That's a mystery. People suspect the company was trying to dodge some legal trouble. Because the company formerly known as Illusion announced its closure and promptly closed, Illusion is legally dead. However IllGames release of HoneyCome is essentially Honey Select in Koikatsu style, so in a sense Illusion is not completely dead. Although legally they are and that little shell studio might not do much before it goes "poof" as well.

Although since this is a thread for Wicked Island I'd just like to say I played it for one evening, experienced everlasting night darkness, got a quest from a witch to mate with werewolves and didn't see the quest progress at all. Character design before the game starts is weirdly buggy with the character constantly rotating once first rotated, and saved templates don't save every slider change which is an annoying chore to fix. I was effectively immoral at around level 5 because once you invest almost all your points in max health and health regen evenly enemies can't reasonably kill you if you put up a decent fight.

I did get a tip from this thread that said if I wanted to mate with an enemy weaker than me I beat it into submission then masturbate in front of it and it... should do something. I suspect I tried that already and didn't see a result. I did see enemies walk towards my character without attacking sometimes though.

Ok so, here are my tips :

-everlasting night : idk what to do, time is frozen to me as well, so I resort to the timer in cheat menu
-quests : delete the [save name]_Narrative.sav in DISK:\Users\username\AppData\Local\WickedIsland\Saved\SaveGames . It will reset all your quests. Though I'm not sure it'll unstuck the witch quest as I never got it to work either
-character template : you have to load the desired template several times for the sliders to load properly. IIt's crap, but it work in the end
-mate without kill : just approach the target monster, not too close but just enough for your compass to turn red, and then use the masturbation. NORMALLY, the monster should be attracted and start a sex scene. But it's also janky and may or may work as intended... (that work with enemies of higher level than you, tho)

In general, my advice is to start each update with a clean save (so basically, delete everything in the AppData\SaveGames folder)

I did see actual wolf animals, actual bears and werebears, and there were some deer. I do not know if those are sexable, as my game bugged so early I didn't get to see much except fighting enemies that were easy for me.

I also ran into bears and dogs, but nothing happened. Only werewolves have the option to have sex.

Your complaint is valid, but it is sadly the general trend of gaming.

But don't be too sad about not being able to try it. At the time, it's an hot mess, enormously bugged and in the end not really interesting.
I keep backing the dev because I do think the idea and concept is good (and to leak it because YARRRRRR), but the dev still need to put a lot of work into it, and do something regarding bug squashing.

That could have been also something on my end a setting or a sorts, but pressing num 8 didn't make anything cum when I had sex with anything. Though most of the sex actions I got were also by masturbating and seducing the monsters nearby, so not from the battles.

Levels matter a lot, you get quite a bit of health from investing in the respective stat and you start with no armor. I mean the game isn't in good shape right now but you very quickly outpace the mobs around you as you level. Also, unless there's some monsters I missed most enemies can be easily dispatched without taking a hit just by baiting them into their attack animation and taking pot shots with the spear 1 2 combo. It's not really worth the space anyway, in my opinion, not unless you really like seeing horse and dog cocks on monsters which I could take or leave if the animations were better.

PROGRESS, does not always mean an update with finished mechanics, or working stations, it just means, "Here is what we have now. This is the direction we want to go." and you can either like it or hate it.

I personally think this company releasing new stuff even with all the bugs is great, they're not telling you "oh we did this, and this, and this is going to be possible, and u can do this next update" and then disappointing you by saying "yea, we said this would happen in this update but we didn't get it finished on time"

What they are doing is, "here is what we have so far, here is the issues we are working on now."

I personally do not at all mind seeing the game in a broken state like this, because I can look forward to what it will be like when its finished.

Stop complaining all the time and just enjoy the unfiltered process.

Its annoying that everytime you respawn , all discovered places need to be re-discovered. Also... how do you make charcoal , wasn it when you burt wood in the fireplace... more info for such things should be implemented/ Yes combat is still really bad, maybe some time in the future it will be updated. Dude there are major Core bugs in the game that have bin there since the 1st release.... and hes adding more and more "content"/ bugs ontop of that switcing game engines and with out fixing major problems....You cant build a game on Core Game bugs......

You do realise like 90% of these games get abandoned right? you can wait and be optimistic till the cows come home but the chances are this will never be anything other than a broken buggy mess. Even iff it doesnt get abandoned this will probably be like other "big" porn game projects and get content so unbelivably slow that you will just give upon it ever beeing a decent game like many many others:

look at Wildlife, Breeders of the Nephelym , Project Fallen Doll, Carnal Instict etc etc (and those have multiple devs working on the game).... yet they are in development hell for 7-8 years now with almost no gameplay or content with very low probability of ever becoming something other than a buggy pre alpha tech demo...

But i also wish that it gets finished or mostly finised but there has NEVER bin a large scale porn game that EVER got finised so far, so im realistic here not optimistic...

By the way whats enjoyable about game that is so bugged you cant play it with out it locking crashing or bugging out every 3 minutes?
Id rather play the game with low content ugly graphics but STABLE with a functioning gameplay loop in it...

You both have valid points. Although compared to other 3d h-games here, this one tends to be more broken and buggy than others and having major bugs that are soft locks that keep happening release after release doesn't look or feel good from a players and investors perspective. Hell, questing was supposed to be fixed this release. Its literally worse and you cant even converse with the fisherman now.

Basically a game over until you reload... i would say that sounds cool but lets give the dev no more additions. Dev should just bug fix the shit out of the game

you know, I remember that the version before the dev decided that there was enough content to go for a paid version only actually worked far better, with less placeholders, game systems that actually worked and felt decent enough to play
