Best part is, he probably didn't even need to underpay someone. One of his little drones probably would've done all the work for free

All I want to hear is progress about the update not this nonending too much drama for your mama complaints.
I think it's best to this point to just wait it out until 2025 and any new comments be ignored like I'm about to do right now.

okayyy he stayed up for a few days now and must sleep.
then he oversleeps and forgot to start the rendering/altering of the last images,and then the damn compiling error shows up again,and if thats not even enough his uploadspeed is lame ass with 64k/min

I don't think it's the amount of money, it's BD's character my friend because many other devs work hard and are more appreciative to their supporters BD at this point has made ridiculous claims "i will pause patreon pledges until the end of the year" and then he said it was stupid to say that....Now he said that the next part of ep 13 of chapter 1 season 02 will be uploaded today, but i don't believe it...If he were working and provide the updates he should have uploaded months ago everything would be better ...

He does not seem to care, since there are still some people willing to pay the patreon pledges and he can get easy money ,he had to say something to actually convince all those who still are willing to support him...By the time he uploads any content on his game i know of 3 devs that will probably at that time will have released 2-3 updates...lol he has not even finished rendering these update and tells everybody the 26th of september deadline.

i just don't know how you can't sue a guy for saying "i got 4000 renders done, RIGHT NOW" like 2 years ago, and then 2 years later he is struggling to make 700 ... i mean, how is he not just a straight up liar?

august there was a compiling issue and THAT was a reason for it being so late, today hes making/altering renders and has 9 left? curiouser and curiouser
I don't think I've ever hoped for a dev to blow past their release date as much as I do right now. The excuses we'll get after a week of radio silence without an update would be so fucking peak
He has never heard of "under promise, over deliver". If the up date is to drop on 9/26. I would think that would mean you can play it on 9/26. This isn't college where your getting your paper in at 11:59:59 so that you can get credit for a report.
I'm so ready for these fresh excuses, I'm really hoping for a new one... he's done the classics too much lately.

Nope. That was always a lie. There is no such thing as "compiling" in a Ren'Py VN. It's (basically) just pics in folders and a script file. Some devs go to the trouble to archive the renders which compresses the file size and actually makes things run more smoothly. I don't think BD bothers with optimization techniques...

Sadly, I don't think that is gonna happen. He has to make up an excuse for unpausing payments. Will he deliver the whole thing that he talked about? 99% says not. But probably like a third or half of it will be out at the end of the week.
If he fails and still unpauses payments... (which is probably the 2nd most likely scenario) then I am honestly hoping some good samaritans will keep posting the status of Discord.
