Reintroducing the incest angle would complicate things even further, demanding considerable time and effort. On top of that, there’s always the risk of further tweaks from the dev, which could make things even more difficult.

damn, that's very disappointing. Some of the scenes barely make sense if they aren't part of a family. I don't even like incest per se, but it's so clear that they are family that it just becomes odd if they're not

The worst part is that he justified this move by worrying Steam or SubscribeStar might give him trouble over the incest in WIAB, or perhaps because he feared repeating what happened with Patreon for SG.
But many pointed out that this reasoning doesn’t hold up, since neither Steam nor SS have issues with or actually ban games featuring this kind of content. And that's especially true for Steam, where plenty of games like this exist, and where Ocean can truly make money outside of SG’s Patreon.
Instead of making things more complicated, a few small tweaks to WIAB’s writing would have been enough to keep the original storyline mostly intact. That would’ve made life easier for modders and allowed a patch that fit with what was already there. He chose to make things far more difficult for no real reason ...

He should have made in beginning set relation with each member, like most games nowadays have a game's default is landlady/tenant/ friend's family, etc., but can edit the way you like it. For example, our home does pretty well.

I think it’s something he may have done early on in both of his games, though it’s hard to keep track with all these visual reworks and story rewrites over time. That said, I know other games have used similar workarounds with Patreon and have stayed on this platform without facing major issues. At this point, though, trying to make sense of Ocean’s decisions over the years just seems like a waste of time and energy ...

What am i doing wrong?? My ch. 3 saves are not loading after using the mod. Gives me roll back error and on chosing "Ignore", new game starts.
My Ch 3. had lewdpatch.
What i did:
1.D/l ch 4
2. D/l the ch. 4 Mod attachment from Jokers' Patreon.
3. Copied the game folder from the mod file to the base game

The game was rewritten from the ground up. Everyone's saves are borked. You have to start over.

Yes, that’s correct, and it’s probably best to assume there won’t be a patch, maybe not even in the future ... I’m not sure if Joker will take on this task, as it seems like it’s going to be a tough one.

Joker, can you confirm if you are making i-patch or not. I'm waiting for the port but it will be done after the patch is updated. So if you are not planning to release, then we can hopefully get ports without it.
