The reason governments do that is likely the practice of grooming. That's what it's called when a parent, adoptive or not, raises a child to become their sexual partner as soon as they become an adult. A lot of times before that, even. Older siblings and other family relations can be guilty of it too. As for Patreon, that's because game makers were using the words "step" and "adoptive" to get around the incest ban and they saw right through that. I'm honestly surprised that they haven't extended the ban to roommates and landladies yet.

That's a good point. I hadn't considered that. Shame it has to be called something that it's not. But I could at least see the purpose of it for those circumstances.

I've seen a lot of games have it to where you can just manually type whatever you want the relationship/title to be. Even though a lot of times it's pretty clear just at a glance what the intention is meant to be.

All that is easily solved by adding the option to type in your own relationships.
update was really good........BUT the past few updates the Dev hyped up this "special" game day saying its "tomorrow'' and whatnot we waited so long for this so-called gameday i feel like the dev is putting it off for some reason as in it feels like we will never see it as it gets close the update just ends

So, let me see if I have this right. Azel is basically his mom. She raised him. Cared for him AS her son. So, that makes her his mom. Even IF there's no blood relation. Cedar IS his full blood sister. So, in essence, it would be incest. But, you say that just because the MC can't fuck his 'mom' or his sister, the dev needs to hide them in the background. My question to you, is that what you did to your mom and sister? I mean, you can't fuck them, so, am just wondering.
Technically, Azel was never married to the MC's dad. They didn't even date for very long. IF they actually did. I don't remember. Azel started out as the babysitter. If I remember right. So, technically, she's his 'nanny'? But, anyway, these are just my thoughts and as I told Bubba ropershy above, she's basically his mom. That's how the relationship developed. So, if BD says no, it's no and people REALLY need to shut their mouths over it.

No. What he means is that there needs to be less sexual tension building between MC and those characters. They're all very clingy and it's almost as if Dev is pushing sexual tension between them. With all the cuddles, sleeping together, kisses on the mouth etc. If there is not going to be any kind of sexual relations between them, Dev should cut those kind of scenes back a lot.

He said what he said. If he meant less, he should've said it. But, thing is, as much as I and a ton of others would like to fuck Azel, it's not happening and if you feel that it's sexual tension, then, that's on you. I don't see it that way. Just because she kisses on the lips, doesn't mean shit. So, everyone needs to just let it go.
Look, I'm one of those that enjoys the incest games, but, some don't need it. WVM and WTHI doesn't need incest. Simple. End of story.
