Personally, I don't think it's a good decision for the following reasons:

If I am not mistaken, a total of 5 female students from WVM currently live with MC: Jamie, Shauna, Willow, Stacy, and Elizabeth. The old car is totally unsuitable for transporting 6 people and more. All the more so when MC and Jamie are supposed to have children at some point in the future.

The car attracts quite a bit of attention, and MC and his entourage have had more than enough negative attention in the past. At first I was going to mention Ryker's boss and her other minions, who could use the car to keep an eye on MC, but then I realized that's absolutely unnecessary: He's already generated so much attention that her people shouldn't have any problems keeping an eye on him anyway, if they want to.

If anything then MC should consider getting a driver's license for passenger transport, since sooner or later it will come down to needing his own (mini)bus to transport everyone.
MC going to need a Class B commercial drivers license to drive his entourage around.

Exactly, MC is from here, same as Katie's family presumably is, yet his father took him away to Pennsylvania when he was small and that is presumably where the crash happened. Maybe not, maybe his father went back to Chicago that day, maybe Katie's family was in Pennsylvania that day, but both are fairly big coincidences. And as far as I recall, the only criminal shite we heard of his father doing was beating Wendy, when is it suggested that there was more to him?
I'm not Loco or a few others when it comes to knowing all of this stuff, I couldn't tell you off the top of my head, simply relaying what I heard

Iirc, Ryker's boss isn't an issue anymore, she wants to be friendly now.

But the two seater sports car is still really impractical as you mentioned.

But if I remember correctly, this assumption comes from Belle, and all the respect I have for her organization, but: in the short time she's been around, she's already had to admit to massive misjudgments in the longer and shorter past.

May also be due to my massive trust issues but: I generally don't trust anyone involved in drug deals and other shady business.

But well, it may also be that I am just overly paranoid.

So I guess the part where I say " It's just a matter of taste" didn't sink in.
What you or I consider a compelling story may not be what others do.
Saying it's just a matter of taste with no context is an extremely ambiguous way to state an opinion and then hide behind it you said you like the story I asked you to explain what about it drew you in since I really don't see much of a story. You then answer with essentially more of the same " This is my opinion there are many like it but this one is mine!" attitude..... I'm not trying to antagonize you guy but you said something I was genuinely shocked at since this game has lost a lot of its story plots IMO. The antagonist is gone so a new one has to be introduced the timeline to the whole story is jank. The protagonist is a basketball star but I can count on one hand how much practice he's had since he's been there hell they don't even have a full roaster now that Ryker and Kenji AND Damien are gone. I can discuss the whole exceptional girls and the colors thing That belle chick has going on but I'm not going to waste the time writing it I like the game the sex is great the amount of it is entertaining the characters look good but there ain't no story, my guy just a shit ton of characters that have plot threads that go nowhere.

There is an update of sorts though depending on your definition of update it may not be an update at all.

It's a side story update essentially hence DITLO - "Day in the life of". An update to the main game hasn't happened in quite a while. You are probably better off playing the other games for now if that's what you're currently doing in the meantime.

Ergo_proxy I disagree with you on the story aspect, myself. There are a lot of plot threads. Some of them have been tied up at this point, but that's very recent, so there's time to develop more:

MC's childhood trauma and missing family - Yes, the family is back, but that doesn't mean the story wasn't there, and it doesn't mean there won't be further impact on what's to come. Additionally this added the thing in about Willow/Cedar's childhood friend that we're trying to reunite her with.
Charles/Riker/Damien/Fight - Again, what we've seen of this makes it seem like it's tied up, and done with, and it may be, but again, there was definite story there. Antagonism, betrayal, shady dealings, action, those are all story elements for sure. And we *still* don't know for sure what happened to Riker, Bella only *thinks* Riker's boss will leave everyone alone, I'm not 100% convinced we're done seeing Damien or Kenji (given that he's the brother of one of the girls), or even Charles could come back - it's not like he was killed off.
Penny/Shauna - Dealing with their pasts with the bullying and such, while it hasn't played a major role, still has some potential to create drama.
Jamie/Her Sister/Her Mom - That's definitely *not* tied up, and a big hurdle for the MC to overcome.
Rainne/Bailey - Their relationship is still very much potentially a source of drama or could provide obstacles for the MC to overcome.
School Scandal and Staff Love interests - There *still* has been no in game development to keep the previous scandal with the school's staff from blocking the MC's path to the LIs that are staff.
Basketball - It *is* there in the background. Between the pressure on Harper to succeed, their problems keeping team members, the star MC being unable to play in their first game, and other factors there are certainly elements of sports drama.

I could go on. That's all story. Some of it seems wrapped up, but even if it is, not only did that occur very recently game-time wise, that doesn't mean new elements can't be added, and it doesn't eliminate what's already happened. Now, if someone were to say "there are too many story threads thrown at the players at once, and so none of them are developed in depth" I could see where they're coming from. I might point out that there's still a lot of game left to be developed, but I'd see their point.

You are more than welcome to like this game or dislike it (I know you said you like it, I added the second part to be inclusive to people who don't), for whichever elements appeal or don't. I am, however, going to say your claim of "there is no story" is inaccurate.

PrimeGuy, you made some very good points that I absolutely agree with as well. However, I have to make one small comment: Kenji was hit or run over at the bowling event and I think it's safe to assume that his leg is at least broken. I did some research, chances are that - given that it is only a simple fracture and there are no complications - he will need 3-4 months to recover. If his leg should be able to heal normally and he still has interest to ever play basketball again, then it can become about 6 months. So at least on his own, Kenji should not become a safety risk for MC. However, stairs should still be the preferred choice for MC.

Wasn't Riker the one hit by the car? Either way the final fate of those characters is still a story element hanging over the MC's head, potentially. If he finds out one of them is crippled for life, or died, even if they can't mess with him anymore, that will have an impact on the story going forward. I didn't mean to imply that any of the people involved in the fight might become violent again, necessarily, just that they can still have an impact on the story.

Edit: No, I remember now, Riker was on the ground being beaten to a pulp. Wendy likely did hit Kenji like you said (I only say likely because I can't remember myself, and don't feel like going back to see).

Exactly. Kenji was screaming about his leg. Since it was also said later that everyone should be stable, it can be assumed that Kenji will survive. This cannot be said for his sports career. In the best case his leg will recover completely, but thanks to this night, if it becomes known what he was involved in, he won't have a leg to stand on in professional sports (Pun intended). Worst case scenario, his leg will not be able to support him and may even be permanently stiffened, so either walker, pitchers or wheelchair if he is unlucky. I knew someone who had an accident and fell off his bike and hit the curb with his knee, if I'm not mistaken. Consequence: other problems followed and the knee will never work properly.I'm not a doctor and I don't know what Kenji's path will look like, but he definitely has an interesting time ahead of him.
