VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Wings of Silicon [Ch. 12] [SinAppeal]

Boring story and shit characters... The MC is dumb as a rock... All the other characters are the token cliche characters you can find literally in any type of porn you can think of... And for some reason every girl looks the same with the only differences being age and hair colour... Oh and the dialogue just wants to make you kill yourself... The setting and story is shit and frankly it you'd like to fap there are much better VNs out there cause even the visuals are not something to write home about.

Wings of Silicon is up there at the top of my list of AVNs.

The story fairly straightforward, you're a guy who's living his life and building relationships with the women in the game. This allows the game to focus on the characters themselves and the relationships between them. One day you get a knock on your apartment door and meet Mia, who is moving in with her aunt Rachel. These two are essentially your two paths in the game. You're not cut off from any of the girls at this point but being on Rachel's path gives you more of her content, and vice versa with Mia.

Some other women include the flirty delivery girl Kinsey, Rachel's friend Carmine and her daughter Tiana, and Ash, someone from your past who works with Rachel. They're all beauties and you can't go wrong no matter which route you choose.

The two main paths can be single girl paths or they can be non traditional harem, the extent of which is still a mystery. If you want to play a more down to earth, character focused game with great love interests, then Wings of Silicon is the game for you.

At the beginning of the game, you might feel bored due to too much self thinking of the protagonist and some other useless mention of protagonist living environment. The story only get better from chapter 2 when the protagonist start interacting with the women. You will start to discover their unique personality like innocent Mia , confident Rachel and slutty Kinsey

Renders are appealing, all characters look different and have their own physical traits.

The game also pack with a good selection of music and proper sound effect which really enhance the game play.

Game also feature with hint and also the ability to rename Mia and Rachel.

Choice can be improve by remove unnecessary single choice like "Get Up" or "Grab your mug".

I loved the game, first of all talking about story it was quite refreshing and new, the renders where off the charts for my expectations and I feel like the developer has invested a lot of time in them.Other part which I liked was Sound and Music developer made a good choice in choosing them.And Lastly the game is packed with content so u will not be disappointed.On that note my well wishes to Developer(SinAppeal) for the future releases.This was the review of version(0.04).

Rachel, what a badass she is!
She is clear on what she wants, and even she takes whatever she wants! I really like her character, my opinion maybe diff from others but it doesn't matter!
I played till ch4 and overall it was a good piece of work, still it has scope of improvement and I know that dev will focus on it!
Umm... yeah I feel bad for Tiara, but im keepin my fingers crossed hoping everything will be redeemed in upcoming updates.
Renders are of really good quality and poses are perfect too in ch4, also i really like detailing of animations and that animation controller.
seeing some negative points I agree to them partially but knowing the fact that some guys are just there for criticism don't bother me much!
still I hope future updates won't prove me wrong
and yea, they have good choice of bg music! and proper sfx placement
Character dev of MC is ongoing and im glad that im part of this!
Overall, i'll suggest to new guys to try out this game!

Wings of Silicon...this title summarize my feeling toward the game : Nothing natural in it. The flashy colors, the boring writing, the looooong and uninteresting situations, choices that are not really choices for most of them and characters that are more annoying than anything else....except maybe for Mia and the delivery girl. Even if they are based on the same model with some variations.

MC is such a wimp...

Renders are nice but reminds me of that song "I'm a Barbie girl....la la la lala".

A very nice game with high quality renders (the girls are all pretty) a good amount of content with frequents updates.
The story itself is pretty basic but decent, no ridiculous super-powers or magic bullshits, just a nerd seducing good looking girls

=> Renders - 9/10

=> Gameplay and Quality - 9/10

=> Animations - 6/10

Final Thoughts

This game grinds my gears

Sure I can be one of those people complaining about the self-inserting the dev does and how much these ramblings come across as sour grapes but this will be the only instance coz this game has more serious problems than this.

My main problem is the MC. Seriously he's a man child. The virgin tag must be for him because I've never seen an adult man get so worked up talking a woman before. He stutters like a 12 year old talking to his crush all the time. Most of the dialogue consists of "umm...whaa...I mean...yes..." and such. Porky Pig can deliver a sentence better than this guy. Reading his dialogue is annoying because he comes across as immature. It also shifts from dialogue to monologue so often that it's distracting. Sometimes he even stutters in his thoughts...how the fuck?

Now another issue with this is femdom. Now I don't mind a dominant female but balance is key. Talking down to me or being patronizing is a no go especially if you can't do anything about it.

This game has a lot of single choices that frankly exist for no reason other than making the player feel like you're doing something in between reading dialogue. It's the equivalent of the Netflix "are you still watching?" feature. Choices are a pet peeve for me. If choices ring hollow then it might as well be a kinetic novel and it feels exactly like that because there's a lot of times when there's 2 choices but 1 leads to a game over...what is the point? To piss people off? Well it works.

Characters are kinda OK. It's the first time I came across 2 bitchy older woman who deserve a spanking but seeing as the MC has no backbone, I can see why they upset many people because it feels you will have no control of the situation but we'll see what the future holds. The younger love interests also seem more mature than the MC which is kinda off-putting considering he's a grown man.

Let's see where this game goes because honestly I want to drop it. This feels like a bad copy of a previous well received game but it diverges a bit so I'll cut it some slack. It gets a generous 2 stars for now because Tiara is one of the hottest girls I've seen in a game so far.

Just finish Wings Of Silicon.

Nice game, decent story, good renders, nice girls, until the chapter 4 came.
In chapter 4 the player just goes for the ride, MC is forced to go shopping, not allowed to pay and being treated like a piece of meat openly. Then the two despicable milfs change their crosshairs to the daughter of the shop owner and literally force her into wear bikinis for their amusement. There's no humor, english errors are common, I chose Carmine suit but the MC ask sorry for not choosing it. Relationships tab doesn't open.
I turned down Rachel in every choice I had and I have to spend an ENTIRE update dealing with her shit.

Overall good game:
The game has been around since April. 3 episodes so far. The fourth one is planned. Dev has done a lot of work here and is very diligent.
The renders and the art are very beautiful. Almost all the women are extremely hot and you want to get laid with each one.
I enjoy the details and the animations as well.
The support and dedication from the dev pleases me. He is very close to his fans. A fact that I consider to be very important.
As for the cons, I agree with the opinion of some previous speakers.
The MC sometimes has a few cringe moments. He sometimes seems like an autist. But I think the dev does this on purpose so that there will be real character development. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
The game has no sound effects. This is disturbing and should also be fixed. Such awesome pictures also need a nice musical accompaniment.
I give a clear recommendation for the game and see great potential and I hope the dev convinces us all.

Really a good game to play on free time , short story but worth the time , nice renders. I didnt got any scenes but that doesnt matter cause many dont like scenes at very start of the game, Idk if it was a bug but whenever click with my mouse on the right screen it goes in a loop , it repeats the same thing for a while,i hope it will be fixed soon , btw the girls are amazing , i like Rachel even i like the Name i love to play those game where Rachel named lady is a milf.

Okay. I just finished playing this game: Wings Of Silicon.

The game was very interesting to me. It was mind-blowing. This VN was really awesome. Nice work at the beginning of the game. What a complete package. You have warning sign, and nice introduction animation.

The story was really great and unique. The renders? I'll rate it a 10/10. What a beautiful renders out there. I can see that the dev truly made an effort to the concept of characters. What a details! Such a Beauty.

The environments are captivating and amazing.

The animation is so smooth.

Great work for the dev and to the team, you made an excellent game.

I think this game could be way, way better, depending on how the writing and characterization improves.
For now, even though I like the look of the ladies and the MC in general, I can't really give it more than three stars for several reasons.

1. This is more of a technical thing. I loathe unnecessary one click choices, and sadly this game already has tons of them in just two updates.
They completely break the game flow and feel like a forced attempt to make a VN seem more interactive than it, or the genre in general, really is.
That goes for having to click on one specific item as well. At least when it's only one possible item and so obviously unnecessary, that it is just annoying.
2. There are a few too many errors in the game to not take away a bit of its qualities. An editor or at least dedicated spellchecking can usually solve this, it's not like the English in itself is horrible or constantly wrong.
3. The girls are just a little bit too much into the MC. It's fine to like someone, even feel attracted to him, but damn, why would Rachel go and give him a handjob the second time they meet?
Why does none of the girls seem to mind, the MC groping them? FFS, show me one normal woman who would allow people who are practically strangers to just do that, without saying anything?
Again, I have no problem with all three ladies being interested in the MC, and also not with women being proactive, but at least give it a bit of a believable approach.
As it is, there is simply no reason why all the girls should be so smitten with the MC. Mia has the best reason, but she is the one who acts the least like a hungry slut. It just doesn't make sense.

I understand wanting to get to the good stuff fast, but do it too fast, and it just seems wrong and OTT.

Here's where I removed a bit of my original review and added something new.

The flaws I mentioned aren't really being worked on, this is just how this game will be and as such that makes it bad, therefore my rating goes from a three for an average game, down to a two stars game which isn't complete crap, but which simply isn't good.
I won't play this one again.

This is my first review.

I am writing this after having played th game about 5 times on chapter 2 part 2.

I started this game because I read about it on a post and the story intrigued me.
Upon playing it the first time there were a few things I didn't like, but once I mentioned them to Sin he changed some things. They are no longer in the game (most of them).
What people want from a game differs and this game is really good on:
- Renders are beautiful
- Characters make sense and their personality fits their actions
- Language/Writing is mostly correct and gets corrected when mentioned
There is a ton more stuff about this game that is good even though it's just at its start but I didn't want to manage them up there because to me it seems they are subjective and not obective.
So here is what I like about the game:
-Mia's looks and character
-The "unique" MC (basically we play as Sin, a game developer and find out what that side of the life is like.
- Realistic situation
- different characters between Pizza Girl, Mia's Mom and Mia herself the characters are extremely different in character and behaviour.
- the potential this game has in the future.

I feel like Sin can make this game feel very much as if possible to happen just like this IRL which is a fun thing for me.
I hope to see Mia be a sweet and kind and innocent girl slowly falling for me and me winning her over.
I hope to see Mia's mom's route being her knowing what she wants and self-confidently winning me over and increasing my drive and dedication.
I hope to see Pizza girl's route being all about sex and pleasure (at first without dedication or any bondings, slowly starting to want a real relationship falling for me)
But whatever happens, even if Sin doesn't do what I want, his characters and story so far is nice and good and I am sure he will win me over with HIS version of the game.

There isn't much there yet, but what we do have gives me hope for a really great and fun game.

Why 4*? Because it is good and awesome and all I mentioned above.
Why not even 5*? Still some mistakes in the game, and some situations that feel like they are forced into the game and they happen in other games and they are for serving us player's whims but I don't like them. Luckily they are avoidable by chosing a different action. But I wanted to chose that one action but I didn't like the character's reaction to it and so was forced to chose another action. But I am hopeful that this game will see me write another review later down the line - with 5* this time.

TLDR: Just quickly try it out and see if you like it. I'm certain the first few interactions with LIs will win you over.

This is an interesting take on storytelling and not something I have seen on this or any other site before.

The initial release had some issues with bugs and the first part of the story, @SinAppeal took what was said and corrected this very quickly. Although I have not played the other game from this Dev that alone is praiseworthy.

The characters are well done and look their ages with fairly well rounded personalities, one is very driven and used to getting what she wants, the other is very sweet and shy but still outgoing.

The MC is believable, as a quasi-programmer and IT guy I can confirm some of us are rather withdrawn and introverted much like the MC but do also have lives when we remember to step away from the computer

All in all a very good beginning and I cannot wait to see how this grows.

This game has a lot of potential.

the first point is the graphics, the person in charge of creating the renders obviously takes a lot of effort to make each of the characters look unique, so far all of the women presented in the game have their own physical traits that makes them unique, even between characters with similar appearances (blondes) like Mia and Rachel, the overall quality of the renders is really good, the only detail I found is that in some of the renders of the MC his hands look too small which makes him look younger that what he is supposed to be

as for the story there seems to be some inspiration from older games which features a similar dynamic, however, since the characters have their own personalities the comparison is only superficial, the presented characters have interesting personalities from the funny Mia to the sultry Rachel and even friendly and flirty Kinsey, there is enough variety to keep the game from getting boring since there since to be an emphasis on interaction with the characters so is a good thing that so far they are all likeable, so far there a are hints that there is more to see than the interaction between characters, perhaps there is a story to be told, it's too soon to say.

I definitely recommend this game.

Ch. 2 v0.2 Very good game, I love Mia's character, from her model design, to her personality. Since I saw her, I said, yes this girl will definitely be the one to chase.
The aunt on the other hand, I don't think she's a great character, but the developer doesn't force you or impose scenes you don't want to see, so my rating doesn't change.
The MC seems like a normal and ordinary guy, and I must say that I didn't dislike him, as in the case of other main characters, with whom I can't identify at all. (Although I must say that I don't share his fascination with lesbian content, I hope this game is not the case).
With the little content there is of the third girl (the delivery girl) in the game, I still can't figure her out.
The dev seems quite motivated with his game and in trying to do it better and correcting mistakes.
And I can see that he likes to have participation here in the community, I hope he keeps it up.
