As much as millions would be great to have the only thing I really need for my MC is the beach house.

With or without the money he gets to wake up with whatever woman he ends up with with the beach at his doorstep and an amazing view that would make the most sheltered of romantics cream their panties.

Even without the millions he has enough to live comfortably until he finds a job he enjoys and he has a home to live in.

The money isn't what will swing my pick of "main girl". There is just no denying that Lily is, effortlessly, the single most fun and sweetest out of all of them. Add in that she knows how to cook, takes care of herself and her surroundings and loves her friends .... she is WTHI's ultimate waifu.

Katie is very close but while her jealousy is contained it's still a emotion i'm not very fond of. While her plus points do cancel that out somewhat it is still a concern. That's more a me issue, i've dated a jealous girl and there are only so many "where were you, who were you with" conversations I can have before I start to go loopy.

Way I see it, i'm not a jealous girl, never have been. If someone i'm in a relationship with is going to cheat on me then me acting like a jealous lunatic isn't going to stop them. In fact that would more likely be the cause.
Perfectly summed up for me.

If MC makes a fake donation of money to Zara, what can his father will conditions and the detective do to him?
No money changes hands until will conditions have been met.

He won't get that money until the lawyer is happy that all conditions have been upheld and then they will release the funds.

Any breach of conditions forfeits any rights to that money and it either goes to the next person in line in the will or the state.

That's assuming it goes by RL legal standards.

Although if conditions are breached once funds/estate has been released then it's a breach of contract, I believe it is a material breach but I specialised in employment law, it didn't cover wills I just know it falls under breach of contract I just can't remember which breach it is.

I know will are legally binding contracts and any sort of breach is a pretty big deal and ranges from repayment to jail time.

Either way he'd be fucked.

As far as I know, nothing they can do to MC. Donation is basically a gift. Once the money is MC's, he's free to do whatever he wants with it.

Depends what country you are in, where I live once the the will has been satisfy and all condition are met and money released. The beneficiaries can spend the money however they want. Only time this doesn't happen is when the money is put in a trust and the trust has rule set out for how the money is to be handle. Secondly regardless of the will Elaine would be considered common law wife as where I live , two people are considered common law partners if they have been continuously living together in a conjugal relationship for at least three years. If they have a child together by birth or adoption, then they only need to have been living together for one year.

Secondly regardless of the will Elaine would be considered common law wife ( as long as they lived together for at least 2 years) and be entitled to 50% of the Estate under Family law.
I don't know about other countries but common law marriage does not exist in the UK, tis but a myth.

There is a common myth that if a couple live together for a set period of time then this will create a legal position known as a “common law marriage”. However, this is not the case. No such legal entity exists in England and Wales and a lengthily relationship, even where a couple live together, does not confer the same legal rights as those conferred by marriage or civil partnership.

In England yes, but Canada no - family law act states in Canada, two people are considered common law partners if they have been continuously living together in a conjugal relationship for at least three years. If they have a child together by birth or adoption, then they only need to have been living together for one year. I believe Ireland and Scotland have don't have common law marriages either, but have laws to cover this area.

Let's say Mc goes to live in the beach house and meets the conditions of the will, away from Monica Kate and Jenna and spends all the money and once spent back to Monica and daughters, who could bother him?
If he receives the money it means that he has fulfilled all the requirements of the will and that as I said before if he donates his money (fake) to Zara what would a private investigator who is also private do to me.
Once I've satisfied the conditions the money is mine and if I make the money disappear, I've told Dad to fuck off.
Unless there is a clause requiring the money to be returned if I, after receiving it, violate the provisions of the will.

As far as I've understood it MC receives the money in increments over five years. After that he is free to do whatever he wants. If he breaks the will within those five years he forfeits any future payments. Someone may remember if there is a payback clause somewhere in there.

Best of both worlds would be to take the money, no contact for five years, then continue like before - if they are willing to wait.

I believe the conditions of the will were to stay away for either 3 or 5 years.

There IS a clause requiring money to be returned if you breach the will, that's the whole point to will conditions, they are legally binding and recognised in court.

So if he spends millions and then moves back to Monica he'd be millions in debt for the rest of his life and possibly face jail time.

Legal documents aren't something you fuck around with. It's not a playschool game of "ner ner, I spent it you can't touch me" because yes, yes they can. They can bend you over a legal barrel and dry fuck your arse raw.

In the real world I doubt a will like this could be legally binding, but for the game you are absolutely correct.

The final chapter will have choice consequences, expect to live with them.

I'm pretty sure the lawyer said any money paid out could not be reclaimed but future payments wouldn't happen.

I knew you were more interested in the money than you let on! :D

I don't know about other countries but common law marriage does not exist in the UK, tis but a myth.

In Swedish Family Law "Common Law Spouse" (or "Sambo"= "live together") have slightly different rights to inherit compared to "Legally married spouse" especially when there are children from previous involvements.
When a parent dies, a child can not be excluded by a will.
The inheritance is always split 50/50, where the kids share 50% and the surviving spouse gets 50%.
Debts can never be inherited but then the survivors get zilch except in case of Life insurance where the benefactors ar paid.

IIRC....it is 10 years (katie even says she would wait or words to the effect of)...paid in installments and whatever is paid is his to keep. If he breaks the contract, he gets nothing else. Real law is irelevent, this is what the game states.
