Unreal Engine Wicked Island [Build 20440670] [RawDarkness]

There has been a new update, it is 0.8.5.3.2, it just hasn't been posted here. The folks that normally supplied the update here, is having some life things going on and doesn't have the time for it right now.
Have you deleted the WickedIsland folder in Appdata\local ?
If you haven't, delete the folder and all of the contents, it will delete your saves and any game settings, but it can fix a lot of issues by nuking that entire folder. Don't try saving your save games, they can have old data that just screws up everything.
Screenshots are saved in that folder as well, so if you want to save them, copy them out before you delete the folder.
If you have already deleted that folder in appdata, deleted the game files and started out 'fresh', I don't know what else to tell you, I haven't had any problems just starting the game or loading saves.
I tend to nuke the appdata folder every time there is a new version, it means a whole lot of grinding out crap again, but trying to load saves or use game settings from previous versions has never worked out.

Maybe???????? There is no guarantee that the next update will fix any of your issues.
I haven't encountered any of the problems you described, the game runs fine for me (other than the pile of bugs in the game). Deleting the game folder and the Appdata folder are the main culprits whenever I have any issue with the game loading or save file issues.
The only other thing I can guess is that you might need to install the prerequisite file for UE. WickedIsland\Windows\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us
If you go to that folder in your game folder, there should be an exe you can run that installs a Microsoft runtime component. If you have already run it, it won't hurt to run it again, just in case there are some damaged Windows files.

I have the same issue, and I've seen someone else mention it on the discord server. I have seen no fixes, and so far the dev has not acknowledged it.
Update: The dev responded to a question about it, says they need to double check the physics since they used a new method, may revert to the old style.
The Steam version is a free demo, entirely different build.

Big fat middle finger to whoever uploaded the split file. I looked up multiple methods of combining the zip files and none of them worked. If you're going to upload in parts, make sure that people can actually recombine those parts after. And do not tell me to extract the RAR files together. That did not work.

You must have done something I didn't. I'm not used to splitfiles so that doesn't help the matter. Mind explaining your process?

when extracting splitfiles. you have to download and keep all the files in the same directory, open the first file. usually only has the file extension .zip. the rest has .001, .002, .003, etc. if you have all required files, and none of them are corrupted. it should extract exactly the same way as a single compressed file would do
