His last post was on the 3rd on his patreon, and he said that to keep checking every day at 7pm to see if it drops. At this point he has fallen into Milfy territory. At this rate I would be impress if the game is ever completed. But I got a feeling that sooner or later this game will fall into the abandoned or on hold status.

It is really surprising. WVM used to be the fastest updating game around here, by a lot. I guess getting married and having a kid on the way makes you rethink your priorities. I understand long delays, but when you miss a deadline, you should at least say something concrete. "Keep checking every day", is kind of a crappy answer, to be honest. Just say next 2 weeks, or next 4 weeks, or update in June, whatever.
I am not quite putting WVM in that category yet, but it seems a lot of games I enjoy are on near abandoned status. The fans just don't know it yet.

I agree with you but I feel as if once the pandemic started people were stuck inside and once the ran through the latest version of games the demanded more and more. Some creators like BD listened and started working harder to make the community happier so I understand if he is starting to feel the burn of that work now and I would be happier that once he comes out with this update that he takes a long needed break like 4-6 months because the man really needs it.

I agree, "keep checking every day" means no deadline. People last few pages are trying to use real world to justify some things, but in real life, let's not even talk missing project deadlines just showing up late to work. If you are late to work a few times out of the year due flat tires or road accidents or illness everyone understands. But after a few weeks straight of showing up late, your boss is going to start looking at you with a sus look.

I am confident WVM will continue in some form, even if development becomes super slow compared to what we have seen in the past, but it does seem like Braindrop's heart isn't really in it as much as before. Maybe I am completely wrong, what do I know. If it's his health, that is more important that a game, no matter how much we all enjoy it. It is understandable after overworking himself so much over the last year. Plus, with his changes in his personal life, I am sure he has other things to do that take priority.
He can take all the time he wants, but if you miss a deadline, it is better to say something and give a new target. Just courtesy to the fans. Even if he says, "Well, I was wrong, it's a lot harder than I thought to finish it up, so it will be out in about 3 weeks", I would understand and not have said anything.

I guess when he said that he was editing it to be that way i believed his statements. Heart is still as much in it as ever. Just getting married, moving across the country, and becoming a father are all very time consuming things that take priority over the game. Working as hard as I can and pausing pledges, also "No given date, just check to see if it is out yet if not check the next day." is not a deadline. It's quite literally me saying it'll be out when it's out.

There's no such a thing like 'missed deadlines' in games like this. Especially when he's pausing pledges month after month - you don't get new content but you are not paying either for all the work he says he's actually doing. Update will be out when it's ready, it's all what he's saying with that 'keep checking every day' - and even if the game ends here, no one would have the right to feel scammed as in other games mentioned. So stop bullshitting this thread with nonsense comparations.
