I looked this up recently for research purposes (no really) and it turns out not to be illegal. Some colleges ban it outright but most simply say teachers can't sleep with their own students, a law professor could have a relationship with a chemistry student for example.

Sorry for a second post on this but I found some typos and added some additional information for the little FAQ.

I felt the need of a post that can be copied when we get the same questions over and over and over here is needed. I put together the below information to help with this. Not that anyone who asks these questions over and over again will actually read it but here we go.

Are you sure you even play this game as it says this a few times in the game. Oh, I see you skip all the text in the game and just watch the lewd stuff.) As far as we know this includes teachers, Coaches, and other staff members. As stated earlier by BD these characters should be romanceable in the future just not now (reference the above article if you don't believe me). I won't list them all but Harper and Veronica both fall into this list so be patient and stop asking. The old Nurse is not a WVM staff member so she is excluded if you are into that I know a scene is in the game.

• Yes, there is a discord channel for this game. No you can't be added unless you are a Patreon for BD. There is a rumor one is in development for those that can not afford to back BD. I have no information further on it other than that.

As a side note don't feed the trolls or they come back and keep getting bigger and more annoying. Just run across the troll bridge and don't look back or comment.

Also don't forget to use the spoiler features when the new release drops and you want to talk about content in it. There are a lot of people that enjoy the game from various time zones and would like to experience it without spoilers.

I'm sure each nation and each college within those nations may have different rules/laws, but I know in the US, most colleges will fire the teacher and/or expel the student for fraternization. It's generally considered a conflict of interest at most colleges.
Only reason it would be illegal is if the student were under legal age of consent, and most college students are 18+ (while some are 17, and even less are younger..considering child geniuses, etc). The law would only get involved if the student was under legal age, though.

That was my point but regardless, the issue within the game we're discussing is seemingly one of reputational damage which is why the teachers at WVM are being watched and why we won't get scenes with Harp, Veronica or the young nurse for a long time.

I think that scandal situation was a great move by Braindrop. Not only helps to explain the genre segregation in the college and why we don't see any males besides our teammates but also allows him to write and develop some slow-building relationships which are a touch of fresh air in a setting where most girls are jumping on MC at first sight. In my opinion, one of the reasons why Harp, Veronica (and even Stacey) are so popular is because they aren't easy to get, even if we can feel there's an obvious attraction. We want some challenge and story build leading to intimate encounters, even if we love the other's eagerness as well. And there's also the rule-breaking thrill that only adds to the excitement

One theory is that Lauren is the one watching him, so if she falls for him there won't be anyone to stop her. Then after that she's willing to turn a blind eye because it would be hypocritical for her to stop the other staff doing what she's already done.

IIRC BD's refused to say. Some people suggested West Virginia because WVM but he's denied that. It's probably best to treat it like Springfield.
