Honestly, I never paid too much attention to those 'don't worry, I'm on the pill' lines but now you mentioned it's true they exist. Only devs could say why they add them, if it's a way to ensure players their actions won't have that consequence or it's simply lazy writing -or a way to keep the preggo fans away from demanding that content later on.
