Seems you didn't really READ 50s detectives : chandler, brown, and so much more .... Most of females are just toys
Probably more than you'd ever think. Marlowe is a incredible seducer, but when a woman throws herself at him, he usually runs away. Once he gets to the point where he can't hold on to her, he'll never last.
You're right, women are mostly just dumb toys here, but noir detectives just don't have that final shot at the gate.
After all, Chandler himself stated that a detective story cannot have both suspense and love at the same time. Even though Christie, for example, has done it many times.

I really like the artist's style but I'm sorry, I can't get into the role of an immature and spineless shota.
It's a huge waste of talent, money and time, find a good story, and preferably a complete one!, with a mature MC with a manly attitude and you'll find a lot more patrons willing to support you.

And another thing, the '40s were hard years that gave birth to real men, and children had to matured quite fast, if you didn't grow a pair quickly you didn't reach 18.
To each their own, I take a flawed guy anytime over the mr perfect that doesn't do anything wrong that all woman blindly fall in love with.

„Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.” As for me, now 62 years old, 6 feet tall, married at 22, with 3 wives and 4 recognized children, of which 2 before marriage, allow me to have a different opinion.

The style is the reason I checked it out and while it is interesting I feel like its going to wear off and become annoying. Only time will tell

The tags need to be updated for this game. The pic clearly shows gay shit happening. Updated the tags.

Far be it from me to beat myself in the chest, I've exposed only a few of the reasons why, despite the fact that I admire the art of the characters and the era in which the story takes place, my brain can't put me in the shoes of an immature shota MC with no spine and give me a boner on top of that.

Then go fuck one of your "3 wives" instead of being on the internet arguing about porn games and lying about being some kind of gigachad.

Nice, one more piece of advice from a stranger, "attacking" a person he doesn't know, who frequents the same place as him.
I was sharing and arguing my personal opinion on a public thing which everyone knows/sees, not about those who have a different opinion than mine.

Why is the overview in Spanish, though the creators patreon page and the game itself is English?

Sound a little more defensive will ya? Also you've so far demonstrated exactly zero actual understanding of the time period in question contra spouting some BS manosphere fables with what look suspiciously like Social Darwinist understones.

The fact of the matter is that the Forties were in the US a veritable boom period as the massive economic and industrial investment in the war effort created unprecedented opportunities for employment and social mobility (New Deal policies had already dealt with the aftereffects of the Great Depression over the previous decade) - in the *rest* of the world meanwhile demographic losses in the order of multiple millions were only too common and entire countries were reduced to little more than smoking rubble.

And the Fifties? The takeoff into what historians call the "Postwar Golden Age" (the French pithily term it "Trente Glorieuses", "Glorious Thirty [years]"), the unprecedented period of uninterrupted growth and rising prosperity that lasted until the Oil Crisis in the mid-Seventies. (As a curio aside that watershed was also when the Communist Block first started seriously struggling and by the early Eighties had lost much of its "street cred" both home and abroad; much as they might have preferred otherwise they were as much a part of the global economy as anyone else.) So spare me the ahistorical tough-guy posturing.

Yes, it was the "Golden Age" of easy living for the common people during WW2 and immediately after, especially in Franco's Spain and especially for the lost childrens of Francoism.
And don't bother counter-arguing me again, it's not useful to either of us, trying to change the opinions of a stranger on the internet is stupid and a waste of time for both of us.
