Moot point I already addressed how to work around it. So it is not really a soft lock.
It's a RNG, he didn't give it in x4 times. 3 on this version here. Once last night on the Patreon version. one time he gives the thistle? But the game has soft locked every fucking second.
I restarted a brand new game and got the thistle again. Good to know. The Jester just froze on the screen.
I will try a third time, this version on F95 he gives 3 herbs of each type. The Patreon version he gives 10 of each type. I only have the Patreon version on my harddisk. It didn't give any thistle when I first downloaded it. It is bugging every second. Literally soft locking everywhere. It wasn't lastnight. It seemed more stable. It hasn't been.

Once again you show how you are incapable of understating it was not odd that he gave you now and it was not RNG.
Reread my messages and you will find the answer there. I could quote them but I still have hope that you doing it yourself you will one day be able to get an understanding but you really need to work on it ASAP.

Yawn. This version posted on this forum. He doesn't. Last night after a download he didn't. This version here there are x3 of each type of herbs given. The patreon version 1.250402 he gives 10 of each type. if it was consistent I would have had it. I didn't after downloading the patreon version.
I wouldn't have stressed I didn't. Again it makes zero difference if the game is hanging every 5 seconds. The E button not working. The Jester getting stuck on the screen.
He didn't give it on the third attempt. Only x5 herds no thistle like lastnight. It is RNG.

Friends, there's no need to fight. Version of the game 0.1, of course there will be bugs and problems. If you find them, calmly describe them with screenshots, here or in discord. The guys are trying to solve them promptly.

1-yes it is the one in itch.io as of now there is only two versions.
2- There are sex scemes accessible through gameplay. The dev even said they where able to launch with more scenes then they expected for the 0.1 and 0.1.250402.
Sorry can't say the number exactly since I read too many messages from the backlog of messages available of the devs since I known the game for about 3 days and therefore there was lot to read about so I don't remember where is the message that it was stated how many scenes they launched with.
It stalls every 5 seconds, soft locking, forcing a restart, there's no save point, only an autosave, where if it stalled and the E key freezes, for example if you've made half a potion, you've wasted resources, restarting they're gone. The soft lock occurs on everything. A jester appears and can get stuck on the screen. Moving the time can freeze. Opening the chest can freeze. Opening a recipe can freeze. Opening the pot can freeze. It uses an RNG on opening herbs and recipes, if you don't get the thistle, you need to restart until you do. Recipes are likely the same, RNGs. Ignored suggested the recipes worked. Another error there, 2 didn't work. Hit and miss. If you can slog through the game soft locking every couple seconds forcing a restart, you might get and do, I dunno what. Nothing should be released like this. It's basically unplayable.
As far as the errors. Why wasn't it tested first? Because we have ignored saying it works peachy.
Thistle among the other 6 herb types given at the start, if you get 5 you can only make 2 out of 4 potions, 6 herbs given allow you to make all 4 starting recipes, these trade with almost all of them, except a love potion for the fisherman, a poison potion, or depending on dialogue choices with the virgin, both need additional recipes and herbs. Getting there will force restarts, continues, countless times.
How the customers come are RNG. Like how the Vendor gives and sells herbs and recipes. It shows particular vial the potions should be in according to their recipes. It makes no difference what vial it's in, it sells for the same money per customer, a heal potion on the farmer sells 100, on the mum 80, the farmer pays a 100 for a strength potion, like the mum pays 80. It makes no difference the vial it's in. These RNG daily on opening the vial chest.

As I wrote above, this is an early version of the game, bugs and problems are inevitable. Although at the moment I have 28 game day and, except for the failure of the E key and disappearance of silhouettes outside the window, there are no problems.
You may need to clean the windows registry of traces of the game and run the game.

The art seems really sweet so far.
However, when I try to get potions ready, something is always breaking.
With the help of some users' posts in this thread, I managed to get potions done. No biggy. But on numerous occasions I encounter a bug after bug. Two ingredients suddenly merged into one, making the Thistle disappear and instead have let's say another ingredient instead of 3, now 6 times in my inventory. I don't recall dropping them onto the same slot. I missclicked and didn't want to select the Thistle, so I clicked away somewhere else. The pop-up with the item amount disappeared, as desired. Then I clicked on the ingredient I wanted in my hotbar/inventory. Suddenly both merged, the Thistles were gone and I had them add as 3x of the other ingredient, resulting in that other ingredient to turn from 3 to 6 in my hotbar. Happened with any other one. This yet again forced me to restart my game.
The jester once bugged and softlocked itself. A restart fixed it (perhaps random or per luck). Then the potion issues started again as well. Countless times it required me to restart. Either something soft-locked, a mechanic broke or something else unexplainable. Pop-ups acted up. All kinds of stuff. When selecting a potion as a task (through the book) and sorts of finishing it (to start a new potion/task), the previous tasks for potions don't disappear. It becomes a UI cluster and the previous started & finished tasks for potions are still active and break everything else. Neither was I able to sell a requested potion to a customer (the strength potion).
I really gave up trying to find a way to actually progress, after numerous stuck attempts.
On another note, despite the art looking actually really great so far I think, is the voice acting (in the first 5 minutes, as I didn't go any further lol...). For a v0.1 quite impressive imo.
TL;DR
- game mechanics and UI are broken, filled with unfortunate bugs in its current state/version
- requires numerous restarts, quite exhausting
- sweet art and voice acting
- potential once bugs are fixed

Lerd0 could you kindly update the OP to the latest version. It is available publicly but most people on this site tend to play the version available on the downloads here.
I posted previously that it is better for everyone If people base their opinions on the newest version since it is public available since 1 day after the first release. It is much more stable although not devoid of bugs it that version the most game breaking bugs that had no work around was fixed leaving some annoying bugs that have workarounds.
Taking from what I remember. Bugs that remain still and their workaround:
1-The chest resets on leaving the game and coming back. Don't store your ingredients in the chest but on the shelf they are safe.
2-The fisherman and Steffa has no option to deny the resquest. The workaround is don't open the door for them by looking at the shadow on the windows till you have plenty of ingredients from the merchant or a specific potion recipe for Steffa.
I say this because they have a chain quest based on the potions you need to give them and I dunno If it breaks the game If you give the wrong potion so they leave.
3- Sometimes the instruction for the potion instead of being dismissed when closed it gets stuck on the top right of the screen. To fix it just go to options and change game resolution and back. No need to leave the options menu when changing and going back. If you do this the stuck instructions disappear.
Other then encountering those bugs and working around it nothing prevented my progress on the latest version.
