Please don't expect me to honestly answer that, because the reasons could vary from the absurd, to fairly mundane. I was merely clearing up from my reply that he (apparently) wasn't LOOKING for someone, that he had already found someone.
If we're going to clown on BD (which brings me great joy, btw), I appreciate accuracy. No need to make up, or misrepresent what has been said, when what's been said is already insanely funny and entertaining (in a sad possibly DID type scenario)

This is the worst part of that whole post. He's literally trying to guilt trip people into not canceling their subs.
"I'm not pausing payments even though I don't deserve your money because I have to take care of a lot of people, but if you really want to you can cancel yours yourself." more or less.
This along with the standard stuff about feeling bad etc. is just full-blown psychological manipulation.
He is honestly miles worse than Icstor or any of the other "bad devs" ever were at this point.
I doubt most of them care if they did they would have stopped supporting a long time ago.

Bro needs 8 months to drop update with 700 renders, that literally means he made on average 3.5 renders a day. Nutdrop needs to understand what word "work" fucking means. In those 8 months he probably cashed 100k dollars for doing basically nothing. Bro's certified scammer.

Way more than 100k, if we go by the last known average (it was 4,95$/per person on avg., as per graphtreon, but that was back in 2021), especially if we consider that yeah, there were updates during the winter, but the whole ep13 was supposed to drop late october/early november last year, originally.
In two weeks Dyonix is suddenly going to get hospitalized because this dev and anyone breathing the same air as him is the unluckiest humans alive and BD will have to take some time off to take care of his "friend" because he obviously have no one else to rely on..

We are almost there. I've been waiting for this. Now the only move left is for BD to fake his death and have his now two alter egos take over. This will buy him time and sympathy to keep earning (stealing) from his patreons (morons). That should buy another 2-3 years of doing nothing while these idiots pay him.

1. Update window (impossible to miss) has been missed
2. Update is being split into two again
3. Pledges unpaused, supporting a lot of people
4. Another release day(s) promise
5. Have hired another alter ego to keep on track, coming 'for the first time' to the realisation that its not a one man job
6. Daily tracker revealed to be BS, pretending to have completed work again
7. Blaming lack of progress on the rework nobody asked for, as if continuity was going to be the big issue here
8. Breaking vow of 'silence until update' to give more excuses
9. Refuses to be specific on the issue so as not to add any expectations
10. A perfectionist - going over the scenes over and over again
11. Procrastinated addressing the seemingly singular issue by (apparently) 'writing an entire additional episode' instead of doing the work on hand
12. Claimed to have been ready for release, just playtesting for a week, then suddenly remembering the issue that was never addressed that added 8 months to the release.
13. Both not taking things too seriously, as just a fun porn game, but also means a lot.
14. Believed that things would magically work out by intentionally avoiding scenes
15. Waffles about lost confidence with colourful language.
16. Cites added workload, due to a number of factors including being a family man and positively impacting the community as reasons for underperformance. Aside from these, each of the other factors are self-imposed (side content, dev reports, redo, daily trackers).
17. Mackenzie back from the dead, despite having had a limited role, her life was hell. She continues to help unofficially?
18. New alter ego doing what appears to be the majority of work, seemingly has he/they pronouns (switching around). Apparently playtesting being taken fully over by this second real human.
19. Release date will be met - this is backed up by people that no-one has any way of contacting (trust me bro)
20. Should the next updates be late, no pledges until 2025, although given alter ego will be 'posting whatever there is', update likely to be smaller than promised.
