Isn't that obvious? Fetish cannot be explained. When you question people why they like Incest, Harem, Rape or any other questionable fetish, they will come with these "arguments": Is natural for man, two thousand year ago it was common, woman actually likes it and etc... Well, no, it's not obvious, and by reading through this thread you can see many sound arguments of people putting very effectively into words the reasoning behind the popularity of futa. Asking why do you like futa, being futa something that I don't like but which is very popular, is somewhat similar to asking why do you like Game of Thrones, being Game of Thrones something that I don't like but which is very popular (obviously it's an example, but I hope you get the idea). I want to read from people capable of portraying their thoughts into words, their own reasons and opinions on the subject, not a defense in favor of one's kinks or preferences. I thought I was clear enough when I said that my interest was genuine, and by no means did I pretend to argue against futa. Now, since it's a thread with the very question as the title, and quite a few answers alreadyin it, I would expect that new comments would add more to the discussion, rather than being some triggered "live and let live".

Nevermind, no offense taken. It's just that I've seen quite a few comments in the thread reacting negatively to the question, as if it implied some sort of critique to the people who liked futa. And that's what I don't get, it's not like I go to you and say "hey, why do you like chicks with dicks? That's gay, yo". I just opened a thread for people who feel like sharing their thoughts on the matter, which means that there is no compromise and anyone can ignore it. So that's why it seems unjustified to feel attacked to any degree by the question. But anyway, you took your time to develop your argument, so thank you for that.
To be honest, all fetishes/kinks can be explained. It will most likely require variable amount of work with psychoanalyst and self-awareness though. For example, it took me few years to understand why I like NTR and similar. Suddenly, it made sense and I'm fine with it.
