sorry for the dumb question, I'm not a coder or anything of the sort, but what are all the possible prompts that you can label videos to be used for the custom girls? (I've just been going off the prompts on the no-name vids, which has worked fine, but not all in-game prompts seem to pull a vid)
If you wanna know what calls what, go in examevents.py and everytime you see : findWebm(selectedGirl,"tag")
It means that the game will randomly select one video containing the tag in his name.
Some events don't trigger anything as I didn't find decent videos for them, but if you find great ones I can add them easly

I've been a fan of the base game for a while now. Just found this mod yesterday and I was thinking of contributing. I see your dilemma with the story and I thought of a few potential settings for the lore. These are just my suggestions though.
1) The country that you are teaching in is having an employment crisis because they have too many graduates but not enough jobs. The corrupt government initially wants your school to just cause these girls to keep repeating their exams so they don't graduate. After a bit of corruption, the government sees greater potential in this direction and increasingly allows you to do more extreme things. They may even want you to change your goal from delaying graduation to preparing them to be useful members of society by becoming sex workers.
2) The school you are teaching in is a prestigious private girls school. However, the sole sponsor that is providing all the money needed to run the school demanded certain entertainment. Maybe he has a teacher sexually harass student fetish so he wants to put CCTV and observe as you harass the girls.
3) This will more drastically transform the gameplay but if we were to do the angle of a normal school you are trying to corrupt (like HHS+). One thing I always found odd was how they just kept taking exams, but don't have regular classes and things. So if we go the regular school thing, I hope teaching classes are implemented.
On the development side, I have a few suggestions that I may try implementing myself.
Girls:
- Ability to define Corruption, Inhibition and Fear values in Config
- Ability to define Wardrobe in Config
- More creep like actions to increase fear: licking face, sniffing crotch, etc.
- Maybe some kind of training value (the more you target a girl's breasts, the more sensitive they become over time)
- Custom images for clothing options
- Different aspirations which affect their stat growth perhaps (haven't thought much on this but it was more the idea of certain girls may want to become a lawyer, doctor, etc.)
- Different personality types?
- Status Effects: Sweaty, Aroused, Post-Orgasm, Edged, Embarrassed, etc.?
- Fame System for online actions like live streaming and posting photos online
- Some kind of blackmail system? (like blowjob for a grade boost or something)
Upgrading:
- Classroom Upgrades:
- CCTVs that livestreams the girls when they are taking exam to increase humiliation, could also boost income but reduce reputation

As it was said, there is technically no difficulty or challenge in doing anything because it can't be in this context
And has I'm not that good at writing/finding a legit backstory that makes it interresting to play, I feel I'll get stuck really f@st.

I think there's some good ideas mixed in here.
More options on the current build seems like the simple, in the meantime, add.
If the game is going to be re-worked, I do think the basic gameplay loop of the game is addictive and easy to repeat (I really enjoy the sandbox feel of trying to slowly wear down the girls over multiple days). So I don't think those necessarily need to be changed.
If the next build had some blowjob options, cumming on different bodyparts, (and like you mentioned) some additional creep tactics like sniffing, I think that'd be amazing.
I know Ninoss mentioned not being able to find good clips for certain options, and that's why he didn't add them to the code, so if he needs help for that, I'd be happy to help. (I went into the code and added a line for licking ass, and I'm no coder so it seems simple enough?)

So correct me if I'm mistaken, but it looks like adding new girls mid-game currently wipes the existing girls and goes through the whole random generation process again. This can be a problem if you'd like to continue your progress with girls, and also add new girls to the game.
I think I've got a way to fix this, giving another icon in settings to load new girls without overwriting existing girls. The code below checks whether a girlConfig already exists with the same firstName and lastName as the girl in each config file in _list, and only adds her if she's not there. So, you can't have multiple girls with the same name, even if they are different people. Additional matching conditions can allow for multiple different girls with the same name. It also adds a third icon in the settings menu to add girls without overwriting existing girls.
I hope people find this useful. Let me know if there are any problems when you try to use it. Enjoy

I would suggest that some of the events you go out on are tutoring lessons to girls raise their intelligence at the cost of their inhibitions or straight up pump their fear stat

Finding all of the right scenes for each model, especially if you narrow it down to one fetish (schoolgirl), is doable but means a ton of trawling. Plus a lot of things like clothing or emotional state are necessarily generic and their state doesn't inform the sex scenes or even the static character portraits.
Daz Studio renders are overused, and typically used poorly, but they're a good enough fit for what I see as being your vision for the game. Rendering a bunch of still images for the game is doable and I actually already have a set of twelve schoolgirl models with base, bimbo and pregnant bodies plus poses and clothing sets left over from an abortive project also inspired by Examination Day and Professional School.
I've attached some sample images from that project plus some of the original renders, a render made with a closeup camera and a POV sex scene render to show how it works.

- Each classroom image is a composite of seven images rendered in Iray, using scene cutaway panes to reduce the number of combinations one would need to render for each combination of girls, facial expressions, transformation status, cum / body-writing and clothing. I put these samples together manually in GIMP but you can just as easily load them all up in Ren'Py as layered images as long as they're in the right order. There's also no need to use all six at once: if you picked just, say, the front row desks 1L and 1R that would give a more manageable four girls loaded at once.
- It's also possible to make closeup cameras for each model to highlight body parts as Examination Day and WTM Academy does now. These could be used as cut-in images or just to make more custom girls.
- The fisheye lens camera I used for the wide shots of the classroom is actually a POV camera mounted on a male character in the scene. I can pose that figure like any of the others in the scene, either to have the camera looming over one desk or to have sex scenes from the main character's point of view. The lighting in the sample is fucked up because it uses the headlamp instead of scene lights.
- All of the models are pre-made Daz characters with the Older Teen morph applied to give them more of a 'schoolgirl' look, but are portrayed as being 18 years old or older. I can also apply LIE makeup and nailpolish plus bimbo and pregnancy morphs, although the latter tends to fuck up the clothing.

I was planning of option 3), like a mix with HSS+ and The Headmaster. Obv I think that having real class to add more depth while be able to still technically do what you want (even if it has consequences) is a must have.
Many things can be defined in the config, that's the inner reason of why they exists.
About that I would love to ass some personnality trait driven thing like in Brothel King to achieve more unique girls and challenges / replayability.

Renpy is made out of python so after looking at renpy's documentation for those GUI and story things, if your famillar with Python it's really easy.
Yes modding can be achieved by just dropping files in the game directory. When stable mods will be out there, I'l simply reference them under the modding section in the main thread

But yes as you mentioned I don't have anything to add girls mid-game without wipping all of them.
In next updates I'll made a similar code to check if some config files has changed / have been added while loading a save
That was a choice I was wandering about. I've sent you a DM.
With someone to help me on that side, many things and features would be way easier to do and the game will also be free of "external not really legal content" + be a "real" complete new game as it would not share any assets with ExamDay.
I also want modding to be possible and accesible and even if I'm trying to write the code in certain ways that make it less obscur for other developpers, some have great ideas but didn't spent those x years learning code
For anyone asking, even if the game embraces Daz for way more options, I'll still try to keep a config oriented code to allow anyone to add/tweak many things

Started on a few girls. Haven't redone some of the picture ratios, so they might look a little funky. I did check most of the vids and they all seem to work appropriately. Some of the girls haven't done certain actions so I either left it blank or replaced with a facsimile vid (I.e. a surprising amount of pornstars never did anal on camera, so I put a doggystyle vid to create the illusion.)

If you are re-doing the orriginal game code, make it so the game auto-scales pictures with the wrong ratio better. Currently, the game blows-up the too-small side, making the images look bloated. Enstead, either crop the image or, better yet, just display the image as-is, but shrunk down to fit the aspect ratio without cropping it.

I'd personally be quite sad to see this game step away from the real porn. For personal reason mostly obviously but I'd also wager that it's more universally interesting. When you go into rendered and drawn images it comes down a lot more to taste.
Do certainly get the problem with school girls and what not, but at the same time the game doesn't really run hard on the school girl outfits, what with all girls having varying attires unless you literally enforce it. So there's room for solving the problem in other ways.

I read a lot of ideas and features there but just can't find the assets to make it work.
I still thing I'll keep the real porn version as a "legacy" version, less often updated, if someone as inpiration for events it will be nice

I've never done a game of this sort myself, so I honestly have no clue as to the extent of asset searching you have to go through in general or what's normal for it. So not like I can argue the point. xD
I can certainly imagine it'd be quite the enormous amount of work to find the perfect assets for every moment. I've always felt like the writing, story and dialogue, would be the easy part!
