This seems to be a really unpopular position in these forums and among gamers but I appear to be wired for monogamous relationships and the games I like best (so far) at least make it possible - or promise to make it possible in the future - to focus on a single Li or at least end up with a single Li.
The most frequent responses to this are that a single girl isn't a fantasy - and they play these games for fantasy or that they hate choosing and breaking girls hearts. However, I've been in a number of real world relationships and a single, hot girl who is simultaneously your lover, unwavering ride or die best friend and partner in crime - forever is plenty of fantasy for me. And even if a game is a harem game I end up with one or two I really like and the rest just annoy me. I hate having to have relationships with women I have zero interest in to advance a story. And I hate having any kind of group sex with a Li I'm really, really into and one (or more) who just annoys the fuck out of me. I don't find it particularly erotic.
So, I'm starting this thread and leaving it up - please feel free to post here no matter how old it gets - with your comments or game suggestions. Mine, so far, for those of you who are interested are
Acting Lessons (which is sad and tragic at the end, for no good reason and in a way that does nothing to improve the story) but you can absolutely just have a single Li throughout.
Bare Witness - I recommend the Mora solo path if you like Monogamy (though there are multi girl paths in there too).
Between Two Worlds - You start out with a great girlfriend, from there you have the option to branch out with your relationship or not.
Lancaster Boarding House - Not the greatest game overall, but a satisfying monogamous relationship
Leap of Faith - tragedies in this one too but there are solo paths if you can dodge all the girls throwing themselves at you and stick to them - Getting through CeCe's solo path to the end was one of the most satisfying moments in any AVN I've played.
Price of Power - You get the girl very, very early in the game - and then there are opportunities to include others, or not, later on.
Sandstorm - You go on a vacation with a friend from school who you've always had a crush on and her boyfriend who is a bit of a dink - and apparently there's a path to win her over, but the reason she brought you is she has another single friend whose going and if you stick with her, it's a fun path.
The Roommate - there is a solo path with Kari .... it's a lot of work, there are about a dozen women throwing themselves at you constantly and they throw in a non-optional threesome with Kari and another girl that is annoying and after that you have to keep telling Kari that it was a one time thing and you're not doing it again, nor does she have permission to do things with the girl on her own but ... so far it's possible. The Dev just makes it really difficult.
Toro 7 - It's short but pretty straightforward - you get to choose your gender and then in the first few chapters (of 7) you pick a girl and that's it. There isn't even an opportunity to cheat, once you've decided all the others respect that and leave you alone. Very well written story as well.
I'll also give honorable mention to Wartribe Academy and Dropout Saga just because they have some of the best writing In adult games. While Monogamy isn't possible in the early part of Wartribe, the Dev promises that it will be by the end - there are 14 possible endings and 13 of those are with one girl. Although the dev is also about to have his first child so it may be a long, long wait for any kind of 'ending'. Dropout Saga is really well done - and while your relationship at this point in the story is a throuple (two girls) - it feels natural, the girls are both great and really like each other. It looks like there are other girls who are going to be an option soon but I don't know what the Dev has planned or what will and won't be optional.
