am i Doing something wrong I keep making the transformation potion for steffa but she keeps saying its wrong even though its the one she gave me to make for the baron
Is mixing supposed to animate while dragging the dot along the bar to show the steam's color change? 'Cuz it only animates after I release the dot, which seems counterintuitive at best, and guessing where to release the dot isn't a minigame, it's a glorified dice roll...
Which is too bad, since there is clearly a lot of work being put into the animations. But at least the merchant guy showed up right away to give me free ingredients, since after skimming this forum I guess that used to be a big issue. But free ingredients... no strings attached? Not like this time it's free, but I'll charge you extra next time? What Soviet nonsense is this? What is the player's motivation to make money? There is no hunger requirement, this ain't a roguelike! Although since this game is all about balancing the need to buy supplies with selling the finished product that are magical potions, having potions that interact with a hunger mechanic could be an interesting choice. But I digress...
I'm not saying the main character needs to flash him the goods for the freebie right away, but for realz, the herb merchant didn't slog all over the place gathering herbs to just give them away for free.
Edit: Well, after an hour of trial and error, I kind of figured it out. But seriously, whoever had the brilliant idea of dragging the bottle to the cauldron BUT NOT OVER IT to fill the bottle in the same manner the player drags ingredients to put IN the cauldron should probably quit game design. Well, or be taken out back and shot, same diff!

Well, after playing some more, I see why everyone has been complaining about the RNG nature of the one guy who actually sells instead of buys. Waiting 10 days for him to bring a specific ingredient is hilarious... a hilarious waste of time! I guess at least the player can speed time up to reduce waiting, but still, further poor design choices. The dev has literally animated left and right facing sprites to walk around, but the main character can't even walk to the market to go buy herbs with all her downtime between clients, ridiculous...
not saying the entire game needs to become side-scrolling, but seriously, having a walk to wherever (market, bar, tax office) component would both solve the RNG merchant problem while simultaneously allowing for significantly more interaction than standing around and dropping bottles in a cauldron. Plus, not pausing the game/having time pass normally while reading the spellbook is pretty hilarious when you have to consult it six times... I'm assuming this was implemented to hide how much downtime the game has.

In the latest version, a tavern has been added, and now the merchant brings all the ingredients, without randomization.
Looking forward to it. Having to walk everywhere would arguably be another
Edit: Tried the new version, HILARIOUS!!!!! Merchant still brings stuff to the door since that's what he's programmed to do, but clicking on the door brings up the map. Excellent design, flawless execution. Dev should just quit while he's ahead... and he's already behind.

Why the damn game asking for potions I don't have ingredients for on day 2? Fix your damn game don't ask for things we don't have.. we can't look at the damn book before accepting.. so we either accept and lose.. or reject and lose.
Broken Game:
Need Love potion on 2nd day. Denied
Need Poison on 3rd day. Denied
1. Cleaning does not reset the damn heat. So stuck waiting in real damn time for cauldron too cool down so I can actually make the damn potion!
2. The heat portion of potion is broken totally broken. So I notice heat drops so I pressed pump one more time so even though it was still in range it said that the potion was spoilt. WTF? So heat is broken you will be finishing the potion too cold as it does not care once you hit bare minimum ignore temp
3. Ingredient shelf does not hold enough. More ingredients than shelf room which is totally absurd
When the fuck are you suppose to make money when all the potions needed you can't fucking make? the game needs fixing a proper tutorial so you can actually earn some damn money by having fixed potions to make in say the first week! This game is too buggy right now to play properly. There is almost nothing you can do unless you grind for real life hours as everything cost more than the cost of the potion itself. So until you did enough grinding to buy enough bottles to make many potions with same potion you won't earn any money.
I'll check in the future to see if this game is actually playable right now it's a damn mess and after doing nothing but rejecting characters for over an hour straight in this game.. I'm sick of the game right now.
I give this game a 1 star for playability! Right now it is an awful mess and not worth playing.

That's what I mean, I checked it on legit every pixel of cauldron, while holding and while releasing bottle, simply didn't fill up
