Lot of arguing like a textbook corpo feminists, trying to play this off as one sex against the other and no my argument isn't "women bad", society today is rotten for both men but anyone with any braincells and any experience with politics knows that looking at mens issues is a political toxic.

Yes men are powerful and have advantages, individual men, but men as a group are safe targets for hate or vitriol.

Look at any moderated social media site, insults directed at men are completely acceptable.

Men are killing themselves in records numbers and it doesn't get anywhere near the attention it should because there is no political drive, it isn't just "haha men not get laid, poor incel", its a societal wide issue with the death of cultural identity, humans have a powerful need to belong to a group, men even more so.

There are psychological reasons for this, we care less for men because men are suppose to take care of others, but that's no excuse for people who are aware of this and companies and politicians are aware of it, they know all the fucking psychological tricks in the pick, every aspect of the adds we watch is tailor made to exploit or prey on you in some way.

I would say its safe to say many of you are socially isolated and that's not an attack, and it should be acknowledged that part of the problem is neglect or even attack on the male identity by companies.

the word "burgeious" which i only ever see marxists use.
okay, I guess that's a fair association, but I don't think you're gonna find a socialist let alone marxist anywhere who isn't fully onboard with women's emancipation. the exploitation of unpaid domestic labor by capitalist structures is like one of the core issues.

In usa theres a sub-culture of women whose life revolves around catching as much dick between their legs as humanly possible. There stupid, basic feeling of power knowing you have something valuable in your body that men desire and the woman can decide who gets to dick them, broadcasting that is an ego thing.
As we can see from dating apps data 90% of women want the 10% of men, this leave quite the percentage of men as the undesirables, 90% even. If you have women who only ever fuck the top 10% of men in a group they can facilitate these toxic messages about manchildren which applies to most men.
dude, you need to stop reading that manosphere horseshit. it was meant to convince 14yos to empty their wallets, it shouldn't be working on adult men.

I like and support men's mental health and value it.

Online is a terrible place and easy to find it being influenced by terrible people. And it's less about being a woman and getting a free pass everywhere and more about sharing the social mind virus that makes you hate other people that lets you in. As long as you hate the Thing To Hate of the Day, you can be allowed in be you male or female.

So I think lots less gender, and more agreement with being mean to groups of people for a dumb political reason.

I think it is important for people to watch the that started OP on his whining fit that men "get no advantage being a man anymore" even if "women are getting r4ped and abused"...
First, notice the opening shot - the gull on top of the tortoise - that is a metaphor for the relationships she singing about in this song - the interdependent relationships where the protagonist (Sabrina Carpenter playing a character in this video) places herself in these relationships, one after another, "hitchhiking" from one bad ride to another (look at the cars, the men, the situations, the protagonists actions) and the song is ironically (more ironically than Alanis Morissette's song) blaming the type of men she is attracted to (and who is attracted to her). Every time she sings "Amen" praising what she just shared with listeners - she follows it up with "Hey men!" meaning she's on to her next hook up.

Read the lyrics. Watch the video. This is what triggered OP and offered as his example of what he thinks is our world today, supposedly filled with misandry.

And just as an addendum, i feel like what you are saying is why people jump on these hate campaigns and online cruelty.

They also want to belong to something, and they just realized if they hate what other people hate, they can be part of that group. You just shift from whatever hate campaign to the next to keep up with you friends.

I don't like to think of this as some political thing, again that's making it about sides.

There are companies and powerful individuals that no exactly what they are doing, movies and tv shows made on this idea of "men bad" and in education, the term male is almost always used as a pejorative.

One of the big things people don't get is they see these men in positions of power, horrible men and they don't even humor the idea that these men may be perfectly willing to demonize and fuck over other men for their own benefit, something often done by specific type of male feminist, the performative type that Harvey Weinstein and Joss Whedon where.

How can you fall for this obvious bait? This is exactly how they separate the weak from the ones who still have a spine. Feminism, empowerment slogans, all this slay culture bullshit are just a filter. They push this stuff out in waves, flood the space with noise, just to see which men get demoralized and which ones still resist. It’s part of a broader system designed to weed out the ones who don’t roll over. We keep pretending like we live in some hyper-civilized modern society with safety nets and equal footing. But the truth is, the same survival mechanics are still running in the background. The same primitive structure still applies: dominate or disappear.

That means taking what’s yours without waiting for some mythical permission. No one’s handing you anything. If you want a seat at the table, you better pull it out yourself and make them deal with your presence. This culture doesn't want strong men, but compliant ones. The type that claps for lies, nods along to garbage, and smiles while being replaced. If you're still praising fake empowerment songs while pretending they don't spit on your very existence, then you’re not just asleep, but also a part of the problem. Don’t praise the fakes. And don’t stop just because it makes the herd uncomfortable.

Saw this old video pop up on my YouTube feed today... how apropos.
I was once 17, too, and thought I knew all the answers. I even thought the following song was about sticking it to our parents and pushing back against their rules...
I was wrong - as were many 17 year-old boys who thought Beastie Boys were singing the anthem of our generation. They were being sarcastic and many of us missed it.

But then I grew older and knew better.
1 Corinthians 13:11 "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me."

this slay culture bullshit
Dude. The music video isn't slay culture. It's about a woman who makes very poor choices in her relationships and blaming the men she chooses. Holy fuck, the Marianas Trench doesn't hold a candle to you.

The rest of your comments in this thread show the signs of a very insecure person who feels the world has overlooked them because they aren't the "best" or "brightest" or "hottest" - but in fact, they are the one who is overlooked themselves and failed at proper introspection at what choices they have made in their own lives which place them where they are at. Everyone has good luck. Everyone has bad luck. Some people get opportunities that others do not get. Some get shafted. The world isn't fair. But what the world does need to be is to meet people equitably so that there isn't a systemic and systematic bias against a person because they aren't a certain race. Or they aren't a certain sex or certain gender. Or they aren't a certain sexuality. Or they aren't a certain religion. Or they weren't born able-bodied. etc etc etc.

Men should not get "advantages." But nor should women.

Like your father would tell you... "Suck it up boy and be a fucking man." (I said both with a note of irony and as a dad who hates whiners).

You completely missed the point, as expected. It’s not just “a woman making poor choices.” It’s dressed-up misandry with a catchy beat, passed off as empowerment. A girl blames men, and walks away like she’s some kind of victim - and the crowd claps. That’s the culture now. You calling it quirky or ironic doesn’t change the fact that when women mess up, it becomes part of their charm. When men do, it’s treated like a character flaw. Instead of engaging with anything I said, you went straight into armchair psychoanalysis. That’s a lazy dodge. I wasn’t crying about my life. I was talking about a wider shift in how male value is constantly undermined. But I can understand that it’s harder to respond to, so you fall back on the usual script: accuse someone of being insecure, project some imaginary life story, and pat yourself on the back like you made a point. You dropped the word “equity” like it's a fix-all, but tell me how it’s equity when masculinity is mocked, male struggles are ignored, and every institution from media to education is rigged to shame men for even speaking up. That’s selective empathy dressed up as progress.

The systems you’re defending don’t want balance, but want ideological submission. Say the right slogans, play the right victim card, or get labeled as a threat. And quoting “be a man” doesn’t make you sound based. It’s ironic you use that line while defending a culture that spits on the very idea of manhood. Back then, being a man came with respect, dignity, and purpose. Now it’s all duty and blame, no honor, and no value. Just shut up, work, and die quietly - that’s the message. Men aren’t asking for advantages, but while they’re being told to shut up and take the hit, women are handed them without question. That’s not balance, but a system that rewards weakness and punishes resilience.

Actually that combined with his use of the word "burgeious" which i only ever see marxists use. I am not wasting my time on this paranoid loser who thinks women will taking over men because some singer made a song making fun of men. Also not to mention cry about it on a porn site no less. And no i think there are people of all ideologies on this site and thats how piracy should be.
Well, that's not nearly as clever or fun. :cautious:

No, you are completely missing the point. It's obvious.
You got triggered by a song.
A song.
A song that says nothing you think it says.

And you're missing the point if you think our culture "spits on the very idea of manhood."

Being a man does come with respect, dignity, and purpose. But you have to live up to those three qualities. You cannot be a dick and demand them. You must earn it. And you must keep earning. Same with being a woman.

You have nothing you are entitled to except to the same things we're all entitled to. No more. No less.

That you are whining about your lack of advantages shows you aren't anything you claim being a man is.

Suck it up, buttercup.

You have a choice: choose not to be a dick.

I have lived on this planet for around a half a century - I am never amazed by the level of shirking responsibility and placing the blame on others when the problem almost always comes from the person they see in the mirror (Oh wait, kind of like what Sabrina is singing about--- AGAIN, read the lyrics. AGAIN, watch the video with a critical eye).

Men are just as, if not worse - they think they can get away with it because they think they are entitled to. Look at the US President when he doesn't get his way. Look at Musk when he gets pushed out. I am no fan of Margaret Thatcher nor Hillary Clinton - but those two women had more composure and strength than quite a few men who have held the same roles in power.

You've raised son(s). Even if they did not exhibit it - you have seen their friends and those who let their emotions run wild and filled with pettiness.

So, I have to highly disagree.

Yea, you have trained the algorithm well.

Naw, I quickly copied and pasted them. Today was the first day I even listened to the song after OP's complaint. She's literally only talking about 1 type of man who the character in her song seems to only attract (and is attracted to). The song isn't talking about all men or a majority of men or even even a significant minority. The song is making fun of the main character and the character's mutual attraction with the male version of the "dumb bimbo" stereotype.
Dumb bimbo male is called a himbo. ;):sneaky::love::devilish::BootyTime:

Oh yeah... Society should remember how tiring it can be to have to train your wife in obedience and to rape her. A really heavy cross to carry...

.

Well, it happen that having a dick is mandatory for anyone who participate in a dick-length contest.

. And it's just one example among others, it wasn't really different in other countries.

See above, there's no clitoris-length contest.

:ROFLMAO:

They weren't the ones to care about the children, whatever their health or their education, to care about the meal, just providing the money and expecting full respect and obedience from their slavewife due to this. Yet, this only apply for upper classes. Middle classes, and even more poor, didn't had the luxury to feed a none working mouth.

Well, men are privileged, and you are actually crying online...

Who mocked, invalidated or had whatever negative reaction to ?
To ?
To ?
To ?
And I could write an encyclopedia with all the example disproving your claim.

You, once again, confused "manchild" with "men", it's a strange habit you have.

, proudly sponsored by SpaceX...
For those who don't get the joke, it decreased by 2,3 points between 2000 and 2021.

And yet, all evidences point to the exact opposite.

And they already hangout. You're the real wingman...
Actually women did participate on your so called "dick measuring contests" infact were more ruthless and brutal. Olga of Kiev, Empress Wu Zetian, and not to mention they did participate in many wars so yes women do grow dicks and you sir have clearly been riding them to label wars as simply dick measuring contest. Is everyone on this site biased and stupid?

Could she handle it? Maybe, but probably not very well. We are way too emotional and petty.
Europe beg to disagree with you.
as president, while until few months ago. Add to this around twenty that were president of their country in the past. And, if you include the lead of the government/prime minister, since not all European countries are actually lead by their president, you easily reach a hundred.

In pretty much every company I've worked for, even woman owned companies, most of the upper execs are usually male. And I'm fine with that too because at some level you want the best to do an action, not a specific gender. If that best person is male or female they tend to get that role.
While I agree with you regarding the fact that capabilities must prevail, the main issue here is that, until recently, women couldn't even dream to have such career. This mean that it's not a question of inherent capabilities, but of lack of available experienced women.
It will need still one (probably two for the USA) decades before there's enough women with both the competence and experience. And still a bit more than two generations before they come at equality with men, because having graduated the same year than them.

So my value is only in so much as I am a baby factory more than a good contributing member of society.
Have you had the chance to be one?

I remember my high school years and how everyone was still acting at those times. I followed a said "scientific" curriculum, and girls were really rare, not because they were dumb or not wanted to be there, but because they were forced on other curriculum, even when they clearly had the capabilities.
My wife ended with a degree after loosing three years trying to escape the dead end she was forced into. My mother got PhD at 35, after starting back her studies as stubborn adult. And France is a relatively liberal country not too much misogynist.
