Just out of curiosity, anyone knows in which country brainrot lives? Just because with all those $/month, he may be living in a mansion depending of the country x)

I don't know, but if he lived in South America he would practically be a millionaire.
In South America a salary Minimum would be equivalent to 350 dollars, he receives at least 13 thousand dollars

Sheesh. whoever it was in here that recommended "move the chains", THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. that game is already more than this shitshow ever was :D Story, growth, and most of all, the chicks don´t just fall on your dick or tell you that you´re the greatest. :D It´s rly a breath of fresh air after this disappointment.

Apologies for the lack of posts, I've talked a small amount in the comments and in discord but I didn't intend on making another official post until I had this release out.
This is just a quick post to let you guys know what the hold up has been.

In the last post I said things would be out early in May, and in the comments I said this last Monday or Tuesday and both dates have come and gone.
The reasons for these delays are personal matters. I've been dealing with a lot of things both with finishing the update but mostly outside of developing the game.
I'm not trying to make excuses though, I haven't handled things well and I take full responsibility for the fact that this update should have been out months ago.

I do apologize for the wait and I apologize for any frustrations I've caused. I'm making a lot of the same mistakes I made last year but I'm not freaking out.
The update is very close to being done. I am working as much as I can and it will be out as soon as it possibly can be.

I do not think it will take this long at all but just to put it out there, if this update isn't out by the end of the month then pledges will be paused again.
And once again the update will be released to all tiers and former patrons at the same time.

I don't mean to look ahead, I'm fully focused on getting this update out but I do want to say that I intend to return to smaller but more frequent updates after this one.

I'm going to lock back in and that means I'll be silent until the update is out, so if you have any questions or anything then those will be answered afterwards.
Once again thank you all for your patience and understanding. I don't really deserve it right now but I truly appreciate it. Have a wonderful week and I'll talk to all of you soon!

The weird thing is, if he had exactly the same output but was just silent on his fake family drama and just put out updates when he had them without comment and fake apology and anything, we would probably all be fine with that. Maybe post a teaser pic once every 2 weeks, or hell, once a month, just so people know you're not gone and the game isn't abandoned. If a 300 render update then dropped every 6 months or so, sure we might not think that that's a lot of work for that time but people would probably think that this game actually is just a side job for him and he doesn't spend that much time on it and everything would be fine.

But it's his constant rambling excuses that get wilder each time will also somehow being exactly the same all the time that cause him all this animosity.

There are other devs that just put out updates like twice a year without much fuss, and sure, they're normally bigger than Braindrop's pathetic drops but still, people are not constantly moaning about updates because they just know that it will take time and that's that.

There's a developer I like who releases frequent updates of around 1200 renders, 3 updates per year.
