It's not abandoned. The site operates under a particular definition of Abandoned, like, "If the game hasn't been updated in X months, we'll call it abandoned." But this game doesn't get updated like other games do, for two particular reasons:
1. The game developer earns no money from it. It's not his full-time job or even part-time. It's a passion project for him. If it were a source of income we'd expect him to prioritize it, but it's just something he does from love of story, coding, and intelligent porn.
2. The game updates contain a mind-boggling number of meaningful choices. An update may take 30 mins to play through the first time, but if you make even one choice differently, you may encounter an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT 30-minute experience. And then play it again, make a different choice, see dozens of scenes you didn't see on your first playthroughs.... etc. I'd say each update typically contains about 10 hours of playing experience, if you aim for all of it.
So, in short, the developer is still actively developing the game, but it's a slow process. I'd bet we'll have a new update -- the Elsa rewrite/upgrade/expansion -- before January.

Following the rules of the site, it has been marked abandoned. I'm not complaining about the tag, since those are the rules.
I'm clarifying for the dude who posted he was sad it's been abandoned. Because it hasn't been abandoned in that sense.

There is femdom content in Chelsea’s path, it’s just not Chelsea who’s doing it. If during Lauren’s training, you bring in Psycho Lee to domme Lauren, and if you have Chelsea living with you, Psycho Lee will request to domme Chelsea, and you will then be able to arrange femdom scenes with Psycho Lee (Lorelei Lee).

The whiners are going to complain it has no new content, because it's gone back and massively deepened and expanded the depth of a character arc. Ten to 20 hours of gameplay, they will dismiss as minor tweaks. Despite the developer making the game for free and literally giving it away.
Intriguingly, a different bunch of whiners is complaining in the WMV thread, because that game's dev introduces 28 new female characters in every update and never gives anyone room to have a meaningful interaction. Literally the opposite of this. "In this new update, the character tries to tie his shoelaces, but has to stop while 33 different characters whose names we don't even remember come and ask to have sex with him. Next update: will his shoes get tied?"
I prefer WifeTrainer's approach.
