I really can't play a game like this, what is the point in having any "options" whatsoever?
the story could continue as normal regardless of what you choose
Just whine for the sake of whining...smh. You either want choices or you don't want them, decide. While I agree there should probably be less of the "Give up / Don't" choices, ultimately they serve a purpose too. It's to show you how the MC feels and how depressed he is about his injury and situation, that he is always questioning himself. As far as I remember, the rest of the bad endings are pretty self explanatory, I mean..you can't slap a student as a couch and expect "the story should continue as normal"...And that bad ending is there for a purpose too: it's to prepare you for how the story will unfold, where you will have to be calmer, be ready to compromise (in other to convince the girls to rejoin the team) and work on yourself, or you can fail. It's that simple. Are we so far gone that a choice that leads to a game end will prompt us to go to a forum and whine about it ? What will you do when u die or fail an objective in another game, then have to reload a save to continue playing ? go to a forum and ask the devs to make you immortal ?

You're probably just whining for attention and I fell for it like a fool. It just feels like such a minor thing to try to whine about, that it pissed me off.

One of ONLY two options given giving a black screen Game Over isn't me "whining"... and this happens multiple times, smh.

If choices are given then it's not unreasonable to expect them to be... y'know, actual choices!

As for the dev being a poor poor amateur where having two story arcs is wow way too much expectation, give me a freaking break!!! There are developers out there who create great games and they're one man bands too, it's such a copout to say that it's too much workload for one person.

The level of snarkiness and seething that I've encountered so far in this forum is absolutely incredible. It's no wonder that the MC is so popular a character here.

well, this game is a 0.1.1, who knows if the dev wants to add some more content later on? i am impressed with what they have accomplished so far and am very much looking forward to future updates.

I'm not demanding (2) multiple sweeping story paths, the story could continue as normal regardless of what you choose, (Like the Tea/Coffee thing) It'd just be nice for one of the two options not to be a "Ha ha, Game Over!" black screen to the title screen.
I feel like this is a bit weird. If you say that the story could continue as normal regardless of what you choose, then what is the point of the choice? In essence, you're now saying that you don't want Game Over option, but prefer both options that play out the same way. That's pointless.

While I can understand that Game Over option is not ideal in general, I'm willing to accept it for this game because such option showed up only during critical moments where MC was mentally conflicted and unsure what step he wanted to take. One option is to continue on with the struggle, one option is to give up. It makes sense that the giving up option leading to Game Over.

I agree with you that it'd be great if there's an option where MC "came back", but as I mentioned before, I don't expect that kind of depth from an amateur dev with limited budget. That's the kind of depth I expect from experienced devs with more budget.

I was just thinking that maybe he could make a mistake, like in the office, tell the guy to fuck off due to the unreasonable terms. He'll then go to the campus canteen or whatever and hear the basketball girls talking smack about volleyball and say that it should just disband, that black chick could also try to recruit the volleyball girls to the basketball team. Of course this would get MC heated and he'd go back to the office with new found motivation... or something like that.

The slap didn't need to be a slap to be honest, it could've been a heated verbal exchange which would lead to further possible interesting interactions.

The fact that it just goes to a game over and back to the title screen sucks ASS and makes me think that it'd just be better as a kinetic novel. It's worse when one of the two options back-to-back takes you back to the start screen, it's incredibly annoying.

I would like interesting scenarios and dialogue to occur, I just said that it could possibly continue as normal regardless of what you choose because that's lowest common denominator for the people arguing against me on the subject of a black game over screen and a return to the start menu. I'll say again, I would appreciate interesting scenarios and dialogue to occur!

I don't remember where I saw it but the dev said that those bad end choices serve not as part of branching (too early to branch at chapter 1 anyway, it's basically an introduction) but as part of narrative, to create a certain atmosphere. And those "bad end or story continues" type of choices will be only the part of chapter 1

I wrote the main character this way to show you his lowest point in life, how much of a flawed individual he really is, and how he changes throughout the game. I understand how some people would be turned off by it especially in the beginning, and I wouldn't blame them if they closed the game there. But to those that pushed through reading those hard to read bits, I wanted to make sure that you felt rewarded that you did. There will be no more bad endings after chapter 1 (Aside from joke ones maybe...)

This is a prime example of how making story is not as easy as it sounds. In both examples above, what you're doing is downgrading the impact of the action. Dev chose to have "Game Over" as consequence to show the importance of the action taken by MC. What you wanted is instead to downgrade those so the story can continue on with no consequence.

Telling the dean to fuck off, then MC calm down, and somehow you think it's just going to be ok because the MC found new motivation? That's not good storytelling at all.

The slap could've been a heated verbal exchange? It was ALREADY a heated verbal exchange, the slap was the escalation from the heated verbal exchange.

I'll say again, I would appreciate interesting scenarios and dialogue to occur!
It doesn't matter what you want, the game already lost you anyway.

What's going on with the hair situation? They all look like my e-machine GPU from 2001.

Just a quick heads up, I need to say that since we did a complete overhaul of the UI, I'm sad to say that previous saves will not work from 0.1 will not work. I recommend starting over a new save. Better to do this early than later on but I apologize in advance.

And a message to my paying supporters, You all are the real MVPs here. I apologize if it took this long to release an update especially since it's still at 0.1. I could have cut this update in half to give you an update sooner, and it might have benefited me more that way. But I feel like it won't be as emotionally impactful if I released it that way. I'm really just a guy that wants to give you the best experience possible. You guys are the first people to believe in this project, so once again, I just want to say thank you.

And one thing for sure is, I am excited for you all to read it. I'm very happy on how it turned out, and I hope you all enjoy it just as I did making it :) .

I hope you all had an amazing weekend, and cheers to the holidays!

Thank you!

Discovered this a couple of days ago, and to be fair, I can't wait for the next update to drop off. It have a lot of potential and despite graphics taking a bit to get used to (on what I assume is a stylistic choice), I love the story so far and there is quite a lot of content in it already. Is rare to see games release with this much content for a first release. MC might sound like a big dingus, but it was imo well explained in the story why he is like this. Good luck in the future and thanks for a good game.

Very good VN so far.
The title is very fitting indeed
Visuals are very good and the story is quite interesting and nice.
MC is good and i can see the character development and the strugle even in 1 chapter.
The LI are beautiful ,unique and yea wild cats.
Thankfully is Harem because the choice are many... though personally im gonna go for sure for Eve and Zoe.
and perhaps Lexi and Saki.
Moreover i don't see any lesbian tag and i personally liked that (i hope though if there is in the future to be optional)
Nonetheless i believe its very promising and personally i enjoyed it a lot.
Highly recommended and i cant wait for the next chapter.

v0.2 is currently the one I'm most hyped for. Either going to end the year super beautifully, or start the new year amazingly.
