I am so surprised about it all "I am staying up past midnight to make sure I upload it" that was last night or rather if you adjust for the possible time difference (as I am from Sweden and that guy is from the US) of around maybe (lets give him the benefit of 9 hours) that would still be a possible 15 hour late to the midnight....
SO YEAH HE IS GHOSTING but man if he doesn't upload it in the next 7 hours that means he missed the next day's midnight as well.... But it wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary considering this dev....
Also this is my rendition of his next excuse:
Yo,
I am super sad to announce that I cannot upload the update for the game because I know I said I was releasing it yesterday and was even staying up as long as possible to try and get it out the day after. But, oh boy, do I have a tale to tell you.
You see, my wireless mouse, the trusty companion of many late-night coding sessions, decided it was time to abandon ship. When I checked the batteries, they were sitting at a solid 0%. Naturally, I rushed to the store, determination in my heart, only to find myself thrust into a whirlwind of events that would make even the most audacious action movie pale in comparison.
As I approached the store, fate took a detour. I stumbled upon a car crash, with four souls trapped inside. Without a second thought, I summoned superhuman strength and managed to extract two of them, placing them carefully in my backseat. Then, off to the hospital we went!
But oh, the plot thickens. On my way back to retrieve the remaining two survivors, my eyes fell upon an unfolding hostage situation at a nearby bank. Instinct kicked in, and I approached the police with one simple question: "What can I do to help?"
Next thing I knew, I was storming into the bank, single-handedly taking on four robbers. Adrenaline coursing through my veins, I fought valiantly, albeit not without a price. A gunshot snubbed my shoulder, a battle scar to remember.
Emerging from the bank, victorious but wounded, I hastened to retrieve the remaining crash survivors. Once safely on board, I raced to a nearby hospital, where the doctors, seemingly in awe of my earlier heroics, requested my assistance with a surgery they found themselves unable to perform.
I rolled up my sleeves, channeling a newfound surgical prowess, and miraculously, the operation was a success. Triumph in my heart, I returned to the store to acquire the much-needed batteries.
Yet, just as I approached the finish line, fate wasn't quite done with me. My neighbors, ever in need of my superhuman abilities, appeared at my doorstep with a request for aid. And so, here I stand, in the midst of yet another grand adventure, yearning for the moment when I can finally return to the digital realm of WVM.
Please accept my most absurd apologies for this delay. Rest assured, once I emerge victorious from this latest escapade, the game update shall be yours to enjoy.
