Yeah something like that, BD mentioned in a Patreon Comment Question, he is done something like ~65% with the rework. So probably late this year, early next year.

Isn't that coming out next year now? Seems odd to have the rework take that long rather than finish it now.

Honestly, if no one had mentioned a rework or time table no one would be questioning the time it takes. Kinda silly to do so anyway when the vast majority of people also told him to "release updates when they are ready".

Well he is doing it as we all (should know by now) simultaneously to the normal updates, while for the normal updates he uses 2 PC's and the Week 1 redo he uses 1 extra PC, ofc the week 1 redo takes longer and is not top prio, because I think most people want new content before the old redo (Am not sure if he had a poll on it). And you will always have people wo just want the week 1 redo done (we had that dude a few pages back lol). I think it's ok how he does it now, even if I am pretty hyped for the redo by now, but won't want to wait for new stuff too. I wish he could just put out a 1000 render updated every week

One MAJOR issue with that, the new content is a continuation of the rework and with those new characters. While true, I just hope it doesnt change that much in the upcoming days, where we would have to know the back story too. We will see, would you guys then rather see him finish week 1 redo after the next update or start working at the new one like now. Could be an interesting poll, if BD sees this.

Also, while yes he could do this another way, that's not what he chose to do. So unless ya'll wanna whine about it now and get BD to host another poll to potentially change his workflow and delay all updates further it's pointless to complain now. Fairly certain he had a poll about his workload ages ago when it came to rework priority shoulda spoken up then.

I would certainly rather see him complete the rework before we get new content with characters that were never introduced in the non-reworked week 1. It sounds like the rework is a major shift and would be "new content" itself for the most part.
All I know is the vast majority of people paying him for his work, like myself, are more than ok with how he is doing things. I get it sucks waiting, but yelling at the river to stop flowing only serves to make you feel better cause it's just going to do what it's going to do.

Yes pretty much, the café for example will be added as one location, that will probably more frequent used. And he is at ~1800 only NEW renders so far for the rework, but we don't know how many render he will reuse, especially the non H-Scene ones.

Only new characters that were introduced earlier in the redo are side characters like Granny.

That's only counting renders from when I started tracking them in the mind drops. The redo is in the high 3k's for renders.

I never said otherwise, nor am I upset about this, but I fully standby my observation that this is a stupid idea. Liz is probably going to be talking about her "first time," especially with Millie in the picture, and the player now has no idea what that scene entails.
Maybe wait for the redo then. Ik, ik, crazy inconceivable idea but that's what I bring to the table.
And even if that very strange conversation were to happen, I'd imagine you'd have the reading comprehension to understand that the time she's referring to is from the redo and if that's such a deal breaker for you then wait for the redo.
