Coming Soon: 0.25EX Release and Character "Voices"
Hello everyone!
Not a huge amount of news this time, since most of our work right now is focused on the routine side of developing Version 0.26. Still, as you can tell by the Changelog already being posted, we are almost done with Version 0.25EX. Reminder: EX versions are smaller "mini-updates" that expand the content of the previous release, which in this case is Version 0.25.
What to expect in 0.25EX
This update has a lot of new content with Lilith and some extra content with Irma. We strongly recommend starting your playthrough from the beginning of the 0.25 content. That means from the interrogation scene with Cedric at the police station. You can also simply click "Start from new content (0.25)" through the "Start" button in the main menu.
About the "voices" in scenes
There i one thing we wanted to clarify regarding the "voices". It seems some people misunderstood the wording in the previous EX version. We originally used the term "voice acting", which caused confusion. To avoid this, we replaced it with the word "moans", since this more accurately describes what it is.
Yes, we selected voices for each character based on their personality and style. However, this is not full voice acting of dialogue. It is background moans and vocal reactions that play during certain moments in the scenes. In the future, if the project grows enough, we may consider hiring voice actresses to record actual lines for key scenes. For now, this is a way for you to hear the girls in the game.
This time, all 0.25 content includes these voices, not just the EX scenes. Because of that, we highly recommend playing with sound on and using headphones. This is important because in a couple of weeks we will run a poll asking whether you enjoy this type of "voice work". The results of that poll will determine if we continue adding it in future updates or drop the idea entirely.
Release window
We can’t promise it yet, but there is a good chance that Version 0.25EX will release at the end of this month. Our translator and coder are working hard to make that happen.
That is all for today. Expect another post from the Witch Hunter team in a few days!
