Wait...waiit... fuck, I thought you were just eliding on the islands and calling that mini-peninsula (guarded by the nightmare) an island. So there's another weiner Island I missed? I have found the weiner island with the Draco lad and the punisher (and of course the nightmare mini-peninsula w the disgrace spear staff) - where's the island I missed? I was sure I had gone around the whole damn shoreline....
If you follow the shoreline south after the location with the chest guarded by a Drake it eventually goes into a cove. But if you notice there are some small islands out there in the cove. You should be able to see one with a small boat on it. The chest is there and not guarded by anything.

The problem of bodies disappearing during the game is one problem. The lack of tentacles, for example, would have been a great solution. The game is buggy. Sometimes I don't know what to do. And when I try to provoke the Archdemon, which defeats me, a minigame starts with the options to run, surrender, or die. When he maintains the surrender level, this idiot, instead of raping, just walks around. Is he the Archdemon or the Archidiot? He's not the only one. When I build, there are clearly many missing options, such as windows. And a storm has broken out. There are no doors. When I built a castle around the town, he doesn't interact with the inhabitants at all. The farmer tells a bitter story about his sister. But can he be helped? The animals run away. I think I bought this game too early.

The lewd content is what sets this game apart from Conan Exiles, otherwise you'd just get an inferior copy of something that already exists. That being said, I do agree that there needs to be systems in place that incentivize the breeding and monster catching aspect of this game. As is stands there are only 3 items that make use of the breeding mechanics: the nursery, breeding post, and milking station.

Don't even get me started on the building mechanics...
Mad Island kinda has what this game lacks in that regard. Now don't get me wrong, the whopping total of two devs that are working on Mad Island have a tendency to focus on the "wrong" things, too (such as most of the unique female followers being basically the same as each other), but at least there's a somewhat coherent story to follow and a fuckton of base-building mechanics. I like both this game and that one, but I gotta give the cake to Mad Island.

Change your resolution. If you can't hit your settings button you can go into the GameUesrSettings.ini file located in the save directory found typically in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\WickedIsland\Saved\Config\Windows

Its the cave in the forest near the western edge of the desert where you find Morvayne? idr how to spell her name. The one that was tortured by the Archdemon and she gives you the quest that gives you the Hellfire Visage. There is also a card on the alter.
Had this exact problem just three days ago, and figured out how to solve it. Tried changing the resolution to fix another problem I can't seem to figure out how to fix, that being the fact that I frequently find my mouse inputs not responding because I'm apparently clicking out of the game screen despite having it in fullscreen. Thought changing the resolution might fix that.

I believe you can also press alt+enter to toggle between full screen and windowed mode. Also, there are two different full screen modes in most games. One is full screen and the other is windowed full screen. I think windowed full screen is just so you can move your mouse off screen but still have the full screen which might be part of the problem with this game, not sure I always use full screen.

Hello Jeevant,

I've noticed a major issue with this game's movement controls. When I tap the A, W, S, or D keys just once, the character moves 1-2 meters, which feels excessive.

Also, during quick movements, the character's body parts - legs, boobs, and head - become severely deformed, as if gravity is pulling them too hard. It looks quite unnatural.

Could you please limit these physics effects? Currently, the body part deformation seems to scale from 0 to 200% - could you reduce this to around 20%? I'm referring to the exaggerated bending and stretching of body parts during movement.

Hope you understand what I mean about toning down the physics-based body deformation.

Patch versions and Patch Notes:

Wicked Island — First Major Update: The Builder

This marks the first major update since Wicked Island launched, and it’s a massive one.
The entire building system has been rebuilt from the ground up, introducing brand-new wood and stone build sets, improved snapping, reduced grind, and dozens of new decorative pieces to truly make your shelter your own.

You’ll also find sharper visuals, heavier and more responsive combat, and rebalanced enemy scaling across the island.
Performance scaling has been improved, a new enemy type has been added, and the world feels more alive than ever.

Important: This update fundamentally replaces the old building system.
All old builds and save structures are incompatible and will not survive this update.
If you have an older save with bases, they will appear broken — character save data should still work fine, however.

-----------------------

Highlights

Massive Building Overhaul: Complete replacement of all old build pieces with new wood and stone sets.

Dozens of New Decorations: Statues, clutter, paintings, wall decor, and improved furniture.

Combat Improvements: More weight to attacks, faster dodges, and enemies that don’t track mid-swing.

New Enemy & Resource: The Weavemother lurks in caves, weaving silk — a new crafting material (preparing for future armor updates).

Sharper Visuals: Improved lighting, shaders, and more detailed backlighting for characters.

Quality of Life: Camera shake toggle, message history log, smoother NPC navigation, and smarter autosaves.

Well...
Sh1111eeettt.
There it goes my shaft.
Steam version really likes to pump updates frequently.
bugger.... not surprised though.
I guess before updating I better take note of my invetory so I can cheat it back. Will have to rebuild my lair, but was expecting that.

ah fuck, Steam updates the thing on start-up. Fuck.

Thanks again m8! Do you know if its stable and not overly buggy? The devs track record would indicate that there may be a legion of bugs along with broken mechanics, but I've been waiting for this new build system and I'm quite eager to try it out anyway.

Update has some quirks and might have more later, not sure. Most of my tattoos from all my presets were janked had to be removed and reapplied. The refresh feature didn't work and it didn't work when it was added a few builds ago either so not sure it ever worked. All my face tattoos were fine and a hand tattoo was also fine. But the rest caused nearly my entire body to be covered in a tattoo and you won't notice until you start a game, meaning it looks fine in character creator, but you'll be going back to main menu as soon as you start a game to get rid of the tattoos causing the issue. If you don't use tattoos or if you create a character with tattoos from scratch then this isn't an issue.

Also, all the Ogres and Trolls are invisible again. Last time this happened their faces were still visible, but this time only their weapon is visible and I'm not sure that's even true for the Trolls as I can't recall seeing a bow floating around.

Edit: Nevermind about the invisible Ogres and Trolls. I guess I was bugged or something, but I found them again and they are perfectly normal.

And the building update is really nice. Just what I was hoping for. Now I'm having issues keeping up with material demands.

I made sure that there is a checker for this exact same reason. To dummy proof it.

2 Possible Reasons:
1) You are on the incorrect version and need to get the base 20424231 (16 OCT 25) version.
2) You are selecting the incorrect folder. You should select: C:/wherever this is at/Wicked Island CSF 20424231/Wicked Island
- Obviously does not have to be in the C drive, this is just an example, can be on any drive letter. The key is the Wicked Island folder.

If you are doing this correctly, than I am unsure what you need. I just tested and it works and it definitely patched my 20424231 build.

This means you are missing a dependency on your machine. I have included the dependencies in the SteamDepot folder (everything in this folder comes from steam except for the SteamDB Info image and url). This folder includes the appmanifest which can be opened with notepad, manifest for hash checking the files.

Head into the SharedDepots folder from there, here you will find a Visual C++ 2022 redistributable and a DirectX June 2010 redistributable. You want to head to the DirectX June 2010 redistributable. XAudio 2.7 is a component of DirectX and it handles audio in older games and applications. Go into the DirectX Folder and Run the DXSETUP.exe to install DirectX June 2010. This will install the necessary legacy DirectX files, including XAudio2.7.dll. After install, restart your computer. Alternatively, if you don't trust the redistributable I have put in there which comes directly from Steam, you may go to the Microsoft official site to obtain and run it:

Run the game to verify or head to C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and you will find a XAudio2_7.dll in there.

Yep, the build you recently posted. The only thing I can think of that I didn't do was delete config files from the save directory. Other than that everything from last build was deleted and the patch was applied to the new build.
Its probably fine anyway. I'm enjoying the new build system and only issue I've had is falling through the floor in Maidens Las Rest a couple times. If its a hotfix it must be bad enough that some people can't play at all or have serious issues when they do.

Edit: I just tried it again for shits and it worked this time no flaws. My rig is old and my CPU is failing but still can play some games so anything is possible I guess. Thanks m8

Thanks. You clearly know about this. Before installing the redistributable, I tried starting with a fresh unplayed version and applied the patch. It worked without a problem. I previously applied the patch after copying it to the game folder instead of navigating to the game from the patch's own folder. Anyway, do I need to start over or can I use a save from 20424231 build? TIA.
