WHY DO YOU PLAY PORN GAMES?

If im being honest I get into these games because of the story or characters. I find I enjoy them more than most AAA or AA games. I'm not even playing for the porn aspect while yes I do like it as it's more immersive unlike in some AAA / AA games the screen goes blank or w/e and it's just implied sex since im a visual person. But I could play games like these without sex or porn and enjoy them. For example Hillside long game and enjoyed every minute of it because of the characters and story and the path I was on had zero sex. But I think it's for the romance side of getting to know the characters more while part of it is cause im single but also I find personally I can get attached to characters in certain games / media easily. That isnt different here but it feel different since you spent more time getting to know them when they are done correctly.

First and foremost, it’s the porn. I’m 40 and I’ve been watching porn since I was 12 or 13, so watching some rando fucking is boring as hell. But porn games are sensual. Something that I do really enjoy is the rhythm between sex scenes and story parts. To be honest, I don’t enjoy most stories: all the magical stuff draws a long sigh from me; the same goes for the “from saint to slut” stuff or the “harem building (and they’re all fine with it)” stories. But when I get a porn scene with a character that I like, I get excited, and then, the tension drops and I move forward in the story, waiting for the next sex scene, getting more and more excited… It doesn’t feel like brainlessly beating my meat; even when the story isn’t great, it feels more like an experience or something…
A great part of this “experience” is input from the player. By having a choice, any choice, I’m an active part of the story or scene; it’s way more immersive than porn, and really helps the suspension of disbelief.
The last thing I really enjoy is that it isn’t real and nobody gets hurt. Everybody knows that the porn industry is pretty sick: people are lied to, used, blackmailed, drugged, raped… but even if I whip my cat-girl to the bone, nothing happens in real-life (except I have to dismantle my keyboard to wash it AGAIN).

It's gonna sound dull but i'm just an' 80's kid that used to see boobs everywhere in every piece of media, mom is a photograph so naked girls on the walls and I studied fine art so a lot of naked drawing, I just basked my whole youth in nudity and it's was sane, it was the norm, I used to read the "Heavy Metal" magazine and animated movies, and all thoses old comic where the characters are always naked and fucking everywhere.
but it recent years I think as they try to make the internet a safe space for the fragile, they vaccum cleaned all controversial topic and everything sexual in nature of all media.
I would guess my reason to play thoses games with nudity and sexuality just feel more familiar.

I've always hated stories where girls either fall in love or downright gets the hots for the main character over the course of the story, and he ends up turning them down, either without cause, or for a stupid one. This is a non-issue in porn games. Most porn games have a whole slew of other problems, but that isn't one of them.
But if you find the right one, you can pick how sharp the main character is, and which of the girls he gets.
Stories, regardless of their medium. Excellent plot? Fulfilling romance without that will-they-won't-they bullshit? Stories such as those are gems.

I'm probably in a minority but I actually enjoy them for the story/drama. Not bothered about lewds at all but ones like Summers Gone are my favorite. I just love gorgeous renders in a Visual Novel that accompany a story that captures my interest.

2 birds one stone right, if the gameplay is sort of interesting AND I get to see big titty anime bitches, it's kind of a no brainer.
I even try to mod this into non-sexual games to improve the experience if I can help it, Terraria is a good example of a very fun game that has a really strong H-Mod community.
You also get a little tiny sense of accomplishment instead of just plugging in a bunch of tags on some hentai database and getting whatever you want instantly. Anything to fry my dopamine receptors even further than they already are.

Video games are more fun, than traditional porn because it's an interactive form of media. It's also very creative, so there are a lot of interesting games to explore. Jeez, some devs even go as far as to have coherent plot, developed characters and kinda immersive worlds, isn't that cool?
