Online version :After motel scene with alexia when i dance with her another day , when she wants to go motel the button of going to motel had macros somethung error and inly choice is "not this time " button or "another time" i don't remember clearly so sadly alexia has only 2 scenes in motel for me without repeats , i waited scenes with her about a half year minimum
I thought I had solved that error… let me check

she has 1 sex scene that is not replayable (because it deals with her mentally coming to terms with banging her stepbro lol - wouldn’t make sense multiple times) and then the 2nd scene should be repeatable (it has 10 versions)

I think a refactor of the saves and what variables are saved to local storage needs to be done at some stage. A save from the previous version was almost 400kb, quite large for a twine game. Loaded that and added two weeks of play in this version and were now at 700kb. I don't think I've seen a single save larger that that for a Twine game. Add in an autosave slot and the previous versions save, and now almost 20% of the total local storage allowed for local html files of a chromium based browser is taken up with just three saves. There is a 10mb limit on local storage. I had to delete some saves for other games to save a new save for this version and keep my previous version save, which is my save tactic.

I know I can use Firefox for folder based separate local storage to give individual 10mb buckets, but I've had issues with Firefox and twine games, so switched to Vivaldi.

The engine changes do seem to have sped things up considerably, so kudos for that. That was one of my main issues previously.

HiEv, the author of local storage manager, has a reddit post on how to reduce the size of local storage in SugarCube based games. Not sure how much is transferrable to Harlowe but worth a look. With more content getting added over time, save sizes are inevitably going to increase, so a change in tactic seems warranted at some stage. With 16 save slots available, at 700kb a save you wouldn't be able to use every slot before it hits the cap and breaks. Any other twine game saves and you would reach it much faster.

Aphrodite, love your game and it's certainly one of my favorites on the site.

I haven't quite played this new version yet as I like to give it a few days for mods to update and bugs to get ironed out. But I look forward to a new run all the same. :sneaky:

I did have a few ideas about possible changes, but they're significant changes.. but I figure why not. At least it may brew some ideas for you.

---Stat System---
Currently it seems to be a 1 - 10 system for Charm/Fitness/Int. I feel like changing it to be a 1 - 100 would align itself with the percentiles that a lot of the games are based on. With it being more granular like this, it would open up more design space. You can have smaller/larger penalties/bonuses. As it is, when you get to higher levels (8-10) it takes a long time of building experience to see your next benefit. I agree with this slow down, but if it's 80-100 then you'd see the benefits of the incremental effect of benefit more frequently. Works both ways as well - you could have a penalty give you -6% instead of it effectively always locked in with minimum of -10%.

---Will System---
This would be a complete replacement of the Action Point system, but used much more frequently and tie in as a primary resource. It would be another 100 point system. It's daily restoration would be impacted by arousal. This would be another reason to manage the arousal. The resource would be tapped to turn down guy's advances, or used to attempt to avoid creampies. Having the action points lost during Orgasm in the current system often made me not concerned with keeping them since they're lost so easily. In a since, the player wants to use their Will to advance their goals but as they get further and further 'reputation' around Work and out on the town - staving off the guys may get taxing. So careful! That is unless you're willing to embrace the lustful lifestyle you've gotten that reputation from in the first place. Someone saving their Will while also getting a strong reputation around town basically would lead right into the 'free use' system. :love:

---Breeder Pill can Orgasm---
Breeder Pill can Orgasm without needing to receive a creampie. Turns into more of a game to get relief and have the Will points to convince them to not fill you up. But Breeder at least comes with an added bonus of that nice auto orgasm when you do get the creampie.

---Addictions---
Addictions will effect how much Will Cost is needed for certain actions. The addiction will fade as you maintain time periods without supporting those bad habits. There can be many here, but starting off with a creampie addiction. ;)

---Exhibition---
On the road map I believe, but expanded here would be great. Might be good to put a femininity requirement on outfits now that there's a lot more outfits. Not wearing panties ideally should have some fun consequences.

---Bimbo---
As reputation builds, the guys should more frequently take advantage and trick the player character.


If you've read through the wall of text, I appreciate it! Hopefully there's some inspiration to be found here for yourself or perhaps some modders. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks again!

Oh no that’s very much still there! And I actually added some more details to it in this update (you get a notification about it later at night lol)

I installed a clean copy to start new, do i have to install another update cause i still see " transfer initiate" isn't valid Harlowe syntax for the inside of a macro call. " yeah1.png

There is a v0.21 hot fixed patch on TFgame link. It fixed most of the issue for me.

Thank you! You're the first person who mentioned that and I admit I was looking ;_;

As for the save size thing, that's a bit bigger jump than I was expecting -- especially since I happened to cut that down a bit as part of the engine changes (there is never more than one history moment now). It could just be the memory system, but maybe there's a bug inflating size that can be fixed.

We've also been looking into moving from standard local storage to indexDB, which aside from having vastly increased storage limits, should make it more viable to do compression or at least efficient serialization (a lot of space is consumed by redundant key strings in maps due to the lack of class/structs in harlowe).

Edit: after taking a look at a save file in the new version, I've found a massive variable that shouldn't be in there. Expect a fix soon.
