RPGM - Completed - Winter Memories [v1.08] [DojinOtome]

Its just good, they take all mechanix wthat work in summer memories and fix what didn`t. Game have hot and beautiful pixel animatios, solid story and gameplay, minigames are fine. You can have some problems with unlocking ex-stories to heroines, so i recomendet check guide ond second run. Spoiler

the peak of h-games, dojinotome has a unique feel to their games that make them very enjoyable. the game design, while slightly formulaic, has become classic almost. in regards to their other games, you can tell the level of polishing as time has went on. 10/10.

I hate this genre. I said it in a review of summer memories, and I will say it again. And again, I will say that winter memories is incredible, and has reshaped my definition of a high-quality game on this site.

I will go over some the improvements that were made over the original summer memories (which you should play) and how this game is better in almost every aspect:

1. Gameplay
   • Gameplay remains roughly the same
   • There are QoL changes made to time skipping
   • A feature that really saved me time was the save feature. Before, you could only skip time when you sleep, now I can save progress at any time.
   • Also, the improvement of the Menko game and upgrades were quite nice.
   • Above all, I believe there was much more content for all the characters' and the quantity of them was greater. They were also more well spread out across the map.
2. UI
   • The UI wasn't frustrating in the last game, since it was lacking something - feeling like a bunch of buttons stacked on top of each other to get functionality in the game.
   • Not only does the latest UI look better, but it finally includes different functions and welcomed improvements, including:
     • An aforementioned tab for saving, loading and accessing the settings during gameplay - making life much easier
     • A tab showing the different characters' affection levels - enabling me to visualize my progress easier and find what character I need to focus on
   • I find these improvements great, and made me play more because the gameplay became more interesting as a result.
3. Map
   • Summer is literally the opposite of winter, with a map change for artist(s) that previously worked on a summer map - so much can go wrong.
   • Yet, the map improved greatly. Not only were there more areas to travel to (including sub-areas), but I felt more immersed in the environment, assigning characters in my mind into their different areas. Even the smallest changes like a characters' business being near a busy shop just made the map better. There was also much more to do in each area/sub-area.
   • The inclusion of more NPCs to talk to and Menko-battle was great for immersion, especially since they changed based on the time of day.
   • Generally, the map improved greatly and there was more to do.
4. The Storyline
   • This is the most important aspect of a sequel. Can they do the storyline better than before?
   • Yes, winter memories did. I almost cannot put into words how amazing the storyline was - how in-depth each character was in comparison to before. If you were bored with the plot of summer memories, the actual depth of characters being more than toys to play with and actual people was amazing.
   • The storyline was also less centric on the the girls at the house, which I approve of.

I knew there were minor problems with summer memories. All those problems were all fixed. Personally, I feel that the best improvement was the storyline and depth of the charachters. The only improvement this game can get is more content, I have no idea what a sequel of this game can entail since it is perfect to me in every way.

Play it if you want quality. Play it if you want quantity. Play it if you hate H-Games. Just PLAY IT.

PS: This review became much longer than I thought, but wow. 10/10 game.

there is no gameplay options or difficulty options, i barely unlocked /2 time flow, but i need infinite stamina not time flow

Summary: skip, i don't wanna play it, one of the worst games i played due to stupid system sabotaging my choices and ruining fun

Winter Memories may be one of the best NSFW games I have ever played. The gameplay, unlike other adult games, is really fun, and it is well thought out.

The H-scenes, whether they are pixel animations or CGs, are also very good and hot; the only flaw is that they can be quite similar at times.

The story is pretty simple. It's a cozy slice of life where you spend time with girls and make memories with them. It is easy to understand and is well executed. Overall, it's a 5/5 just like Summer Memories

( although the minigames were fun . . . they became obsolete [ except menko ] since money and stat bars were not an issue thanks to menko ) ( menko - ing was overpowered thanks for the high xp it gives ) ( repetitive ) ( extremely easy ) ( the new time mechanic was good . . . but way too easy to use it at its fullest ) ( begging acts were exploitable since it doesn’t have a limit meaning you could get unlimited desire points which could convert into memory points . . . with this you might be able complete the tech tree in a few days )

Plot : 6/10
( it’s nice that this sequel was somewhat much more wholesome ) ( somewhat predictable ) ( I still remembering laughing my ass off the moment I saw Miyuki's ending )

Entertainment : 7/10
( I wish that the diary didn’t overwrite Jan 1 - Jan 10 . . . I was carefully planning my diary then all of the sudden . . . the diary was overwritten which was just sad )

Characters : 7/10
( I can finally make " memories " with the heroines once again ) ( Akari and Hikari best girl ) ( the moment I saw Hikari . . . I immediately fell in love with her ) ( lmao . . . I need more small chested woman in this game ) ( character development was nice ) ( some random npcs have interesting dialogues ) ( Kanae requirements was annoying )

Soundtrack : 8/10
( very great osts ) ( the bgm was excellent ) ( voice - over were cute . . . just like the prequel but got repetitive )

Dialogue : 2/10
( the dialogue was poor especially but it’s bearable ) ( suffers from similar dialogues different girls ) ( the onomatopoeia was bad . . . lmao dopyu doku byurururu )

Fap Score : 6/10
( the small screen during pixel sex was a nice touch but still pretty much the same as the prequel ) ( it become somewhat stale? . . . I mean it’s still good at times but most of the time the h - scenes feels the same with others ) ( Boku’s penis was the same as ever . . . his penis contains gallons of semen ) ( h - sounds seems got a downgrade )

The pixel art is absolutely stellar, filled with charming details and expressive character animations - great expansion for Summer Memories. A lots of positions and options. Where the game truly shines is in its wealth of content; there are numerous branching stories to explore, each offering different scenarios and emotional tones.

Probably the best NSFW game I've ever played. The story, really good for this kind of games (even when I wasn't a fan of menko storyline. Animations, I loved them, more the pixel ones than the scenes, but, both good. Gameplay, entertaining I must say. This game improved everything of Summer Memories. I know it could be less popular for being the sequel, but belive me, its much more better (and that's a thing).The only bad part, for me (and I know I would sound dumb and cliche) was finishing the game an dnot having more of it. Loved it.

Starts from the end of the first game and builds on it perfectly. Genuinely amazing and overall a must play.

Most if not all the scenes are hot, the mechanics are awesome, lots of new QOL. One of the best ero games ever.

One of the best NSFW games I've played. The story continues almost exactly where its predecessor left off. The protagonist once again spends his holidays with his relatives. This time in a wintery setting, with holidays like Christmas, New Year, etc. The supporting characters from the previous installment now have a fully developed story and can all use the pixel animations. The main heroines got new stories as well. Minigames are easy and fun, no real grinding required. Scenes are hot as usual and this time there is way more freedom on how you approach the game. You're still stuck with the limited time-frame, but ng+ and the ''rewind-time'' perk make it easy to finish everything in a decent amount of time. There are also a lot of new features like the pantie-hunt, picture collection, gacha-lingerie and so on.

The only negatives about this game I have are the following:
- the CG-scenes could've been a bit better (story-events)
- the game feels less rewarding than it's predeccesor because every girl is basically down to fuck the moment you arrive
- although there are a bunch of new pixel scenes, there is still no real interactions between the girls. If you have sex with a women right in front of another one, they only get visually aroused but nothing more (no threesome animations etc.)

These downsides are still not enough to take away a single star. I warmly recommend everyone to play this game. It will set a new standard for adult games to you. I really hope we see another installment in the future.

Winter Memories is a visual novel that focuses on a slice of life story. The game has a cozy atmosphere and charming art style. It features a straightforward, character driven narrative with a simple and relaxing gameplay loop.

The greatest sandbox game ever.

It takes eveything that is great with summer memories and it made it even better.

There's not much else i can say. Story, gameplay are both 10/10.

Good sequel with well crafted CGs and enjoyable gameplay that allows for replayability. The gameplay loop was more refreshed to let the player do more each day rather than constraining the player to do a set amount of actions each day. Also love Suzuka's design in this game

At first kinda weird to grind for other NPCs but understandable since all they thought he forgot/ignore that fact to begin with.

Good animations as always and CGs as well, along with other mechanics to keep playing even after completed more than 2 / 3 runs.

this sequel is a significant upgrade compared to the first game, offers way more freedom than the prequel and massive improvements on the art, animation and sex choices.

Previous game Summer Memories is already good but this one improves enough to be called a sequel, even if there are some recycling animations and minigames it feels like a continuation to the previous game.

One of the advantages is that the relationship with the girls is developed from the start, as well as the achievement system that unlocks special skills that make the game less grinding in the advanced stages.

Simply peak game, good animation, good gameplay, nice game mechanics and features, thicc characters. Nice minigames and those who say the minigames are too hards should have a skill issues check. But there isn't enough scene with the Ichinose Family, i was expecting much more scenes if not as much as the DLC and the cosplay features was really nice but didn't get back, kinda sad but the end game Girls interaction is what the game need and more

Even though some of the quests can be obtuse and hard to navigate without a guide, this is an improvement on the original in every single way. Better scenes, better mechanics, smoother game play. Also one of the very few true shotacon games available, and executes the concept well.

The much anticipated sequel of Summer Memories, it starts off strong where you can jump straight into the smut with mostly familiar girls and a few new ones.

It also features more animations and an arguably much easier gameplay sequence. While it's certainly not necessary to play Summer Memories, it's definitely worth completing that game once before jumping into this sequel.

This game is a great follow-up to Summer Memories. The characters are beautiful women, and the minigames are really fun. It’s another great shouta game, maybe the best in the genre. The pixel art looks perfect, and the memory book drawings are awesome. A solid choice for fans.
