I don't think it matters because BD hates actually doing mini updates. He talks on and on about how it was better when he did them, but he has no ability whatsoever to restrain himself to them, because that would require him to release content. 100 becomes 500, 500 becomes 1000, 1000 turns to 2000+ and no release date in sight. Then he releases less than half of what he says he made, likely because half of it is unusable nonsense. See: the last several updates.
It's because unlike everyone else, when they asked Jamie if she wanted to double the ass and give it to the next person, she actually decided to keep it.

Oh damn - he needed to 'rerender' the images with black boxes to change/remove them - so this means we will have 2-3 updates of reworked DITLO now ...

Last week was not the first, it was the last of the delayed content. This week is the real start. It should be today, but (if it happens) will be, maybe, before midnight of Sunday so he can claim it was "still" this week, or something lame like that.
Mr. Reliable-on-Excuses-In-Chief will have another catastrophe of some kind, another drama, another sob story. He will push the update as far as he can.
I don't confuse WVM with it's creator. I still love the VN, can't stand any more of BD's antics. This is the first time this dichotomy happens to me, I'm still trying to understand it. Sorry if this is a shock to you.

I thought this week was the last of the delayed content, and then starting next week was the supposedly new stuff.
What's the chances that we'll actually get the revamped beginning? I've not played since maybe 2.1.3 and don't really want to until it's released.

There are people here that think that the rework will still happen along the new content. I am not one of them.
I may be completely wrong, but I don't see that the rework is a priority for BD. He's (apparently) trying to rebuild some trust with this 52/52 thing. I think that that is more than he can actually do. The 100 renders per week, may be doable, 20 a day then 2 days for text and code? Adding any rework to that is quite improbable. So, before April 2024 (if he keeps this going) I don't see any chance of any rework. Unless, he stops adding new content and makes the 100/week into the rework, somehow I don't see that happening.
This are nothing more than speculation on my part. If anyone has any data more definitive, I haven't seen it.

Next update is ~300 renders, but we don't know if there's still some hold over or if this is new content he's made the last two weeks while he was putting out his backlog stuff.
