Not a bad start at all. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes, but some quick feedback from a fellow dev:
1. You need an editor. The English isn't nearly as bad as many other games out there, but it does go a little sideways from time to time. Your dialogue is actually pretty good, in that your characters respond in generally realistic ways and don't talk like robots. Refreshing to see that. Otherwise, there's some weird grammar here and there and odd choices of words/phrases.
2. Consistency in lighting is all over the place. Take a little time with your renders and make sure you aren't drastically changing the lighting in between. Also, many scenes are overly bright. When you use too much light in a scene, it makes the images feel stale and less interesting. Play around with lighting. Bring it down quite a bit, especially for nighttime scenes or in the bar.
3. People change clothes in real life. You should probably do the same with your characters. MC and Lily both wear the same outfits for 3 days straight. I know it's extra work, but it helps people feel like your world is lived-in.
4. Stop using weird, off-brand names for things in your world. No one is going to come for you if you mention Google maps instead of "Ogle maps." Worse, naming the magic school "Awkwarts" was just lazy and it's distracting when it comes up. Change that entirely to something original.
I'd definitely like to see more world-building. You had a great start with Lily. Take it further. Details are fun, as long as you don't just drop them on us with exposition. Have MC learn things about this new, magic world he's discovering, but make those things unique and interesting. The more detail you have in your world's history and setting, the more ideas you'll have long-term for interactions and storylines. Players don't even need to know everything about your world. Just having those details creating meta-plot in the background will make it feel alive.
Can't wait to see where this goes. Hoping for some improvement in your next release.
P.S. I really like that MC's adopted family is Black. It was a nice touch that we don't see very often in adult games.
