My first play through was without the incest Patch and then with it enabled, and it just seems so vastly different...

Its one thing to have that dynamic of humor between the Mc and a GF Vs Mc and Sis...
Not sure which is funnier, I am leaning towards sibling What are your thoughts
The Humor is Witty and has given me many laughs.

Would anyone happen to know?

FYI: For those of you who havent worked this out, the V 1-12 has to be applied in order for incest patch to work, Then if u want to play v 013 you have to install the 13 over it but with no incest, at least at the moment... If anyone knows of one thats been updated please correct me on this.

yeah it will be updated but not by Phalzyr anymore but our hero BadSisterFucker is working on a new one be patient.

To everyone asking about the incest mod.

As has been said before, Phalzyr is not going to be able to continue working on that, due to him being on the dev team and not wanting to risk with Patreon. So, I spoke with him and offered to do an incest mod for the game. I would expect sometime near the end of this week to have the Incest/Walkthrough parts done, and hopefully I will have the Gallery feature done hopefully fairly soon after. The only reason it is taking so long is that I am going more or less from the ground up, future updates will happen MUCH more quickly, since at that point I will only have 1 episode of content at a time to do.

And yes, Lains Mod for this game does NOT contain an incest mod.

Update: Incest/WT completed for Episodes 1-11. Episode 12 in progress.

Yeah I tried Lains mod from Patreon but with ep 13 it doesn't include incest anymore but I have to say I don't tried a complete playthrough just the beginning scene with Lains mod and read in the forum that it has no incest anymore unless you have another link for Lains mod I am not aware of

But, on the bright side, I should be done with the Incest/WT part of the mod either late tonight or early tomorrow. Gallery will be coming reasonably shortly thereafter, hopefully sometime next week.

That is because this game was originally meant as an incest game. That's why the reactions of the principals make more sense as family members, especially in the early part of the game. However, the developer decided not to buck the Patreon crack-down on incest games, so we have what he have.

But lately, the game has turned so that making Monica the MC's mother makes less sense, making the work of any Modder more challenging. And what will they do if the MC's mother actually turns up as a uniquely separate character?

Well I dont know about anyone else but theres a lot more depth to the VN With it rather then without it...
At the end of the day it all comes down to taste, and since I played both ways...

Without the mod seemed just Plain Vanilla... Regular girl meets boy...

With the Mod... now we talking lots of depth, lots of additional things to deal with, and the taboo of it makes it that much More... Enjoyable.

No offense, but the story is completely not about "girl meets boy" at all. The story is about the inheritance (how to fulfill the condition, finding out who the mysterious gold digger is, who sent the email to Monica, etc).

With the Mod... now we talking lots of depth, lots of additional things to deal with, and the taboo of it makes it that much More... Enjoyable.

It's more enjoyable if you have incest fetish and that's fine. But I call BS on the lots of depth and additional things to deal with. It doesn't really work with the game because if Monica/Katie/Jenna are family, then obviously they are supposed to be involved in the inheritance conflict. Doing so completely changed the complication of the base game.

Same case with Zarah/Monica.
Now there has to be a reason why you are living with dad if Monica is your mom.
Monica can't really be the "lover", which removes pressure from the character.
Unless no one knew you at the party, you can't pretend to be Katie's boyfriend.

A lot of stuff would have to change, that why I don't like it, it's not as simple as changing the relationships.

At any rate, I am fine with where it stands, and have already said that it would not make so much sense any more to change it into an incest game.

The dev said that idea for this game originally stemmed from incest scenario so you are right. I am pretty sure he posted about it in this thread so I have no idea why would people say otherwise.

Yep. Initial idea was that rich Dad kep Mom and Sisters out of the picture after the divorce. (So no dead Mom). Made some changes to make it patreon friendly. But once all episodes complete, I'll make a F**-You Patreon version where Mom and Sisters get to welcome their brother when he cums home!

My input on the incest / non-incest thing:
The very first seed of an idea was a long-lost son returning back to a family home. But I had two issues with this. 1: Obviously due to Patreon rules this wouldn't have been allowed. 2: There may not have been enough original ideas to set it apart from others in that genre. So then I started thinking about the whole friend of his mother scenario and non-sisters whom the MC knew from a young age and that became the new "seed". Everything else, the background plot (haven't seen much on this, but lots more to come), the specific characters, the dead mother ALL stemmed from that second (non-incest) seed. So pretty much everything in the game eveolved from the non-incest idea. And a lot of what's in the game (and what's to come) really only makes sense in the non-family world. So I wouldn't consider it an incest game that has been changed. I'd consider it a non-incest game with some taboo-ish origins.
