I also have a copy of the update in my possession so there are contingencies in place in case Braindrop has a change of heart.

There's obviously a lot of drama I simply do not care about, but if were a betting person, this looks like a hostage situation. Or, put slightly more seriously and with Legalese attached: if you no longer maintain control of the publishing of your own works, you probably no longer legally own them. [3]

I'm actually feeling a lot better, I feel way more "in control". Not really stressing too hard and that's pretty new for me.
Feels like I let a lot of weight off my shoulders and like my brain isn't all fogged up anymore.

I do feel much more clear headed than before. I do believe this is the turning point.

I know I've lost a lot of people that fucked with me on my downward spiral and there's no one to blame but myself and I'm cool with that. I hope my actions in the future will bring some of them back.

timing is not good. but BD will work tierlesly to get the update oute in 3 weeks.

Well I do believe that if he truly cared about the people giving him money so that he can do a hobby that he loves for a job (and making mad Bank while doing it).
If he truly cared about his reputation and really felt bad about the way he has treated all the dudes and dudettes who has been supporting him....
He would stop this BS and just release the Update right away.... not fucking hold it untill the 13th.

Well the mindchanging ship has sailed a few years ago for me, even if he manage to get out hundreds of renders/week the amount of BS and lies outweigh anything he does from now on.
BD couldn't do anything to earn MY trust again and sadly he made me less trusting of other Devs to (Not everyone but most, currently there is only ONE dev I would support if I had the funds)

Braindrop, if you're reading this: Fire MacFakezie. I mean, I personally think she's you, but whatever, fire her. Any good PR manager would have advice you not to fucking share your personal life YET AGAIN.

After failing your patrons and followers so many times, the last thing people want is hear you using them as your personal therapist AGAIN. Zip it, for your own good. I'm not even trying to be rude, just zip it, oversharing your personal stuff when you already pissed people off only makes things worse, and I'm surprised your PR manager can't even tell you that.
Stop making promises and letting people know you wanna try to set a date YET AGAIN. 99% of the people don't believe you anymore, and they don't care about empty promises.

Best advice I can give you (and I don't need to be PR anything, cause I just use common freaking sense) stay quiet, work and deliver your update as you should, without promises, without more sob stories, without oversharing personal life, NADA. Just do what you're supposed to do. That way when you fail to deliver, again, at least you didn't fucked it up (even more) announcing a date.

I get the impression that she's not a proper PR person (if she even exists in the first place).

It seems like shes his friend, and he said "hey wanna do my PR" and she said "sure", and that was it. I don't think shes particularly trained in PR or communication or anything. If she is, then shes doing a terrible job of it by basically enabling him to sabatage himself.

At this point, probably. However, more and more are starting to see the truth behind the bullshit, and slowly but surely those patron numbers are gonna decline. Once it start hurting his bottom line however, it should force his hand. Or it won't. Would have to see.

Ok because I apparently have nothing better to do, I'm gonna add some of my lukewarm takes on parts of this post that aren't actually related to the new fake release date because I think everything has been said on this.

Some other person on here pointed out that this is terrible advice but I just wanted to repeat it here. If I can contribute anything to this shitstorm of a game thread, let it be this: the pull-out method is the worst attempt at birth control there is. Terribly ineffective and should never be relied upon. And of course, the reverse is also only true in porn game logic, i.e. if you creampied a girl once that they automatically have to get pregnant.

No other guys will be involved ever in any sex scenes. There will be more trans characters though their involvement with other girls will be entirely optional.

All girls (Outside of the ones patreon doesn't allow) will be romanceable. (Yes that includes Harper and Skye.)

Add transphobia/Skye-was-never-intended-to-be-a-trans-man to the list of things annoying about this game. The trans inclusion in the game, and the fact that Shauna and Penelope were fairly well handled as trans characters (at least as far as porn games go—there is only one other game I can think of that did it better, see signature) was one of the things that excited me most in the early stages of the game. When Skye was introduced, I welcomed him warily although I instantly had my doubts as to how he would be included (see my previous post on this if you're interested).
I know it's not the most important thing about this post but just gives me another reason to be annoyed about the fact that even if an update comes out at some point, I'll probably not enjoy it the same as I did earlier parts of the game.

You literally can't. All you've done is prove the skeptics right. Over and over again. It doesn't matter what you do now, even if you actually did start at some point delivering regular updates again, keeping your promises, rebuilding trust, it doesn't mean the skeptics were wrong or the believers were right. Everyone saying that you would delay your updates again was actually, in fact, right.
It might be a small thing but this short sentence really shows BD's delusion to its core. That is, if he actually buys his own bullshit, but I think he does, at least to some extent. But to think that somehow you proved anyone right that kept supporting you if you do in fact release the update at the promised date is just hilarious.
