Yearly, not every game fits into a monthly release schedule frame.
It would mean that there would be stretches of 3-6 months of "boring" updates with nothing but talking, people would whine about lack of sex so the dev would have to insert awkward sex scenes here and there and rush it to keep everyone "happy".

So in a way the reason why we like the game and can't wait to play it is because we don't get to play it every month.

apparently updates come out either monthly or yearly, putting out 2, 3 or 4 updates a year is unheard of, it's impossible:FacePalm:

an important reason this can't be done is cause one of those updates might not have sex in it. I don't know if fanbois realized this by now, but ocean games have a rep of having none to very little sex in them, the coping is off the charts.

I don't know if people like you realized this by now, but people who enjoy Ocean's VN already knew this. :Kappa:
It's not a porn game, it's an adult visual novel with more focus on the story, and contains adult themes that may include sex in the future.
This is aiming to have a more realistic story in terms of human relationship, so if you're waiting for a story where MC has a giant cocks, gets to fuck all the girls after he just met them and gets to fuck 'em all, then Ocean's stories aren't for you. And if you already know this and keep coming to complain about it....I dunno, you do you lol.
