Braindrop, we lives in a world that majority of the project schedules get change due to numbers things.

1. You, your GF, your grandfather, and any close relatives lives are the most important thing than the WVM game.

2. Once in a while need to reward yourself break. Being in same location for a long period of time is not really good, need to get some fresh air once in a while.

3. Keep in mind you are unique and you are running this WVM as one person job. That is impressive. You are still doing trial and error how to deal with your project schedule. You will find a better routine as time goes on. Even when you got hit by COVID-19, the schedule have been impacting you and your life. Saw someone's posting that you are planning a buffer, which it is not a bad idea. You will find the rhythm soon and may ended up tweaking it over time. The positive thing that you announce if the schedule would be delayed or on time. Some developers may not even communicate often to the users/supporters/fans.

4. There are a good number of supporters and fans in this forums are supporting you even if you have to extend the date of the release. Number of them also letting you know that your health and life is more important than the WVM game.

Well you are making a game many people enjoy and taking care of yourself is a part of your work, whatever you do and when you have no boss or colleagues to look out for you that is your job as well. So start planning some more hard fixed time off for yourself for the future in your update schedules. Not sure if the buffer idea will work, but it is worth a try.

BD is an asshole, he has to stop apologizing for missing deadlines whenever he comes up with an idea to make the story better. If any of the patrons can contact his grandfather or girlfriend personally, ask them to give him a slap on the head whenever he apologizes for the delay of several days in order to add more quality content.

BD has to grow up and start acting like a typical patreon developer: not talking to fans, disappearing for half a year or more, after year re-appearing with an update in 10 renders, and in no case not stop collecting money!

As a designer, I've noticed that the most interesting ideas come to my mind when there is less than a week until the deadline. But the designer usually cannot change the deadline and tell the client: "dude, I got a crazy idea, if you wait a bit, you will not regret!" And the author of VN has such an opportunity - so damn it, use it! And if you screw up - don't worry, you will always get your portion of rotten tomatoes!

Excellent idea!, that buffer should really help drop the pressure and stress concerning releases for you Braindrop.

I'd considered suggesting maybe instead of picking a set date, to instead pick a week to allow yourself a 7 day window.
Obviously something could go wrong even with a week to work with but the chances of it would be lowered significantly and all the asshats who'd usually go nuclear on you for missing a day or 2 wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Including that internal one of yours that really! seems to have it out for you.

Obviously some would and will keep being asshats, there's just no pleasing some people and that's ok because it's not your job to please everyone. No one can do that nor should they try, that just ends in stress, tears and unreasonable self-recrimination.

Are some of us a tiny bit disappointed when you miss a day, sure a little bit. But we're talking "aww not today? but i'm so excite!" levels and not " Omg he's the worst, he never delives, he can't be trusted bla bla bla." the ones in the 2nd group? yeah thems the asshats and you should never listen to them!.

We your fans love you and your work and we both can and will wait for you to bring us more of this wonderful world that is WVM you've introduced us to and just want you to be happy and healthy while you do so.

So A small disclaimer before this criticism.... Sex/porn games are all about fantasy so this is not looking down on it, it is more an explanation to anyone looking into downloading it.

The game has its good points, but it is basically the Simpmale fantasy of how girls should react to them simping for them hard. Not a comment on simping, just an explanation for for the game. You fulfill every girl's emotional needs first and foremost.... usually with only a single conversation consisting of "Hey you should be you...Ill always be there to protect you" and voila the girl's emotional problems that had plagued her for years are fixed. Oh and shes now completely emotionally dependent on you. Talking about the emotional needs/problems/issues that you fix so easily afterward seems like 25% of the game with another 25% them repeatedly telling you how amazing you are for it, the rest is about 20% sex, 15% conflict with other people to protect your harem and then 15% plot.


If that sounds great to you then this is the game for you. If not then dont be afraid to do alot of skipping. Dont worry the sex scenes have a choice beforehand almost every time so you can just skip to those.

As for you, Braindrop, I will still refrain from calling you an asshole. I stand with everybody who tells you that your own well-being, that of your family and the happiness of your girlfriend in times of a pandemic is more important than a game. Even a really well done feelgood with a sprinkle of drama like yours. In fact it's really an irony that you beat yourself up over a one day delay (okay, three days now) while others vanish, release one half-baked lackluster update per year at best and don't even pause their Patreon while you deny yourself your deservedly-earned income. (You may see it different, of course, and my opinion won't change yours, but please, you are allowed to take a breather once in a while without financial consequences.)


Oh well, back to Being a Delta Iota Kappa, the game crashed during the penultimate sex scene and now almost the whole extra render progress has been wiped out and I have to replay...

Braindrop I'm not sure I really even have to sing praises for you and your game I've done that enough just talking to you directly over the last year that I think you know how much it and you mean to me. So I'll just say keep up the good work and I love ya man.

I will say I'm thrilled to see you finally listening to us and adjusting to a more manageable way to doing things. Hopefully this new method will help you with yer consistency and prevent you form always going into self flagellation mode thinking you have disappointed us by missing a date you set for yourself.

The thing is, the girls generally like the MC before any of that. He isn't "getting" them because he is nice. He's attracting them because he is hot and famous, and then he ALSO turns out to be a nice guy. You need to stop assuming the MC has your face, he's much, much better looking than that.
