How long will it be until trans content? Well, slow burn is the gimmick, so that one will be a bit, brother. Certainly not in the same update the character is introduced. So I'd imagine Update 3 at the earliest, provided I feel like it makes sense for the story beyond just "here's some kind of sex scene for little reason." Just being honest, my friend.

Tried out the Ren'Py demo and was thinking about reviewing this, but it wouldn't be a very fair review considering I skipped the Twine version. Still wanted to give some thoughts though.
Should it continue on the Ren'Py route, which I personally hope it does, I feel like the game is doing itself a big disservice not porting over/remaking the first 3 chapters into Ren'Py as well. I definitely get not wanting to get stuck in rework hell, but as someone with no interest in going through the Twine version it's unfortunate to have my introduction to the game be a relatively long summary (though I do appreciate that it's comprehensive at least). If I didn't think the writing was as good as it is, it would be reason enough to drop the game for me. Knowing people on this site I'm likely not the only one.
That being said, I'm a sucker for good writing and devs trying to tell good stories so I am pretty interested in seeing where this goes. I see a lot of devs have great talent for renders and none for writing, so it's funny you say you're the opposite. The ones in this little demo really aren't bad honestly. Combined with your passion for writing I think they more than serve their purpose at the least. Hard to have a ton to say given there's not much outside the summary, but I'd come back to this for sure.

As a new dev, I realize I announced my release date way too early in advance and greatly underestimated the "finishing touches" stage of development, which caused me not only to miss my original deadline of May 17th (instead releasing the following week, May 24th), but also some content had to be scrapped, for reasons other than Twine just sucks (like why I didn't use the car driving animations I previously posted.)
I assure you and everyone else who may be reading this, I have learned my lesson and will not make such a mistake again, which is why the only thing I have to say about Update 2's release is "Hopefully, sometime before 2024 ends." Again, this is entirely on me and I apologize.
This is, to me, the biggest compliment I could possibly receive. Thank you. Storytelling is my absolute and ultimate passion.
I am absolutely the opposite lol. Like you even said, you'd consider dropping this if the writing wasn't so good. My writing is what I lean most on because it's by far what I'm best at. My rendering skills are... not even remotely close
. If my writing is an 8/10, then my renders are probably a 4/10 (in my opinion). There's certainly a lot more I could improve on. For example, my lighting can be a bit strange/bright at times, especially when it comes to indoor lighting because honestly, fuck indoor lighting. Hi there, thanks for the question. I hope you're ready for a typical "long winded Beerus" answer.
Recently, I have moved the "Turn Based Combat" tag from "Planned Tags" to "Possible Tags", but in reality, I don't think I'll ever actually include any kind of combat for one reason: I simply do not know how to do any of the sort in Ren'Py.
In a perfect world, I would like to try some kind of... I don't know, maybe a deck building card based RPG? Your deck is a bunch of different wrestling moves, holds, actions, etc. Buy/sell cards, find cards, acquire cards from opponents and LI's, etc. All of this is super complicated just to think about so I am hereby officially announcing: don't ever expect this idea to come alive.
In a slightly-more-realistic-but-still-not-possible-world, I would like to do something of the following: calling on all my RPG/TTRPG experience, the MC would have a set of core attributes (strength, agility, etc), as well as skills (high flying, technical, hardcore, etc). During the match, the wrestling would play out with a few basic moves before it gets to a pivotal moment where you'd roll dice against your skills to see if you're successful or was countered, or vice versa, or whatever. This is also very unlikely to be implemented though.
In reality, wrestling matches will likely just play out like a normal cutscene like anything else. I might add some choices during the matches themselves along the way, but surely not anything that could be considered "turn based combat."
There is another option that I'd like to explore more: create the MC, the LI's, and the other wrestlers in WWE 2k24. I would then record the matches in WWE 2k24 and play them in Ren'Py, as if you're actually watching the wrestling matches. Unfortunately, I am not good whatsoever at CAWs so I'd need someone who could create "professional" CAWs of the MC and cast of Wrestling Dynasty. I'd even consider commissioning such if need be. I think there's a lot of creativity I could do utilizing WWE 2k24 for Wrestling Dynasty. I'm also old enough to remember the WWE games from a decade ago that had a FANTASTIC "Create-A-Story" mode that would be the absolute most ideal for Wrestling Dynasty, but again, I would need drastic help in the CAWs.
All in all, "Turn Based Combat" is more of a dream than a realistic feature planned for Wrestling Dynasty. I would not expect any kind of combat system for the game, or at least, any time remotely soon. Hope this answers your question.

That's not a complaint, to be clear, I'm actually happy to hear that. It always annoys me when devs act like a trans/futa LI fucking the other LIs isn't sharing/swinging.

How: just as a quick example, it's somewhat common in AVNs for the MC to visit some kind of strip club or brothel. Even if the MC doesn't do anything himself, and even if none of the strippers/whoever are LI's, things are still happening around him. To be more specific...

Why: unlike the vast majority of AVNs, the world does not revolve around the MC. The MC is not the only male in the universe who is sexually active, and females are not just waiting around for the MC to come into their lives. Personally, I find this approach to be far more realistic (for an AVN) and immersive.
Now, let me be very clear: once a character is a designated Love Interest, then yes, they will only be involved with the MC. Your girls will never cheat or do any of the sort. Once an LI (even before they join the harem), they are permanently yours and forever loyal, basically. I am and will always be very clear and transparent on who the Love Interests are, and if there's a case where a character introduced is a FUTURE LOVE INTEREST—but not currently yet—I will make that clear as well. Don't worry, this still wont mean you'll see them doing anything sexual with others, just that they aren't interested in the MC that way in the story yet. There will be new characters in Update 2 that fall under this category: future-but-not-current LI's.
There will eventually be possibilities for group activity within the harem (example: MC+Mom+Sister threesome), but any and all such things will be entirely dictated and controlled by the Player. If you, the Player, say no, then it does not happen period (as opposed to it happening anyway but off screen, or whatever the usual "avoidable vs skippable" debate is).
And since you mention trans LI's, I'll say the following: any trans LI's in this game will be fucked by the MC, not the other way around. Essentially just going for "male-on-futa". There is one trans LI confirmed (and will be introduced in Update 2) and I could possibly add up to a few more, and/or I could even be talked into including femboy type LI's as well.

Thanks for the comprehensive response. Personally, I don't see the benefit of actually having to see scenes with other male characters, hearing/learning about them is one thing. That said, as long as the MC and LIs aren't involved, it's not a big deal. I guess this is kind of where I disagree with the site on how tags should work, because content that doesn't involve the MC or LI being included in the tags can be very misleading. Although, I do see why they would want tags for everything in the game.
The only question I have from there is if the trans/futa/femboy character(s) would have scenes where they get with the female LIs? Like MC+LI+Trans threesome where the trans character engages with the female LI. This I think is the real concern that people (myself included) have when trans/futa characters are introduced into a harem.

I understand your point, and I understand why most games turn the entire world except the MC + LI's celibate. Though in my defense, the scene I mentioned in question (involving the MC's dad), the reason for that scene actually had nothing to do with the drugs/sex/etc. It was a very important scene where the older brother needed to talk to the father about something critical, and just so happened to walk in and discover it. To me, it was more "environmental storytelling" than the focus of the scene. I could have just had the father sitting on the couch watching TV, but that isn't consistent with the world and the story I've been telling. I consider it important world-building.
But again, I assure you, the LI's are and will forever be the MC's.
As far as the tags, it's certainly tricky. In full transparency, I should have the "Cheating" tag applied because, like aforementioned, the MC's father is notoriously unfaithful to Melissa. And to continue with the transparency, the reason I chose not to include it (yet?) is that I was worried people would see the "cheating" tag applied and immediately jump to conclusions.
Another questionable tag for Wrestling Dynasty is the "urination" tag. While nothing sexual, there has now been two different scenes (one in Update 1 and one in the Ren'Py demo) that involves Melissa peeing in front of you. Does this count for the urination tag? I don't know exactly. I've tried to be as detailed as I could in the "Planned Genres" section, but I suppose I could get even more detailed and list every single tag that does not apply to the MC/LI, if need be. Though I will say there will be several new tags introduced in Update 2.
The only penis that will interact in any way with the LI's will be that of the MC's. Any trans/potential femboy LI's will not "get with" anyone else in the harem, and in the case of a threesome, it would act as any other threesome where the MC is the main focus (though again, all group options will be the Player's choice). There will never be situations of "MC and trans both fuck a girl" or "MC lets trans fuck a girl". Another way to put it is like this: The MC is the ONLY member of the harem who will be doing the fucking; everyone else gets fucked by the MC.
Rest assured: any penis—other than the MC's—interacting with any LI in any way is something I have zero interest in. At the end of the day, whether it's girls, trans, femboys, or whatever else... They all belong to and serve the MC.

For whatever reason, some devs convince themselves that as long as the dick belongs to a LI then it shouldn't be objectionable for it to be used on other LIs, even when they say that there won't be sharing/swinging. I get what you're saying about the scene with the Dad, although I haven't gotten to it yet in game, that does seem to be a valid reason, rather than just wanton voyuerism for the thrill of it.
I actually started playing version 0.1 a little bit ago, and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. I'm a sucker for sister and childhood friend characters and Abby has not disappointed from what little I've seen.

Just finished both versions. The dev requested input (I hope I remembered that correctly), so here are my thoughts.
The models look good. The writing about an abusive household is eerily accurate. The psychological ramifications from having grown up in such a household, obviously depending on personalities of the people involved, are realistic and relatable. The PTSD manifestations in Dani's office and the dreams MC has, are jarringly accurate. All pros as far as I'm concerned. The only cons that I have are the ringside commentary by Dani (complete and total cringe, hopefully that was the effect the dev was going for), and lack of mention whether her daughter saw the bandages around Melissa's head in the bathroom or not. Due to her reaction, I made the assumption that she didn't notice the bandages. That assumption made the scene go better in my mind. The secrets are the last con I can think of. Looking for secrets during storytelling took me out of the story and made it feel disjointed. If the dev continues to imbed secrets during the Renpy version, it should be announced that they A) exist, B) will NEVER happen during dialogue, and C) be large enough to notice and click on. IMO, this would be optimal so that the player can completely focus on the story unfolding and not break immersion.
A lot of these are subjective opinions and others are likely to disagree. Some are objective truths that I think should be recognized so the dev knows that people notice these things. No matter what, I hope these thoughts help the dev in the future!
