To anyone that hopped the fuck out at the cooking """mini-game""" (seriously, how do you make a "match x" mini-game unintuitive and slow; the lack of those qualities is usually the reason they're tolerated or even good elsewhere), you can use Universal RenPy Mod to flip a variable called " persistent.kitchen_minigame_done " to true and it seems to skip it, even on reload.
About your second spoiler, at least the characters kept saying how it makes no sense, which is good lampshading. It made things a lot more bearable for me, otherwise I would have been upset at reading that nonsense.
If everything is new why the hell you need to parasitize on fame of original game? Create new name and good luck, but no... Don't understand that logic.
First impressions: Good renders, interesting characters and designs so far. Nice inoffensive music
I could do without the free roam and interactive elements but that's personal preference. There's also a bit too much internal dialogue for my liking so I'm just kind of mashing through it to get to actual conversations. I don't like the single choice dialogue options either. They seem pointless other than making me move the mouse to the middle of the screen
The dev needs someone standing next to them who'll smack their hand every time they try to add transitional cuts into normal conversations. They're generally only used to bridge the transition between two different scenes.
Jill's intro makes her seem like such a bitch that I went back and changed my flower choice. I know she's meant to be over protective but the MC passes out and gets amnesia and all she cares about is how it reflects on her, giving him shit, and getting pissy over a hug? Then she just takes him home and leaves him there alone, This person who remembers nothing. How about some basic human empathy?
Either the game version is a lie or there's a whole lot of tags missing.
And the preview images are useless which makes me think it's the first case and there's actually no(t much) content yet.
Been keeping up with this one, its a personal thing and know it has some flaws but I actually do enjoy it personally. Hopefully to keep seeing more consistent updates
In mho the original was way superior this feels like a step backwords not forwards with all the added sandbox/point and click mini games that just distract you from the story
Saying that I was you luck with it but I won't continue with this rework/remaster whatever you want to call it
