OK, completed it three times (defeating Dina x2 and losing). I'm sure I've missed stuff though (including the preg ending Bluburu mentioned). See end of post for a list of Dina's moves.
The prologue and one ending is mind controlled sex of a specific sort. The girls have "mind control plants" implanted in their brains to make them want sex with you. You can see creepy tendrils coming out of their skulls. Not my thing. So if you were hoping for combat sex, resistance, training them to want you, winning them over to your side etc. be aware that's not in here. The other ending is
which does not have mind control.
The first fight is semi-scripted. You exchange three blows before running away, and the outcome seems irrelevant. She'll be healed back up to full when you next encounter her.
Dina runs away frequently. I haven't worked out if it's when she reaches an HP threshold or after a certain number of attacks. Nothing you can do about it. This probably means she can only be beaten in certain locations. I don't think she can lose the fight in the first "real" fight, at least - she flees at around 200HP.
You can also run away. This puts you back wherever you entered a particular room. Sometimes useful to avoid an unwanted slog of a fight with yet another soldier.
Dina has a lot of HP, and they increase over time, though she doesn't fully heal. Your attacks also do very little damage to her, only ~45HP for a full-strength blow, and 20 or less for a light or counterattack.
There's an area to the right of the initial fight (go back down below the tables, then right and up through the door) where there's a manual explaining how to fight. It's only in Japanese, though.
There's an area with some levers which allows you to open various gates, while closing others. This can mean encountering Dina in a different place, but it doesn't seem to mean anything. The endings I got were unchanged.
Tips:
- use Shift to speed through text (especially the interminable, unskippable cutscene intro which you are forced to watch even when you choose to skip the prologue) and to move faster. I don't think you can speed up combat though.
- there's a kitchen down and left from the initial princess fight. You can heal there by eating the meat, any number of times.
- the first set of soldiers (100HP) have some logical connection between the Study Enemy description and what they do
- as I recall, zero of Dina's moves have any logical connection between Study Enemy and what she does
- the only benefit from fighting the normal soldiers is to charge up your stars (these are your SP). You need these for your special move. There's no point studying their moves to improve your skill, since they're different from Dina's.
- your special move appears to be the only way to counter Dina's spellcasting; I had no luck trying any other moves against it. The actual outcome of you both using special moves seems random. Sometimes it just negates both, sometimes you knock her down.
- although you have an inventory, I have not found anything you could put into it
- you can surprise soldiers by approaching them from behind, allowing a free hit. Always strong attack if you manage this. Try to surprise whenever you can because the fights get boring fast.
