I shouldn't be surprised that we're approaching the one year anniversary of E14's first announced release date and E13 still isn't finished.
This is like Charlie Brown with the football, if Charlie Brown were yanking the football away himself.
1. Promising a chunk of E14 and E13 before the end of the month, which he's been doing since October of 2023.
2. Promising not to unpause pledges until E13 is completely out, which he'll inevitably have to go back on, again.

Seems like he was accidentally honest. Except he doesn't mean it the way I'm interpreting it.

Hahaha this guy is awesome, he hasn't even released the final update for E13 and he's already announcing that E14 could aggravate his mental block.
I know that I'm likely to get a bunch of sarcastic replies, but is there anything about the rework that was spoken of before. Just curious and a bit addicted.
Besides the fact that it was teased early on in the VN, when going from day 10 straight to day 32, the only other info I can recall hearing about it is that someone BD appointed was supposedly working on it. I may be mistaken, but I'm honestly under the impression that the remake will not actually ever drop. Either that, or it will drop far off into the future.

the rework would have to facilitate over 4000+ renders (it is probably WAY more than that). him doing that is currently not plausible. the only way a rework will see the light of day is if he decides to take the darkcookie approach and turn up the milk machine to overdrive and remake EVERYTHING from scratch. i still believe that the person developing this game currently is different to that which was doing it back in 2019-2022 and that is another reason why the rework is not happening.
Interesting. Is having someone else take over a game something that has happened before on an AVN?
In the open-source software world, it wouldn't be unheard of for someone to come along, find a project abandoned, and pick it up to become the new owner. But here, with all the assets one would need to render new scenes, it feels like it would be much more difficult without the cooperation of the original author.
As long as Jamie is still drawn as cute as a bug and the story remains the same or better and the updates are more current, I don't care who takes over.
I don't think it is purely this new person doing the heavy lifting on the re-work (this is under the assumption that it is even happening). I am fairly certain it has been framed as Dionyx or whatever his name is, is just doing the render work needed for his rework, acting as more of an assistant than taking over the project. It'd be similar to putting the intern on the boring tasks while you still handle the "big picture" of whatever the task/project is.
Again, this all is under the assumption that it is even being worked on... which I doubt.

Neither Dionyx nor McKenzie exist... they are figments of BDs imagination.
They are coping mechanisms he uses to lie to his simps.
I didn't realize the rework was going to involve redoing so many of the renders. I guess I was being simplistic, thinking it was just trying to realign the days so the MC wasn't somehow cramming 48 hours of banging into each day in the game.
I don't disagree with you, Just stating what BDs story has been... that's all.
I only believe what he says when he says something is going to be late, cause at least that holds true with what I expect from him.
