5 grandkids? Congratulations. Learning about opposite sex and sex in general was much better years ago than in 21st century. I mean, you would think that people are better educated today, when in fact it's not the case. Not just about sex, but about life in general.

There's been a lot of...let's say life involved in raising a daughter and a son into their 30s. And, of course, we might have a third if it wasn't for the D&C that missed a bit that nearly killed my wife.

I'd agree that devs and players could just assume the girls are on the pill, but I have seen games where devs have this type of dialogue after nearly every sex scene, sometimes even with the same girl more than once,

You know, you reminded me of something. My game, even though is more gayer than a F95Zone convention, still has the vaginal sex tag. Why? because it have one scene with a trans man. Unlike 99.99% of the scenes with biological men in my game, that scene with the transman is a little bit tricky to get into the sex part (partly due to my audience not liking pussies) and in one of lines AFTER the act, the transman jokes and scares the MC reminding him he could get pregnant, giving him a death scare, but then he assures him he usually takes the pill beforehand. I'm planning to have at least one or two additional scenes with hot transmen I've seen in porn, it's kinda like an obscure kink I have (Keep in mind the only vaginas I've ever seen are those in porn films and internet).

That was part of the original design of my game. I planned them as debuffs, that get worse in time, leading to a game over if they weren't treated at the hospital. I even had the condoms as items in game already.

But I decided against it. They don't add anything, to gameplay, story or eroticism, and it's a subject that triggers me a little. so I didn't implement that part in my game. I'm planning to have an entire storyline based on male preg on my next game (what?? the game is magic based, a wizard did it) but I'm not coming back to the STD feature.

the obvious answer is most devs aren't interested in that. otherwise you'd see it more.

is it a bit of a pain to add? sure. but I've never seen anyone who's dying to make pregnancy part of his game not adding it because of the extra work. it's not THAT much more work. and mostly you can just half-ass it anyway for the duration of it. just show the woman belly up on sofa, her room, kitchen every now and then and make her refuse any events requiring extensive rework. add the preggers sex events if you like, but you don't have to.

and the extra work in question is exactly what they'd WANT to see, so I can't really see how they wouldn't love to use their time for THAT work. much more likely that they'd hate making the usual (non-pregnant) sunbathing/showering/yoga boilerplate events.

Yes and no. If you go into a fantasy game and not a historical game, then the author can add whatever mechanic he wants eg. magic. So depending on the dev, much more may be possible than even in modern realistic games.

This can range in extremes. Some devs, for example, force condoms on the Mc when he bangs girls. Other games might force the Mc to pull out. Which just FYI to all the devs out there, is NOT an effective form of birth control, even precum can have jizz in it and from the moment you feel your release coming on you are already leaking the baby batter, basic biology. Other devs allow the option to creampie, but then have the girl (or worse the Mc) talk about being on the pill or getting a pill to undercut the moment.

I also get the point about worrying about pregnancy is dumb if your game lasts less time than it would take to even notice or contend with a pregnancy, unwanted or otherwise. Just go for that cream pie if you want because the story will end before there need to be ramifications!

The pill has had 100% success for me so far so I guess I can see it being a mood killer if your thing is pregnancy sex with a creamy ending even if the story won't go there- it's the thought that counts!

But impregnation is literally an almost innate preference to most hetero males in a fantasy game because it is a base biological imperative(without thought of negative consequences because fantasy game). I would barely consider vaginal cream pies even a fetish rather they are simply the default operating procedure.

I don't see it being brought up any more than lots of other kinks, the only real difference I see is that the pregnancy crowd act like everyone should have or does have their kink.
