I gotta say, out of all the games I've played, this is just that one where it's absolutely gut wrenching to do a play through where you just don't sleep with everyone....

I had a play through last time that had no relationship with Debbie/Lily and still somehow ended up in the 3 way, then had sex with them both in this update.

Same with Jenna, I had a specifically K/D/L playthrough and I got the 3 way with Jenna and Jolina easy, even though I had told Jenna no in the past. Like how the hell? And also how the hell do I say no and stay on the path I'm on when it's so great to say yes?

Because Ace/Cheeky/Cell are pure evil teasemasters.....

Just started a new run and it is amazing how much the graphics improved from Chp 1 to ch 20. The quality of the textures, the lighting, and the posing are so different it almost feels like two different games. So until there is, hopefully, a remaster in the future; I have taken a European cinema abstract approach. When our hero arrive things are dark, washed out, and a bit unclear. As the story progresses, his world begins to brighten and take focus due to love and piecing together the gold digger mystery.

Ok, its a bit much I know; but I just watched Fellini's "Roma" again, and I got in that vibe.

Here you go. the first is a Jenna/Jo focus during the beach house. The second is a solo Lily focus just before Jo's scene Both should trigger the Elaine glitch at the end, but I can give you another save if you need more.

Ha! So your saves are fine. I chatted with Cheeky... he forgot to tell me he was doing this, but rather than just combining stats when you achieve a relationship plateau with the girls, now we are going to start combining them all and closing out lust stats. Either you are on the path with the girls sexually, or not. There will still be relations checks for things, but lust at this point is sort of obsolete as the majority of the girls have combined or are past that point.

I see what you mean, though I don't agree 100%.

I've liked Jolina for a while and I still like her, but her scene with Jenna is really problematic. Fundamentally, it only works in the case where the MC is pursuing both her and Jenna. In cases where the MC never showed any interest in Jolina she just comes across as a borderline sex offender. In cases where the MC has never shown interest in Jenna, Jolina's method makes sense but it feels a little over the top - and Jo really should have discussed it with the MC first.

It's only in the case where the MC was fooling around with both of them that the punishment fits, and thus makes it to the relatively lighthearted zone it really needs to be in. I realize that's probably the most likely scenario for a porn game, but it's not the only scenario and quite frankly the scene needed some other variations to handle those scenarios.

This is particularly disappointing because it's the exact same problem we had in Episode 19 where the big orgy was treated as a one-size-fits-all scene regardless of how much sense it made; the only way for the MC that wasn't dating one of the girls to avoid a threesome was to storm off and hope things worked themselves out without him. [Which, BTW, is still unclear even after this update: are Lily and Debbie a thing now if the MC didn't pursue any girls on team Katie? Beats me.]

My, that was quite the treatise. Since I had a lot of criticisms, let me sum up by saying I still liked the episode and do want to see this through to the end. I'm just disappointed because I feel like this game isn't living up to its full potential.

That may not be an entirely fair way to judge it, effectively asking it to live up to my own ambitions rather than accepting it for what it is. But I'd hate for WTHI to sell itself short, so I hope you'll take this as sincere advice, even if you ultimately disagree with it.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback. I won't give my opinion on each point but just wanted to make a general statement as I think some people are missing the point.

The game is set up to cater to YOUR choices. If you want to play the man-whore route, then you have to accept girls who are willing to go along with this (i.e. girls will have to agree to potentially fool around behind their friends back). If the girls weren't willing to cheat, then the man-whore route would be pretty boring -(you'd end up dumped by all girls very early) Or of you want to play the completely monogomaus route, then that is also possible (and the girls won't cheat.). And this makes for a sweeter/less deceitful playthru with that particular girl (but you miss out on the other girls). Either option is do-able and the girls will change to accomodate. What you are trying to do here is apply the personality of a girl in your man-whore playthru into your solo-romance playthru which just doesn't make sense. If you want all the girls to be 100% perfect morality angels....then don't play the man-whore route. If you want to FUCK everyone, this only works if a) ALL of the girls are complete morons (not the case) or b) some of them need to be OK with being a little deceitful so we have to go with b for the manwhore rouote. So on the man-whore route, it's hard to throw shade on the girls for these choices, if you yourself (MC) are lying / cheating, etc. You can have it both ways in two different playthrus (or more) but you can't expect to have it ALL ways in a single playthru. You can't have a bunch of angelic girls in a man-whore route and you won't end up dating a cheating whore in a solo romance route: (With the exception of one or two females who are decitful in ALL routes - but you'll need to stick around to find out who)

And secondly - you are making some assertions on the assumption that all girls are one-dimensional and what -you-see-is-what-you-get and that their motivations are exactly what they are delcaring. But...each of the women have their own motiviations, etc.... And (just like the MC) sometimes they aren't telling the truth. So... taking Natasha for example....How do you know everything she told the MC in the coffee-shop is true? And how do you know that she may not have some plans of her own?

And one other example....If you waited in the car for Jenna...and then she doesn't go into details....Why are some people automatically assuming NTR? Or why are some people demanding she get dumped because she doesn't give MC a detailed account? Maybe she has her own motiviations... OR maybe she's just a annoyed at MC and showing a little bit of petulance (nobody is perfect) so is getting back at MC by keeping him in the dark. Sort of a "If you wanted to know what would happen, you could have stuck around." It's her first relationship, so it might be something as simple as immaturity / being in a huff! Or she could be the Anti-Christ and plotting to murder the MC! You'll find out eventually... But never assume they are one-dimensional.

Yeah, if Monica doesn't suddenly come to her senses and realize that the MC's dick, though magical, isn't enough of a reason to destroy her relationship with her daughters.

I want the revelation of who he is fucking to happen soon, his declaration of love (or not), the fallout to all of it. Having to pickup the pieces after all that he has done (or who he has done) will hopefully be deliciously terrible and, perhaps, humorous. Just going to be a long time getting there...





I understand that the game is very much sex first and everything else a distant second, it's just frustrating that it is written in such a way that even when you play the MC as someone who is committed to only one woman you spend every update turning down women who get overly upset about the fact that the MC is turning them down (can't the game be programmed in such a manner as to check if a character was turned down and then not ask every time the game is updated?) As if the MC should, of course, be fucking them all even though the game is NOT going to have a harem. You can declare your love for Katie in front of her friends and those same "best" friends will step up and ask about fucking behind her back...

Anyway, just something I noticed as I played through the game on my Katie path, I quickstarted for everything else.

Good point - I'll do a double check and give more options to abort earlier for other women. I thought I had plenty but obviously not.

Yeah, I'd really like to be able to say no without the game asking, "are you sure?", "are you really sure you're sure?", "last chance to change your mind! So are you super sure you're sure you're sure?"...

Anyway, I suppose it's better than being forced to fuck someone, at least we've not had that scenario happen in this game.

Also bear in mind that there's plenty of people who turned down a girl and then want to change their mind after other events unfold....so if we made every decision final - would piss off a lot of people....if we give multiple opportunities to change your mind...also pisses a lot of people off so damned if you, damned if you don't..... Once we get the mind-reader option turned on in renpy, we'll be golden!

True, wasn’t suggesting otherwise but there’s no reason the MC couldn’t have asked for their help. Do they have to help? No. Could they have helped anyway? Yes.
Jenna could have tried hacking someone else too. Obviously they wanted the Jolina fuck party scene to happen, whereas I’d rather not...

So you want an episode where the Mc randomly goes in and out of businesses asking could he see their CCTV footage and (realistically) being refused. I agree it would add a bit more depth to the investigation but it would be a boring update.
