Because gullible people (and cult members) take it easier then if he said "hey, I will chop this update into 3 parts... that turn into 6 parts down the road." Instead if it is "beta 1/2/3/whatever" there is an illusion that he will constantly improve the chapter, and with the last part the previous parts will be better quality with renders or dialogue (can't say story, sorry, no matter how I try to force it) then when it first came out.
In the world of Braindrop, WVM Season 2, Chapter 1, Episode 13, Beta4.
Anything to drag out the tiny content he produces, suprised he isnt using chunks, but i guess thats what the beta version are huh.

so just because I was bored, I looked up what Beta actually means. According to "What Games Are": 'Beta' is a standard term to denote a milestone release during production in which game functionality is included and optimised (but may have bugs), game content is finished (but may have some implementation errors), and which is considered nearly complete.
In short: A beta is the finished game -or in this case an update, only thing missing is bug-fixing.
But in BD's world, everything evolves around him, so he just decided to call his little "updates" betas. Sometimes I wonder what's going on in his head besides food and sports. At this point WVM probably feels like the long lost memory of a childhood friend

It seems BD is passive/aggressive. I think he does it to fuck with people.
This needs to be repeated more. Whether he's malicious in lying about updates, he's definitely annoyed at some of his fans and gets back at them by doubling down on things they hate (thiccness, duckface, teasing incest, splitting updates, teasing Harper, etc.).

The meaning of Beta has changed over the years, and the waters have been muddied even further with terms such as Early Access.
I was taught:
Alpha: Functional build that lacks game-mechanics/features often uses placeholder assets.
Beta: All gameplay mechanics/features/assets implemented, optimization and bug crushing still needed.
RC (Release Candidate): Build that undergoes full QA testing, unless major bugs are found will become GA.
GA (General Availability) i.e. Final: Public Release.
from a technical standpoint a lot of AVNs are in a perpetual state of Beta but there are ones out there that do a somewhat more traditional release schedule by doing episodic releases that provide early builds (Beta) to some if not all supporters before wide spread release.
Edit: this was before patching afterwards was a widespread practice; in my opinion this practice seems to have dropped the GA altogether and made the players/customers the QA.

As far as to your comments about the "yapping about what´s wrong with the braindrop community" and "much jealous of the money HE´S getting paid" and us being "just yap bots" I would advise you watch your manners and to refrain to use of that kind of language aroud here, ok?

Well then, I really fucking hate it when he releases a full episode in a timely manner.
i got the answer so i guess it works, i dont really mind shift of hate at me for time being if i get the answer i am looking for, fishing anyting from this thread is impossible ive read 120 pages of constant yapping about nothing literally 0 value i could find about anything, i knew there are some insane people here but this was on another level, mods here really should consider making 1st disscusion thread for this game on entire forum

Best course of action for you would either be
1-stay here and hear the truth all the time
2-join his discord and be banned the moment you say something "They don't like"
3-be a lurker and that includes being quiet
Now about the mods. They have given up on this Thread because of BD himself, Before they used to watch this place but once BD did or said what he said Mods said "FUCK BD" and there was once a different thread called pool party but even they also found BD to be a sickness.
So either deal with 1 and 2 or 3 will be your best bet
