Why are female characters so “ugly” in most European and American adult games?

No offense and insults, but I'm really, really confused。
I'm an Asian and I can't understand why most of the 3D adult games, come from Europe and America. The female character looks terrible, with a face with a lot of edges and corners, like a hexagon. There is also a huge mouth and protruding lips, and there are a lot of black pieces, white pieces, and red pieces on the face.The skin is also poor, and all in all, most of the female characters look like a woman in her forties and fifties。All in all, the whole person looks weird。It's not even as good as a woman in reality。Why not do it like Final Fantasi and MONSTER HUNTER RISE ？
Or is it that many people really like this style or that the aesthetics are different in different regions?

Because westerners have no taste, your average westerner will look at a girl with a jawline double the width of arnold schwarzenegger's and say "OMG SHE'S A SUPERMODEL"

Then they will see an actual perfect doll like this.

And say "Ewww she looks like a child wtf"

Most westerners have no taste, be glad you come from the based culture you do.

"Perfect"? meh, to you maybe. Looks bleh to me. And I am sure if I showed you someone that I thought was perfect, you'll doubt it too. You should say "personal opinion" when it comes to things you find "perfect" but not everyone else.

I'd say, a perfect doll would be one that doesn't wear make-up/fake stuff/outfits to impress. Just all natural. She doesn't look like a kid to me. But I also don't want to get with that

If we are speaking objectively, clearly beauty is in the eye of the beholder. there are men out there that think 500 pound ball women are perfect, meanwhile i would rather throw up. and there is no divine being to come down and say which of us is right, therefore objectively nobody is right or wrong.

But if all humans spoke objectively there would be no conflict our world would be a boring flat line of absolute truth. therefore you have no taste and no culture sir, you cannot appreciate the majesty of Asian doll girls

Cartoons is not, all of it has each own aestetics. More like fantasies than copy from real life. What`s why I point to interview with ShindoL, he openly says a bunch about that.
Also western don`t have same style. Bang the simpsons even more farer from RL than anime, and typical disney princess has 2/3 of anime girl features.
And eyes, almost everybody makes a unrealistic eyes.

I don't know, I'm trying to make the characters as attractive as possible to me, and from what I've seen, most people like them.
And won't make unattractive characters to me. I get really bored modeling them.

That second character's hips are something else. Five times the size of the waist!

The fourth and fifth characters are well-proportioned IMO.

Not that any of this matters. Know your audience and what they like. Seems like a lot of people on F95 enjoy this style of modeling so you're probably on the right track.

Also, there's a huge problem with Patreon. They're banning games with characters that are clearly over 18, but due to their body size and proportions, they classify them as minors. Better safe than sorry

Ik in the us a lot of peeps love their women wide hips fat ass and thighs (bonus points if they got fat tits). It's 1000% different views on beauty.

I know what you're talking about and I agree. You are probably referring mostly to Daz renders which tend to be the medium for most these designs. On Japanese forums I have seen the same sort of bewilderment from users, asking why Western eroge characters look fat or like obasan.

I think it largely comes down to cultural and anatomical differences between Asia and the West.

Western ideals:

• Thicker, stockier, and fatter bodies in general
• Large breasts, ass, and thighs... often very large
• Plump lips
• Thick eyebrows
• Rounder face shapes but with inset cheeks with high cheekbones
• Heavy use of makeup including lipstick and eye shadow
• Tanned (and to a lesser extent) shiny skin
• Overt, sensual, and assertive sexuality

Asian ideals:

• Slimmer, smaller bodies in general
• Small-to-medium sized breasts, ass, thighs
• Thin lips
• Thin eyebrows
• Thin and "pointy" face shapes
• Light use of makeup, at least superficially
• Pale, matte skin
• Subdued, receptive, and passive sexuality

Obviously, these are generalizations and everyone will have their own preferences, but the trends can be seen over the population at large.

I personally live in Japan and much prefer the Asian beauty standards and draw inspiration from them. As we are on a Western forum, however, it's hard to complain about 3D renders following Western beauty standards.

I know a lot of 3D animators from Europe and America, they are simply geniuses, their legs, hips, boobs, and body proportions are perfect, and they can be loved all over the world. But in the world of gaming, those makers will definitely not be able to conquer everyone.
