Aaand I take it back. I feel bad for retracting the earlier compliment (especially as the devs themselves liked it) but this game's ending is really weak and corny. There's no point in going into more detail, a ton of other posts do a good job of explaining why this is the case.

For 23 episodes I absolutely loved this game. The story and character development were great. I marked it as a favourite.
Then came episode 24 when you started to have to permanently end relationships and it all fell apart. I know the Dev has said many times that this is not a harem ending game. But the choices you are forced to make with the main family would result in all members being incredibly unhappy and ripping the family apart. I know it’s a game. But when you have played it for years and developed a bond with. You don’t want to be forced to hurt them.
I know the Dev said it’s not a harem. But I can’t play this any more. It took all the enjoyment out of it.

Well, I am with you there.
I saw this coming and I simply stopped playing, waiting for the Completed.
Then I will replay this, but with only ONE girl. The others will be treated as if they killed my dog. No matter who they are, how hot they seem. I'll treat them all the worst possible way the Dev allows me.
I'll finish the game, delete it and all the saves, block it and put it on ignore.
Yeah, I'm being unreasonable. Fuck it. The amount of heartache I had to go through with this game justifies it for me.
This game is the reason I only play Harem games now. Or, play these stupid "One Only" stories only once. Fuck that nonsense of choosing.

How can they? They have been trained to have only 2 feelings, love or hate. They can't go out of their binary view of the world. They can't possibly comprehend that it is possible to love to hate, to hate to love, to love what we hate, to hate what we love and so many other iterations. Simple people, have simple feelings. To be clear, for those on the balcony, I adore this game, my fury comes from exactly how much I love it. How much I allowed myself to be involved with the characters. Yes, I am FURIOUS. I truly am. Because I love them all and I can't have them all.
This is what good games do. Doesn't mean that it is comfortable. Doesn't mean that it has to be comfortable. I have complex feelings about this game. I will do what I said. Because of what I feel. Because of what the Dev made me feel.
So, breathe, relax, I am not HATING the game. I am hating the choices, more specifically, I am hating to have to choose.

Was going to say pretty much the same thing, and I read your initial comment too. But since you said it so perfectly, there's really no need for me to basically repeat what you said in this post. But I will tell you this, though. I hadn't played it in a while, and I was under the (wrong) assumption, that it in fact, WAS a harem game, and played it as such. So imagine my shock and surprise when the choice about Angel/Wanda popped up, and I refused to go spend the day with them on the boat just as a test, and even more so, now, having to make most of my chosen ones hate me, despite having a good relationship with them, up until THIS point now. Fuck my life, am I right?
And from that perspective, I agree with you that harem/incest games are better, but even in those, it can be a problem too, just from having too many women you're "dating". But I'm gonna take a cue from you, play it from the beginning, and put all my eggs in ONE basket in that playthrough. But, and I gotta say this too, the dev could at least make the break-ups in a nicer way, where the MC apologizes for choosing someone over the other, and them not going psycho towards him over it, but rather accepting the fact that he did choose so and so person, and move on. And like you said, I hate having to choose one over the other, and I didn't even know without a doubt, that it wasn't a harem game, so at least there's that, although it doesn't comfort me much RIGHT NOW.
