I',m good, i just wanted to let who ever was proofreading what i saw.
Well thanks. I just checked the uploaded script and you're right. That was a mistake on my part. Uploaded the wrong script. Will be fixed in the next version as I've deleted the old script folder. I had moved the new finalized one to a different folder but somehow uploaded the ones in the working folder. Thanks for spotting that. I'd have sworn I uploaded the one from the folder I have completed work in. Will be double careful in the future.

Hm, looks like incest patch (Data.rpy in game/scripts) was removed from thread due to bug in it maybe?
Works for me after small fix, but I'm still confused about capitalizing some relations/names because context is not clear in plot
I was about to share a fixed verison of the patch as well,

Literally all that needs to be done is add in a group of "h" relationships (can just copy the g group and change it to h) and it worked.

This is what happens when people FAIL to read through the entire thread. It was not just because of bugs why the patch was removed. The patch was incompatible and it is NO LONGER NEEDED due to the inclusion of a relationship changer. I wonder....just wonder....!!!!
Yeah. Because all people have paranormal abilities to determine at the beginning of the game without any context what relations (more than 30) they should write... Wonder more I guess...
And yeah, this, the patch isn't *needed*, but it still works with that little tweak and because the Data.rpy is easy to adjust, super unobtrusive, and would be very easy to remove even if it does cause additional problems later. It would have been more valuable to fix it in the first place, as it sets the relationships from the start, and doesn't require players to make guesses. Like is the neighbor just a neighbor or an aunt of the Mc? Seems to just be a neighbor based on context clues, but how can the player know before she even shows up in the story? Are all the girls who show up with the mother his sisters, or could one or two be his cousins since his whole family was assumed dead? Maybe he had an uncle die too and a cousin or two now lives with his mom in protective custody. And while maybe you could change it if you want, maybe you want one or two of the girls to be cousins to add variety, there are plenty of people who would rather just have a patch that fills it in for you.

Especially with how easy the fix was, I did it while playing as soon as I saw the issue was just the addition of the h group of relationships, it seems like it ought to have just been fixed in the first place and not removed outright.

I have checked it out as well and Like you said. Just change g to h and it works.
Is it allowed to share the patch here?
I can share if it is allowed.

Did you know that since version 1, the information about the two neighbours (Lily and her mom), Jane + her boss along with two other females was provided within the story itself? Even before the new additions, there was a character profile within the story. That's why I didn't even think when the relationship changer was added and Lily and her mom was deferred to friends like all others, I could easily modify it because I knew from version 1 what their intended relationship was. So claiming that no knew can be a bit misleading. Yes, if you didn't play it before then your statement holds true, but had you played version 1, then you should be aware. How difficult would it be to guess their relationship seeing they lived together?

But on another note, are you really following the story? It's a Witness Protection Program. Already the issue was raised when Jane learnt that the MC is related to the new clients he is due to protect. Why on earth would the company place Samantha and company among relatives for them to be easily discovered? Your argument about the currently identified neighbours as being related to the MC is pretty weak. What's the issue of trying to justify a patch that's totally NOT needed and has been explained away from here to kingdom come???:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Not sure what you’re even saying or why you’re seemingly so upset about my post.

I played version 1, but that has nothing to do with what I or the other guy were saying at all. Maybe this is a language problem and you didn’t understand my point? You’re arguing against things that have nothing to do with what I was saying. Like you bringing up the rules of the company has nothing to do with anything I said. But I’ll address it anyway. There is a reason that the Mc was placed with his family, and even hired as a man in the first place, so it wouldn’t be far fetched to possible think that (before you are introduced to them) there could be confusion about who exactly the neighbors are. And while after meeting them it is clear they are just neighbors to the Mc and family, but mother and daughter to each other, that could be confusing. And as I said, it actually isn’t 100% clear that all four girls are the Mc’s sisters, especially before you meet them, and even after it could, so far, work to have one or two of them be cousins.

I’m not sure why people wanting an easy patch that inputs the information for them is a problem for you. And while I played version 1 as I said so I could have filled it out accurately, I’m also not going to be dismissive of those who are coming in now to the game for the first time like you are who could be confused by the new system wanting you to fill stuff out before you have seen everyone. The patch would have been easy to fix, I did it in a few seconds while I was playing, so the snap decision to just remove it and not update it to still be helpful didn’t make sense to me or the other guy. That’s all. You disagree, cool, not sure why that bothers you so much. But whatever. We’re all just here to enjoy the game, and it’s silly to get up in arms about this.
