Well, they don`t want to change the main game for patreon rules, it`s understandable, you know. But for me, the keywords from their team are "I have not neither power nor time for it" saiing about the game development plans. IMHO they lost Ariadne's thread and don`t know what to do in future at all .

i just get how a dude can make one post a year. it kinda bums me out considering the game is pretty good, the story is pretty good, the art and characters are pretty good..... but this dudes work ethic is bad or something. hope its not like something happened to him.

then dont give them money. thats the solution tbh. if its a scam which i feel this is a 80% chance it is at this point then dont support them, dont endorse them, dont acknowledge them(except in the case they make a new game and try to do the same thing again, then promptly out them).

oh and if your actually paying for this guys through patreon or something, think about maybe reporting in that case or getting a refund. you pay for the content but if there is no content then this is agains those platforms guidelines.

I've seen some fan mods for Witch Trainer, but I'm not sure if you need permission to do that or not. If you're not in the same country I'm not even sure if they can hold you accountable by the law, but I don't really know what the laws are. You see copyrighted material all over places like Youtube. Parody's are often allowed. I doubt it would be worth the effort for a small company to sue someone even if they did. I can't say for sure though. Only a lawyer would know. I think it also depends on if the person is selling the game or distributing it for free.

Well the problem here is its their original idea. Its not like all these Parody games out there where they actually steal other ideas. Like Harry Potter, Disney stuff and all that. You cant copyright these because its just not yours. As far as i´m aware Witch Hunter Trainer doesnt steal any ideas? Atleast no IPs big enough mentioning.
On the other hand, companies with a seat in russia actually really do not have any rights to sue in my country.... because of ukraine.

could but not monetize it, wts doesn't use akabur's graphics so it's ok but rowling could sue akabur etc but don't think that would be success in court.
