I've not seen that ever happen to me. You check it to make sure it is still on never? Some settings revert to default for some reason, although default for me is never.
You have been lucky if you have never had that happen to you. It isn't a big deal, it just annoys me to see extra save files show up in my list of saves. I always set the auto save to never, but I will still get an auto save file at random times. And I do mean random. I could play for a few days and everything is normal, then next time I play for a bit, I will get an auto save file stuck in the save list.

I could fire the game up, craft some junk, get plowed by a few random monsters, quit the game and every thing plays nice, next time I fire the game up, same process with the addition of entering a dungeon or two and I get a pile of quick save files and occasionally the game will slip an auto save in there as well.

The only thing I can think of is that the game is auto saving whenever I enter a dungeon (or just start the game to check/test something) and then quit back to the main menu or just exit the game.

Dunno what's going on and it isn't a big deal and isn't crashing the game or anything like that, it is just an annoying little thing that randomly happens.

That is interesting. I do get autosaves from rezoning in and out of dungeons or the tower and also from exiting the game. But I haven't ever had the random save freeze while playing normally. I guess I should be thankful that hasn't happened. I wipe all saves except my character saves frequently because it seems it helps reduce the saving/freezing time. It starts to get long the more they build up it seems.

10gb no pixeldrain, the only working dl option is uploadheaven - 15 hours. really?
No idea about the links, but there are loads of people in discord that don't know about this site and they are still playing the demo. You can dl the demo free.

I've noticed that even if I set autosaves to 'never' (or "newer" because there's a typo), it still autosaves anyways sometimes. What's the point of setting autosaves to 'never' if it means there will still be autosaves! :LUL:
HA- I never thought the autosave "newer" was a typo, it's my setting and have always been puzzled

I have this happen, certain actions seem to trigger no matter what and occasionally a get an autosave with weird no-date (something like 1900 or whatever, can't recall specifically but obvious date error)

Anyone else have constantly broken armor textures? Anything beyond cloth is a mess of black and broken textures for me. And even the body physics get wonky after equipping them. Really takes the enjoyment out of crafting new stuff...

I have the same problem. To fix this, I enter a dungeon (with loading scren) and the textures return to normal.

I have had that issue on a semi regular basis while playing the game. I have had body parts clipping through the armor as well or the armor just not appearing correctly when you equip it, but it doesn't really affect the game play, it just looks weird.

It is as if the game is only refreshing the armor skin when you exit and restart the game or, as ISven said, entering a dungeon.

Yeah, AFAIK the game uses only the texture first armor equipped after a load. If you change equipment, it still uses the older equipment textures until the game loads via an area transition or loading a save.

Only took you 14 times to realize that? The issue is the summoners get confused with others in your inventory and instead of putting it away it summons another. Pretty sure you can just kill them to get rid of them.
well before it let me unsummon them if i double clicked and after it got fun and i thought what if a had a hoard

Fair enough. There was a time when the nursery would produce a summoner that always spawned a Troll no matter kinda baby you started with. And that Troll would never despawn it just kept spawning more Trolls. I took it to the demon dungeon and created a horde inside to clear out the majority of hostiles for me. They pretty much suck but 100 of them would eventually kill stuff although that was mostly each other.

If your having trouble de-spawning slaves you can also go into settings and toggle their setting to take damage from you and simply kill them yourself or try putting them in a storage box sometimes this will also de-spawn them.

This game is absolutely amazing! Solid 5 with a small minus for performance optimization.
This game is actually not badly optimized for a UE game. Most UE games on this site are worse, some are much worse. From what I understand devs don't have very much control with optimization themselves.

Completely agree, I found eventually the way to run the game smoothly, just needed to add -dx11 in shortcut.
30 fps on Epic settings on notebook with 1650.
This is approximately the same as I have in The First Descendant.

I never tried forcing dx11 in this game. I just assumed it wouldn't support it. Plus I can't get lens flares to turn off. I uncheck the box and save settings, but go back in and its checked again. I think older revisions had other things I couldn't turn off so might just be the settings file, but last time I tried messing with that my character went invisible so I haven't messed with it since.
